Welcome to our small livestock farm, where nature and farming harmoniously come together. We have a variety of animals including pigs, chickens, goats, ducks, geese, rabbits, and guineas, creating a lively and vibrant environment. Surrounding our farm, you'll find unimproved logging trails that meander through the woods, offering a perfect opportunity for hiking and exploring nature. Enjoy the serenity of the forest as you immerse yourself in its beauty. Along the trails, you'll also discover native plants and edible herbs, adding a touch of color and flavor to your outdoor experience. If you're a fishing enthusiast or enjoy water activities, you'll be pleased to know that the Holston and Clinch rivers, as well as Cherokee Lake, are just a short distance away. Spend your days fishing, boating, tubing, or kayaking, and embrace the peacefulness of the water. For those seeking a quiet and disconnected lifestyle, our farm provides a serene atmosphere where you can unwind and connect with nature. Enjoy the tranquility of rural living, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. However, if you desire social interaction or want to engage in small-town activities, you'll find various options within a 30-minute drive. Experience the charm of nearby towns and engage in community events and gatherings. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat, a chance to connect with animals, or outdoor adventures, our small livestock farm offers a diverse range of experiences to suit your desires. Our primitive, built on the property by the former owners, cabin has been outfitted with a full kitchen, a shower and a Nature’s Head composting toilet. You are welcome to explore our woods, join us in farm tasks, visit with our dogs, or just to hang out and cook and relax together. There is a home made fire pit beside the cabin and a charcoal grill on the deck for your use. There is no cell service on our property, but you should be able to make a wifi call and access your internet services if you want to. T he cabin backs right up to the woods and we do have spiders and occasionally other insects who make their way in to the living space. We generally live without AC and with our windows open, but the cabin does have a portable AC and dehumidifier for the muggy times. The cabin is located behind our home and the path to the cabin passes beside our home, but conversations and normal household noises are not something you can hear from the cabin. We have numerous indoor/outdoor cats, and of course our dogs can see hear and smell you. We will be happy to make appropriate introductions to the dogs if you care to meet them.
