Great stay at Jonathan and Julie's! They were helpful and responsive to messages. Jonathan helped us get oriented the first night and checked on us as we were packing up. Shower and portapotty were good for what we needed. There were towels, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, hand sanitizer. Did not use the fire pit, but nice option! There was a little bit of noise from animals in the morning and the ground was not very level but we made it work. Nice tent platform, but not large enough for my full size tent. Would definitely stay again for a quick easy place to park or tent camp with bathroom option!

I had a great time camping in Jonathan and Julie’s land. Great sunrise and mountain views which I enjoyed with my morning coffee. The hosts were friendly, communicative, and helpful. I would highly recommend and would be happy to return.

This place is just as listed. The view is beautiful! It is very much secluded from town about 10mins from I40 and 45-50mins from Gatlinburg. Jonathan and Julie were very friendly, had a campfire going on my arrival and we chatted a bit before calling it a night. The porta potty was clean, shower shack had nice hot water. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Great view and site to tent camp. Very accommodating. Our kids loved it and could play with the kids down the road nearby. We had a great time as a family there as we visited Gatlinburg sites.

Jonathan and Julie are exceptionally welcoming hosts! We had everything we needed and they were prompt to answer our questions. Julie even graciously showed us around after we got lost. Absolutely stunning place to stay!

Jonathan and Julie were very friendly and welcoming. The grass was nicely-mowed. The area was spacious. I had an open view of the mountains from my tent throughout the night and after awaking in the next morning.

Exactly as advertised! Tent pads were the exact size of the gazelle tent - perfect! Lovely view and nice having a hot shower. The host is so friendly and was so kind to come out and greet us/point out flat areas to pitch even though set backs on our drive had us arriving quite late at night.

My son and I spent three nights at Hiker's Rest while we did some hiking and site seeing at Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Julie and John were very accommodating hosts and provided excellent recommendations for our visit to the park. The amenities at the site were great for a three night visit, to include the outdoor shower, clean port-a-john and even the propane grill we had at our disposal. The beautiful morning sunrise over the Great Smoky Mountains was a wonderful touch. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Jonathan and Julie are very friendly and generous hosts. Their land is very pretty with a wonderful view of the Great Smokies. I would absolutely come back there in the future.

Julie and Jon are wonderful hosts. The yard is absolutely gorgeous. There is tons of space to set up a tent. The fire pit was nice to sit around while viewing the mountains. I stayed on the Fourth of July, so aside from some neighborhood fireworks, it is extremely peaceful. Sounds of nature and local livestock provide a wonderful backdrop while viewing the mountains, stars, or going to sleep. Julie had several recommendations for hikes nearby and is very knowledgeable on the area. I would definitely recommend staying here, and hope to return.

We had a great night at the Hiker’s Rest. The site was situated close to Great Smoky Mountain National Park and was a beautiful spot with mountain views. It was clean and comfortable for a night stop over on our cross country road trip. The Bunkhouse was air conditioned with fresh sheets, towels, and drinkable water. I would definitely recommend this stay!

This was such a friendly nice place to visit! It was my daughter’s first camping trip and they had such a good time. I wasn’t expecting to be in someone’s front yard, but it was amazing. Our host was super kind.

Beautiful space with views of the Smoky Mountains. There was a nice field to run and play for the kids. The hosts Julie and Jonathan were very welcoming. Hot water for the shower and water spigot that was filtered so easy to fill up bottles or use to make food. Would definitely stay here again.

The bunkhouse was perfect us! My friend and I stayed here for one night, and we had the place to ourselves! The bunkhouse has 2 queen beds on the lower level and 2 twin beds as the top bunks. We each had a queen to ourselves! There was coffee and snacks for a cheap price and frozen dinners too! We enjoyed the sunshine and looked out over the amazing views of the Smokies from the hammock. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again! Julie and Jon were incredibly nice and accommodating. The laundry was done by Jon in their home at no cost, and pur clothes smelled amazing when they were done! We enjoyed the hot water and shampoo, conditioner, and soap in the outside shower. For the price of this stay, it was a steal and I highly recommend staying here! Thank you Jon and Julie!

Absolutely phenomenal. Jonathan and Julie exceeded every expectation we had, to the point we will never camp another place while in Tennessee. Julie had amazing recommendations on hikes. Jonathan greeted us as soon as we pulled in. Their sweet dog Stella played with our kiddos. Everything was incredible. The views in the morning were breathtaking. I can not recommend Hipcampers enough. We WILL be back, soon!

Five stars- best view of the night sky I’ve seen in over a decade- the Milky Way was displayed in all her glory.
The Mountain View is exceptional and pairs well with the Misty Mountain sound track from the Hobbit.
The outdoor shower is very nice- perfect water pressure.
Finally - our Hosts, Julie and Jonathan are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
I will definitely come again.

I had a week stay at this camper with Julie and John. They are welcome couple and the Mountain View is gorgeous. The camper literally has all I need for my work and travel trip. The WiFi is fast and stable, I had my work done during the day with video conference without any problem. Nice hiking trails around 1hr range. They have a full kitchen in the camper, oven, stove, fridge even has a freezer. The shower in the camper only last a short time but they built a shower shelter outside which has a long lasting propane based shower. I have to use the portable John for my big business but the portable John is much cleaner than the ones you see in parks, since not many people using it (I think it’s only me) and they clean it seems like every 3days.

I camped out here with my 4 year old for the weekend and we loved our stay. The view is absolutely amazing to wake up to. They even have a tent platform available at no extra cost. Both Jonathan and Julie offered great hospitality and made us feel welcome before we even got there. Would definitely recommend for a private stay away from the city.
