Dan and Mandy were excellent hosts. We camped in campsite 10 which was big enough for two families with dogs. There was plenty of firewood to be gathered. Dan and Mandy were responsive, extremely accommodating, and checked in the right amount. They are very passionate about their campground and it shows. The bathrooms were well lit and fully stocked. Look forward to coming back here with the kids! There is a swimming hole on site but the water was low due to lack of rain recently. It was still knee high and felt refreshing. The kids loved walking through the water. The star gazing at night was incredible. There is no city lights. Will definitely come back!

Site 9 - Tent Camping by the Creek
We have stayed here a couple of times. The first time was great, just as described. The hosts were friendly and the remote location was very pleasant. This last weekend, it felt that a lot of things haven't been tended. There wasn't a sign for our site. We saw sites 1-7 and then site 10. 8 and 9 aren't marked and we just guessed where to stay. There isn't a shower, even though it shows as part of the amenities list. The bathroom structure is really nice, but 1 of the stalls had supplies stored in it, a light doesn't work in stall 2 and 3, only one decent stall available. We had paid for firewood, but none was left at our site. We saw a trailer that had some scrap wood in it, but it wasn't very good burning wood. I would only go back here if these updates are made.

This is honestly such a lovely place, I highly recommend! It’s not far from town, only about 20 minutes & it’s near this kayaking/canoeing/rafting (down the buffalo river) place called Crazy Horse! Crazy Horse is about 5 minutes down the road.
I had a blast as I do every time I come to HeartStone! & Dan & Mandy are so awesome! We stayed 5 days/ 4 nights & they refilled our water for us so we could shower with clean water! Next time we’ll be sure to bring more water! They also made sure we had plenty of firewood. We will definitely be back!

If you’re looking to disconnect from the daily rat race and visit a beautiful peaceful place then look no further. There is ZERO cell service here and that is NOT a bad thing. The scenery and location combine to make an extremely tranquil and enjoyable visit. The owner of this site is beyond hospitable and if you’re very nice they might even share a few quail eggs with you. 5 stars without question.

Absolutely phenomenal camping spot! Mandy the host was exceptionally great. She came to visit in the morning to check on us and bring the fresh farm eggs! They were amazing. She informed us of the property and good hiking spots. There was 22 natural springs on her beautiful property. We went hiking down the creek and that was amazing! The outhouse palace was great too! No smell and it was clean. 4 separate “toilets” so I never worried that it was occupied. I can’t wait to go back.

This was a very secluded and quiet campground. The landscape was absolutely beautiful. Our campsite was clean with a picnic table, garbage can and fire pit. Our firewood we ordered was ready for us when we got there. The creek is so fun to explore for the kiddos! We loved the scenery!

We had spot 6 to ourselves. It was right on a small creek. It was very peaceful since we were out there alone. I was happy that there was a bathroom, I was sad that it was also home to multiple generations of spiders. Not the host's fault. I don't believe in killing spiders so I left them peacefully to enjoy the spider convention that was obviously in full swing.

The land was so beautiful and quiet except for wonderful birds and crickets. Swimming in the swimming hole nourished my body. It made me feel like a girl again, wildflowers and an endless sky of millions of stars at night.
I will be back both by myself and to host an event.
I really enjoyed visiting with Mandy and hearing her passion for the land and the water.

NEW! Group Tent Camping West Tn
We loved this campground!! It was beautiful, and the campsites we're all really nice. We camp a lot, and this might have been our favorite place so far. Was secluded, and gorgeous scenery. They have a very nice Out Palace and Swimming Hole. Mandy went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Our dog also LOVED it! Overall 10/10, would definitely recommend visiting!

This was a wonderful camping spot. It felt very "in the middle of nowhere" but was not hard to get to. The actual campsites were spacious, with reasonable distance between you and your neighbors. The land was beautiful and full of places to hike -- our kids spent the whole time exploring the creek (which has a really neat rocky bed). We saw a ton of fish, snakes (all non-venomous!), and a turtle. We took a night hike and saw the milky way, although it *was *Tennessee on a hot night, so it was a bit hazy. We were so afraid of it being too hot to enjoy camping, but between the stream and the cool valley it was very pleasant to sleep despite leaving Memphis with temperatures in the mid 90's.
We purchased firewood and water and both were more than adequate, and the firewood included tinder & kindling to get things started. The firewood was well-dried hardwood and made some awesome coals for cooking.
If I haven't gushed enough, the bathroom facilities were the nicest (and nicest-smelling!) pit toilet I've ever used, with 4 stalls, no waiting, and motion lights for night-time drips.
The hostess greeted us very nicely and made sure we were happy, then left us alone to enjoy the woods. It can be a real trick convincing my kids to put down their electronics and enjoy camping, but they loved this spot. Highly recommended.

Stayed at site 10 and it was great. I loved the swimming hole, and watching the fish in it. It was easy to set a hammock up at our campsite with all of the trees around, and easy to get a fire going thanks to the fire pit and the $7 wood. (A good deal, we ended up having extra wood after 2 nights.) Mandy was welcoming and helpful. The other campers were nice too, but there was privacy and we rarely saw them.

We loved camping at Dan and Mandy's site. They have a great setup and was easy to get there. Also have some hidden coves that we will definitely visit again. You have a nearby shop minutes away and a Walmart store about 20 minutes from the site. They have some great ideas coming soon and I can't wait to see them on our next trip.

We had a great time camping at Dan and Mandy’s campground. It is a beautiful property with shaded campsites along a lovely creek with plenty of privacy compared to other busier campgrounds. With around ten campsites, it doesn’t get crowded. The Buffalo River kayak and canoe access is right down the road for a convenient paddling trip if you want to get out and explore. There is also plenty of land to explore right on the camp property. Mandy and Dan greeted us on arrival and were very accommodating, going above and beyond as hosts. I highly recommend this campground and will be back!

We were hesitant at first because we’ve never camped on private land before, but wow! The sites were roomy, the kids (7-10yrs) loved the creek, Frank the Lamb and close access to canoeing on the Buffalo. Very peaceful, respectful and kind fellow campers. Definitely will return, perfect drive from Memphis (even better from Nashville!). Mandy brought our excellent firewood, well water and fresh eggs right to our site. You’ll not meet a more friendly or helpful “park ranger” 😁 than Mandy!

Another great stay. Introduced some family to the camp and they loved it as well. Dan and Mandy are great hosts and check in to see if everything is going well. We are now planning our fourth trip to the camp. Kids even went swimming in the water hole.
