Throughly enjoyed our stay. Krys was wonderful and was very accommodating. Got several visits and some quality time with her pup. Loved to hear the rooster that couldn’t tell time. Apparently has its own clock. Don’t miss the opportunity to stay at Krys’ loft if available. Great location close to Fall Creek Falls.

Wow, I couldn’t have had a better experience! For a solo female and her dog I felt so safe and secure! Krys made sure everything perfect and has all the essentials you can think of for a weekend hiking trip!

It can be so difficult these days to find a clean, dog-friendly, & affordable place to stay - and this place meets all of those!
The host greeted us upon arrival, and was so sweet. She had reached out prior to our arrival to ensure she started the heat, and we were perfectly toasty all night even in the December cold.
The water was wonderfully warm, clean linens were provided, and you had all the cooking supplies you would need!
We were just stopping through for the night on our way to Michigan, but we have already flagged this HipCamp to return to in the future! We may have found our “half-way” stop for all future trips.

Loved staying at Krys’s land! Rustic and comfortable loft that was very clean and cozy. She was very hospitable and kind, showing us around and giving us free range of the property! We went to fall creek falls for the afternoon and came back to a fire going in the fire pit. Loved hanging out with her and her daughter and enjoyed their farm animals and dogs.

Very cozy stay! Host was friendly and left farm fresh eggs for us. We stayed for a long weekend and explored Fall Creek Falls- great location! There aren’t many grocery stores or restaurants nearby so be prepared

This was a super cool spot - plenty of woodland to roam and close to multiple parks and waterfalls. Krys is one awesome host and the loft was super clean. The AC worked great the ambiance was rustic and the everything I needed was provided. I will definitely return and looking forward to it.

I had a great experience. Krys was very hospitable. Showed me around her amazing property. And even have me some eggs from her chickens. Plus you can’t beat the price. I’ll definitely be back.

This Hipcamp was the perfect stop to break up a long drive down the east coast: the bed was incredibly comfy, the shower was wonderful and I was very pleasantly surprised with all the amenities. I will definitely be back if I find myself in the area again!! :)

Krys was so friendly and laud back, she made us feel like we were family. Collected fresh eggs for us. She even asked if there was anything we needed that she might have so we didn't have to go into town. She's a total sweetheart!

Had everything you need, super clean, and the host was very friendly and accommodating. Town was super close if you need anything. Near a few wonderful hiking and fishing spots. Well worth the price

This was our fourth visit to what has become our favorite hipcamp. In the past we have enjoyed it as a perfect resting stopover while traveling cross country. This time we were able to stay long enough to sample the surrounding area and we’ve fallen in love with Krys’s mountain. There are several amazing waterfalls and (free) State Parks within a half hour drive from this hipcamp. Also, there are nearby restaurants with delicious food and very reasonable prices. We loved the Old Times Cafe just up the road and the Foglight Foodhouse near Rock Island Falls. Hannsz Hideaway has everything you need to cook an amazing meal there, too and Krys was so generous in sharing produce from her garden with us. She sets the bar for hipcamp excellence! We are planning a much longer stay for our next visit.

This was our second stay at Hannsz Hideaway. It is the perfect halfway point for our frequent trips between Michigan and Florida. Of all the hipcamps we’ve visited this is the best. Krys is an amazing host going above and beyond to make her guests feel comfortable and welcome. The Hideaway has everything one might need for an overnight or extended stay. At this time we are heading back for our third visit. This property receives our highest recommendation!

This was the best stay! The place was just perfect. We got to see the baby pigs too! Krys is so hospitable and kind. We enjoyed roasting hot dogs on the bonfire, and cooked up farm fresh eggs for breakfast.

We stayed overnight while traveling from Florida to Michigan and found Krys’s loft to have everything we could possibly want. Clean, comfy, unique, and so many extras like TV with Netflix and good internet service. Our dog Zuzi found a great playmate in Krys’s canine.
Acres of beautiful land to explore. Perfect roads that are not heavily traveled and don’t add extra miles to trip. Krys’s friendly hospitality was the best of all.

We had a wonderful stay at Krys’s land. When we arrived we were greeted with friendly smiles and a roaring bonfire made just for us. Krys was more than happy to give us a tour of the site. The site had a rustic aesthetic but also contained all the necessary appliances including a shower which our group greatly appreciated. We chose to stop here along our road trip path because it was close to some great hikes and beautiful scenic views. I would recommend a stay at Krys H’s Land for anyone who appreciates good hospitality and a fun stop on their adventure.
