A little pocket of forest near downtown Chattanooga... A small spot with a fire pit has been cleared out and ready to pitch a tent. Primitive camping, just a spot in the woods and a fire pit. This spot is really close to downtown, about 5 miles. City noises can occasionally be heard but it is otherwise really peaceful spot. Private and surrounded by trees; You can camp deeper in the forest if you desire. There are no utilities or tent... just a spot to pitch your tent and beware of mosquitoes, Tennessee mosquitoes are something else.... A little pocket of forest near downtown Chattanooga... Great little spot it's less rural than usual. Great for a couple or a single person it's not far from grocery store plenty of fun stuff in the area. Great spot if your passing through and want to just pull up and set up camp. Plenty of DDD (Down,Dead,Detached) kindling and even small firewood. If I had more time I might have picked a more scenic spot. All a good spot you can park right next to site so easy to set up.
Good for the money. Had to get used to the traffic and train noise at first, which was at a distance, but not too distant... A good fire pit was there. Where I parked on the street was about 20 ft. from my tent. Good flat surface since there once was a house there. Overall good 👍.
Exactly as described -- just a piece of land hidden out of the way.
We were in our campervan and just pulled in for the night. We felt safe and it was relatively quiet.
It was a great location if you wanna explore the city and have a peaceful night amongst the crickets. Thanks Rami!!!
