I rented the spot for an overnight stay as I was in town for a hockey game. The host sent me directions as gps doesn't take you to the actual house. I had to go down a mile or so of very uneven gravel road that probably wouldnt be undriveable if I hadn't had a large pickup truck. Other than that the stay was good, I got a site and got set up easily. Overall I have nothing bad to say about the site but I would definitely not book it if you drive a Honda civic as you might leave without an exhaust or other underbody components

Perfect off grid spot! Little tough to find, rough roads but close to Nashville and friendly hosts! Definitely would return.

I loved tent camping here with my husband. The hosts are super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area.
Valerie suggested a good spot for my husband and I to go visit in town and no surprise there it was an awesome visit.
It is primitive camping. I believe we camped on the grass mound and it was tent friendly. If you drive a car, be careful going down the driveway as it’s a bit bumpy but accessible.
No issues with this site or host or any of the above. Very safe, private, and comfortable.

This was someone’s house VERY off the path with rough terrain, broken down vehicles, stacks of old tires, NO CELL service, and NO TRESPASSING signs EVERYWHERE!! We broke our camper on the rough roads and had to turn around. We were refunded $43 of our $57 🤷🏼♀️not sure why not a FULL REFUND?!?! This place should come with a WARNING

Beautiful area, the site worked well for what we needed it for but there wasn't a usable firepit. The 'firepit' was a pile of trash that had metal which doubled as a tripping hazard. We had to bulid our own firepit by digging through the trash for rocks. Disappointed by that since it has potential.

Great campsite that is secluded from the busy city of Nashville. Site owner communicated very well and the environment was very peaceful. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to camp close to the city for an extremely affordable price!

It was a little difficult to find, but once we got there, it was a pretty wooded area. We had easy access for water. There were no toilet facilities, but that was easily dealt with because of the open woods areas. Valerie and her husband were welcoming, informative, and pleasant to talk to. My friend Worth and I would definitely recommend this place to people looking for an opportunity to experience nature close to the big city of Nashville.

This space is beautiful and private. Valerie provided great directions that made it easy for us to find the spot. It feels so remote despite being so close to Nashville. Great hiking in the area with access to a stream.

If you really want to get back to nature, this is the property! Come before night fall since the roads are remote. Multiple times I could almost reach out and touch the wild turkey families & deer! Tens of thousands of old growth oak, etc. everywhere.
If you're tent camping you might hear the rooster and donkey on a distant farm across the hollow.

This was my 1st time so my nerves were on 10. Eye felt comfortable expressing this to Valerie when we talked due to her kind words of encouragement. She was very informative about where the site was, so Eye was able to go directly to it. When Eye pulled in the 1st thing that amazed me was the View. Wow! Don’t want to be a spoiler but it’s definitely a place U won’t regret. She even checked on me to make sure Eye had everything that Eye needed. Eye Appreciate that my 1st experience was there but not my last time going. Safety, Seclusion, Nature & Hospitality was my main concern. All of these areas were met with 5 Stars💜

We loved camping here. The hosts are so kind and helpful and the property is beautiful.
The only issue we had was getting a hold of Valerie upon arrival.

Very much off the beaten path. Easy enough to find. Little patch of grass with a campfire. More than enough space for a few tents and cars.
AT&T service ranged from 1 bar to 2 bars in the camping area but never cut out. Overall nice spot!

Valerie has a beautiful place. The land is very peaceful and Valerie is a gracious host. I really enjoyed my stay and will enjoy staying here again. It felt good to work on one of my new folk songs up there, and I would recommend this place to anybody who likes a beautiful spot to set up camp.

Flora and Fauna Camp is very much out in the sticks, which we appreciate. Nor far from Naashville: about a 30-minute drive. Slightly tricky to find: some GPS routes tries to take you over a creek that you have to ford, but the water isn't always so low. Google Maps was reliable. But be aware that you will likely lose signal on the way, so save the directions to your device. We have 1-2 bars with T-Mobile, which was enough for our T-Mobile Wi-Fi to work. Valerie was very pleasant and has some interesting stories. We were able to fill our water tank at their house; the extension cord for power was connected to a motorhome parked near the house. We ran our Honda 2000 watt inverter for power and it wasn't an issue. They have done brush hogging fairly recently, so there are lots of small tree stumps, bits of branches hither and gone, and so on. The road, once off Higdon, is gravel/clay/caliche and features quite a challenging moonscape of potholes. Some have been filled with crushed rock, but there are some whoppers. There was a road grader nearby: I was tempted to take it for a joy ride. :-)
Might not be the right place for everyone, but we're good with boondocking and it worked like a charm for us.

We travel in a 26' trailer and truck, 55'long total. Completely self contained. This location was Very peaceful with beautiful views and fabulous sunsets! The road in is gravel with some big pot holes. Most had been recently filled, but was still rough. We crept along at 5 mph (less than a mile) and didn't disturb anything in the camper.
The hosts were VERY friendly and offered us coffee! Otherwise we were left to ourselves as we wished. We did not fit on the site they had us booked for, but the offered us 2 other spots even offering to move one of their own vehicles to accommodate us. After 2 days we filled out water tank, and moved on!

This is such a pretty camp ground. The hosts are very helpful, kind, and even brought me coffee in the morning! Highly recommend if you are looking to get away and enjoy the outdoors!
