Fauna Forest Farm is 33 acres of open fields, hardwood and pine forests, a spring and creek, and beautiful mountain views. The vision of the farm is to be a place of sanctuary for both people and the life of the land - the plants, animals, insects, and fungi that inhabit it. Core to that is the educational programs, workshops, and therapeutic experiences we host, as well as regenerative agriculture principles we practice. The farm is also a place where community is fed through sharing in the harvest of organically grown eggs, veggies, foraged foods, and eventually, meats, dairy, nuts, and fruits. The farm is currently home to chickens and two horses. In the past, the farm nurtured Dexter cows (a small breed from Ireland), as well as much wildlife. We have only been on the land since 2022, and are still expanding our farm offerings, but we have big dreams for the farm and are grateful to open this place of sanctuary to others who share a love of the natural world.

Fauna Forest Farm's site for RV camping accommodates a 33 foot RV. The flattest part of the parking lot is along the tree line. At the end of the parking lot, you will see a very large oak tree - around the bend is a mulch path that takes you up to our school area. At the school area is our outdoor classroom, swings and slides for children, and a bathroom with composting toilet if you need it (you do not need to do anything special except close the toilet lid and the bathroom door when you are finished). If you have children, they are most welcome to play in the play area, but please don't play with anything that is inside or behind the classroom! You are welcome to picnic inside the pavilion/classroom though if you would like. You are welcome to go watch the resident chickens and horses, but please be careful as they have electric fences which, while they won't truly hurt you, they will definitely give you a good pop if you touch them. Please do not enter animal enclosures or allow pets and children to enter animal enclosures. Do not feed the animals anything, they are on special diets. Some have restrictions due to health issues. Feel free to hike around the property, we particularly love the back meadow - if you continue walking from the parking lot past the outdoor classroom and bathroom, you will see a large tipi out in the meadow. Another fun place to visit on the farm is the top of our "mini-mountain" - it is a bit of an incline hike, but there are nice views of the mountains and sunrise from up there! You can see the mini-mountain from the parking lot, but if you have questions about the best way to get up there, just shoot us a text. Lastly, if you are willing to stay up a bit late, the fireflies at the farm are truly amazing! We say they are "partially synchronous", as they like up together in seemingly randomly distributed groups.
