As you drive through the covered bridge and enter our 73-acre family farm nestled between the mountains, you will understand why we want to share this special place with our guests. A nature-lover’s dream, our log cabin studio art gallery by the pond is now available for overnight stays — a unique opportunity to experience the artist’s inspiration . . The gallery has a separate, private guestroom with a queen sized bed, cozy bathroom with shower, small fridge with freezer, microwave, and single-serve coffee and tea maker with complimentary pods. The guestroom is connected to the gallery but has a separate keyless entry to the outside. After hours access to the studio gallery is available for the enjoyment of our guests. A porch with table and chairs is also available for relaxing outdoors. We live in an area rich in history, and the cabin dates back 250 years. We have always landscaped for wildlife and provided food and habitat for multiple species, Gardening has always been a key ingredient in our lifestyle, as well as cooking, canning, art, antiques and music. We also have a small buffalo herd, and Sammy Fathead, our buffalo bull, is always happy to greet visitors who come with us to his pasture. We also have an authentic, working log cabin blacksmith shop, where our son Robin produces beautiful and functional artistic metal work. Johnny has been a wildlife artist for over 40 years, and his watercolors, prints, and pencil drawings are in the gallery, as well as the metalwork and other items we make here on the farm. Pat has had a commercial kitchen and catered and baked on site for nearly thirty years — you might get lucky and time your visit on a baking day, when she is preparing her goodies for a local farmer’s market. We look forward to welcoming you to our farm!

We stayed at site 6. Before we booked they showed us the property so we could decide where we wanted to stay. They were very hospitable and it was a nice quiet stay. Will definitely stay again!!

Great spot easy to get to off the highway but quiet once you get there. Artsy outbuildings, goats, buffalo and peacocks on the property which was super cool. Beautiful views of the mountains and nice secluded spots to camp, flush toilets and running water just a little walk away. . A+, would visit again!!

Pat's place was comfortable, had clean amenities, and cute farm animals! We camped at site 6 which was fairly private, you could hear cars on the road by the property but nothing too disruptive.

Our third time here. What a special space yall have created. Our kids love the whimsical bamboo forest and the buffalo feeding ritual. Nice flat space with bathroom and fire ring set up.

We loved our stay at Farmhouse Gallery and Gardens! It’s such a peaceful, quiet spot with a beautiful view of the mountain and open field right from the campsite. There are tons of great trails nearby, and it’s just a short drive to Johnson City. Perfect mix of convenience and tranquility!

This was my second time camping on this beautiful farm! I had a great time on both occasions. The sites are peaceful and private, with easy access to the amenities of town. I would definitely stay a third time! I loved the place.

Absolutely beautiful place, animals all around, and really nice hosts. Site 6 was very private and peaceful. It’s a bit far from the bathrooms, but it wasn’t a big deal for us. The bathrooms are indoor his/hers with a toilet and a sink. They were very clean. We’d happily stay there again.

Great little cabin for a weekend in E TN! Pat (the host) was super friendly and welcoming, the cabin is clean and comfortable, with comfortable bed and fluffy towels. The property is beautiful and quiet and we were greeted with some friendly peafowl on the porch for coffee time in the morning! This cabin is close to Johnson City and all its amenities but feels like the middle of the wilderness. If you're camping, there are trees for hammocks and shade for tent spots.

Hosts are great. Camp spot is very private, really nice trees and huge stand of bamboo. Walking distance to bathrooms. Firepit and table at site. Drinking water near bathrooms. I camped with my dog and hike around the property every morning. Close to restaurants and great hiking.

Pat welcomed me at my çampsite. Robin invited me to sit and talk by the creek. He showed me the fruit on the Paw-Paw trees. The peahens and peacocks visited me in the evening and in the morning. Magic the dog brought the rubber toy for me to throw so that he could run and catch it in the air. I appreciate the privilege of having been invited to stay at The Farmhouse Gallery and Gardens and the privilege of having been invited to provide this review! Thank you all!

Pat and Johnny's place is amazing! Gracious and kind hosts all around. When I first arrived, I was greeted by Pat and her son, Robin, as if I were an old friend. I arrived a bit early, so Robin showed me around the farm, from the buffalo and goats to the peacocks and pond; it was truly magical and peaceful. I most definitely will be coming back. Thank you for a wonderful, relaxing stay.

We love going to this campsite! Great private site and we enjoy our multiple daily walks to see the bison. Hosts are very accommodating and worked with us to schedule to help Fred the bison which my kids loved. We've been twice now and will definitely come back!

We had such a magical time on Pat and Johnny’s land! We felt welcomed immediately, and their property is like something out of a storybook. Plenty to do not only onsite, but also very close to fun day hikes at Beauty Spot and Rock Creek Falls. Despite a bit of road noise as others have mentioned, the spot site was beautiful and private. We would love to come again one day!

Just a beautiful area! We pulled our teardrop into site 4 which had a nice view and good proximity to the restrooms. Pat and John were lovely. We enjoyed talking with them and find them at the local farmers market. Came home with a fresh dozen eggs as well! Really nice area, and great hosts!

We were warmly greeted when we arrived, and treated with kindness like old friends the entire weekend. It’s a beautiful location, with an idyllic lily pad pond and captivating serene spots to rest in every direction. The grass was cut nicely on our site, and to allow us easy hiking around the bison pasture and goats. Curious peacocks followed us about. The barn swallows swooped and stole goose feathers and blooming dandelion. And I witnessed a bison stampede, only so briefly, when I suspect they thought I was planning to feed them. After which they returned to peaceful grazing. I can’t say enough to share how much we enjoyed this retreat. Thank you Pat for sharing your Walden Pond with us.

Pat gave us an incredible welcome to the property and it was quickly clear this would be an amazing stay. I mean, I saw a peacock and baby buffalo in 10 minutes of our arrival! We came for a local soccer tournament in Johnson City and a couple of our teammates camped out too. Thank you for everything Pat and I hope we'll be back! -Matthew

We stopped by on our way home to Maine in late March .We had a lovely spot up at the top of a field with a fantastic view. There is a nicely mowed path that follows a fence line , which makes for a nice morning walk. There are all kinds of fun things to look at down by the pond including a surprise in the “ old out house “ The date bars that the host gave us were very much appreciated not to mention delicious ! There is a bit of road noise but I suspect once the leaves are on the trees this will be cut down. A very lovely spot to visit.

We had a wonderful weekend camping at campsite 6! It was nicely tucked away giving us plenty of space and privacy. The property and the area is beautiful. Pat and Johnny were amazing hosts, friendly and welcoming. My partner loves Buffalo and getting to feed their Buffalo, Sammy, was a real treat. We hope to come back this summer. Absolutely recommend!
