Good Spot for hammock campers
The location is at the end of a 4 mile long gravel road. The road was fine to drive on, no 4WD needed,, my Kia Soul handled it well. After you arrive at the location, you close the gate behind your car so it’s secure, and it’s a very short walk .17 mile walk to the camping location.
The camping site is beautiful, right next to a creek nestled in the woods. There are 2 locations, separated by a short path. Each location has a fire pit and a wooden platform for tents.
Since we are hammock campers, we had to find trees with the right spacing and location. We found only 2 trees suitable for our hammocks, the Amok Draumr 5.0 and a Haven XL, they are at the spot with the fire pit without the grill.
We heard owls and coyotes that night. And ATV’s throughout the day. We were there on a Saturday so I don’t know if that makes a difference, but it was non stop ATVs up and down the dirt road. None of that is the host’s fault, of course. And you may not hear any ATV’s. So I’m just letting everyone know there is a possibility.
Overall it was an amazing night.
