Escape into the mountains and wake up to a delicious breakfast. Nestled among the hollows and ridgelines on the side of mountain at the edge of the Cherokee National Forest, private canvas tents at BLK147 offer a secluded woodland experience without sacrificing comfort. There are no roads, rooftops, or neighboring tents in sight—just your own peaceful corner of nature. Each tent is accessible via a short walk through the trees, where the hustle of daily life quickly fades away. Inside, a comfortable queen bed and versatile lounge seating create a space perfect for slow mornings, afternoon naps, and evenings illuminated by lantern light. Outside your tent, a private outdoor hot shower opens to the sky, surrounded by the sounds of birdsong and fresh mountain air. When hunger strikes, the shared open-air field kitchen and firepit area provide essential cooking facilities for simple meals beneath the canopy of trees. Each morning, guests receive a continental breakfast and made-to-order breakfast sandwiches delivered hot in a chafing dish, so there’s no need for an alarm clock. Fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables grow near the field kitchen. Chickens and goats roam freely on the mountain, guardian dogs keep watch, and perimeter fencing helps keep wildlife at bay. The retreat is adults-only, offering a peaceful, quiet environment designed for restful escape in an increasingly busy world. Located in a rare mountain fold - sunrise and sunset move through the treetops with the light appearing or disappearing in every direction. Fire restrictions follow Cherokee National Forest guidelines. Guests with pets are welcome to contact us beforehand to ensure the best fit for their stay. Located in Southeast Tennessee near the Toccoa, Ocoee and Hiawassee Rivers; Campbell Cove Lake; Turtletown Falls; the Cherokee National Forest; Fields in the Woods; Cherohala Skyway; the towns of Ducktown, Copperhill/Maccaysville GA; Murphy NC, Blue Ridge GA, Coker Creek, and Tellico Plains.

Whisper "Hollar" | Secluded Canvas Stargazer Tent | Hike-in · Adults Only Hidden among the trees in a private woodland hollow, Whisper "Hollar" is designed for guests who love being outdoors but appreciate a few comforts along the way. A short one-minute walk from the trailhead brings you to your own secluded retreat—no neighboring tents in view, no traffic, no distractions. Just the sounds of the forest and the rhythm of the mountains. Inside the spacious canvas tent, you'll find a queen bed with fresh linens, a comfortable sofa, and room to relax between adventures. Large screened openings invite the forest in, creating the feeling of sleeping among the trees while still enjoying a furnished, comfortable retreat. Just steps away is your private outdoor shower with adjustable hot water and a dedicated pit latrine. After a day in the mountains, there's something surprisingly memorable about showering beneath the forest canopy while listening to rustling leaves. We've taken care of many of the things campers usually have to haul in themselves. Fresh linens, towels, toiletries, drinking water, cookware, dishes, and cooking essentials are all provided so you can spend less time packing and more time enjoying your stay. The shared field kitchen offers space to prepare a meal, enjoy your morning coffee, or gather over breakfast. Each morning a Continental Breakfast is waiting for you. Hot breakfast sandwiches are prepared fresh and held in a chafing dish — on your schedule, not ours. As evening settles in, relax around the shared firepit or simply listen as the hollow grows quiet beneath a canopy of stars. Sleep easy knowing the property is surrounded by bear-resistant fencing. Tucked within a mountain fold, this site experiences sunrises and sunsets differently than most mountain destinations. Light appears and disappears through the trees from every direction. The forest's own version of a solar eclipse - genuinely unique.

Secluded Mountain Tent | Adults

The Prospect | Secluded Mountain Tent | Adults Only More than a century ago, prospectors searched these mountains for gold. Today, the real treasure is something quieter—cool mountain air, towering hardwoods, peaceful solitude, and the rare luxury of having an Appalachian ridge almost entirely to yourself. Your adventure begins at the shared field kitchen and parking area, where a wooded footpath winds gently down into a quiet hollow before climbing to your secluded retreat. The short walk, with about 70 feet of elevation change ending at roughly 1909', is part of the experience, creating the feeling of leaving the everyday world behind. Inside, you'll find a queen bed dressed in crisp white linens, comfortable seating for reading or simply enjoying the quiet, and thoughtful touches that make the outdoors feel welcoming rather than rugged. Outside, settle into an Adirondack chair or stretch out in the gravity lounge beneath a canopy of trees. As evening settles over the ridge, fireflies begin their evening dance through the trees, owls call in the distance, and the night sky reveals more stars than most guests have seen in years. End the evening around the shared campfire, where complimentary firewood and s'mores invite conversation—or simply enjoy the peaceful solitude of your own secluded corner of the mountain. Each morning begins with a continental breakfast, along with our signature made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, delivered hot to the chafing dish so you can start your day whenever you're ready. The shared field kitchen is stocked with cooking essentials, farm-fresh eggs, and everything you need to prepare a simple meal during your stay. A private pit latrine is located by your tent. For longer stays, we can arrange to use the shower in the lower level of the cabin. Although The Prospect feels wonderfully secluded, you're just a short drive from the Cherohala Skyway, Ocoee River whitewater rafting, mountain hiking, waterfalls, scenic drives, and the welcoming small towns of southeast Tennessee. Whether you're celebrating something special or simply escaping the pace of everyday life, The Prospect offers the rare gift of privacy, quiet,
