BBA has taken the guess work out of rustic camping. Consistently ranked as a Best of Tennessee Hipcamp and situated in a convenient spot for Upper Cumberland waterfalls, hiking, kayaking, lake life and more. A short list of what to expect on site includes: PRIVACY - ADVENTURE - GETAWAY Quick response time/Clear communication Spacious, shady, leaf-bed campsites 360 degree views of relaxing nature 27 Foot Waterfall (365 days of flow except during severe drought) Rock shelter under Ledge Waterfall Two shallow lazy rivers for soaking Hiking trails onsite Multiple spring-fed creeks Countless water cascades for exploring Star gazing over wide pastures Old forests for ample shade and hammock hanging Cellular reception at campsites (usually at least 1 bar) Please read the site descriptions carefully to match your style of camping with the appropriate campsite. BBA guests frequently camp with a tent, vehicle, smaller camper, hammock tent, roof top tent, pop-up camper and similar styles.  Most photos in this listing are taken onsite. Please keep in mind this is primitive and wild Tennessee landscape that may also contain poisonous plants and wildlife in or around camp. Access to fresh water fun is a short down-hill hike for all guests, with the exception of our hike-in campsites which are positioned alongside the river. Each spot has been strategically selected to provide as much privacy as possible, and comfortably accommodates groups with two vehicles. We provide a rock fire pit and heavy-duty, cast-iron grill grate. You provide everything else, including drinking water and personal toilet waste bags if you plan to use our system. The hike-in sites come with extra seating.  Every guest must be included on your reservation, and adult guests may be required to provide identification. Thank you! COMMUNITY COMFORT STATION: There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower stall for hanging your own solar shower bag. The comfort station also includes a changing room which doubles as a private place to use your portable camping toilet. A toilet seat and bucket system is provided but guests will need to use their own waste disposal bags, available at most camping supply stores. The backside of the comfort station has a rain barrel (not potable) collection system for extinguishing fires. OFF-ROAD CONDITIONS:  Due to the primitive nature of our location, all reservations should expect hilly terrain and potential bumpy or some muddy road access, especially after heavy rain. We ask all guests to help us minimize impacts by driving with care. Vehicles with low ground clearance or low-profile tires are no longer permitted to use the off-road drive and must park at the entrance. If you want a campsite with the shortest walk from the entrance parking area, you will want to select campsite 5, 9 or 6. When the road is open during unusually wet periods, we recommend AWD or 4WD as a precaution. We are continuously working on improvements for our off-road drive. Belle and Beau Acres is a farm homestead with a personal campground, conveniently located less than five minutes from I40.  Expect nothing short of 360 degree views of relaxing nature, privacy, and spontaneous adventure when recreating at this agritourism location. Central to the most beautiful middle Tennessee destinations, BBA is the perfect home base for hiking, biking, kayaking, and fishing excursions to at least 10 nearby state parks and lakes. Conveniently located on the Eastern Highland Rim between Nashville, Knoxville and Chattanooga in the lower Appalachian mountains, this area sits at the Upper Cumberland Plateau and is part of Tennessee's largest micropolitan area of Cookeville. Visit popular nearby attractions such as Cummins Falls, Burgess Falls, Fancher Falls, Greeter Falls, Fall Creek Falls, Blue Hole, Rock Island, Center Hill Lake, Dale Hollow Lake, Caney Fork River, Standing Stone State Park, Virgin Falls, Rock Island, Cordell Hull, and Edgar Evins State Park. (2) Campsite two is a a hike-in tent and hammock campsite best for couples or up to four people, but site capacity is set to allow two extra children. It is mostly level, shady and tucked 8 feet above a babbling, shallow, rock bed river. The site does not have a guard rail or fencing, caution is required. Guests park at the top of the main trail near the comfort station and hike a short but steep and narrow path (1/10th of a mile) downhill. Includes wood seating for two. Has one very nice tent spot and other space for hammocks and shelters. We recommend packing light for the trek back up. Campsites 2 and 4 share the same main trail and then each branch off for their own campsites. They are positioned not too far from each other, but far enough to respect privacy, separated by a lush forest area. The autumn leaf drop will open a distant view, but not clearly. (4) Campsite four is a hike-in tent and hammock campsite, level, shady, and tucked about 8 feet above a shallow, rock bed river. Very large and spacious campsite, and the best riverside spot for a large family or group. The site does not have a guard rail or fencing, caution is required. It has a very slight slope in the parking portion, but has at least several level tent options and plenty of trees for hammocks. Guests can sometimes hear the rushing creek below. Easy access to hiking trails. Includes a rustic rock firepit and heavy duty grill grate to cook over the fire. This spot is popular with couples for having a bit more privacy. (5) Campsite five is a is a drive up campsite, and easily accessible by vehicle from the entrance of the campground. Site 5 has extra field space in front of it, making it ideal for groups who want to play yard games, or have an extra vehicle. Vehicles cannot park inside the campsite due to varying levels of terrain at the entrance but this tent and hammock site is level, shady, and spacious. There is a short, private trail to a small, spring-fed creek. An overlook of the forest hillside is best observed in spring and fall. (6) Campsite six is NEW and IMPROVED! A leaf bed campsite with a gentle down-hill slope, overlooking a beautiful wooded holler which usually glows at sunset. Due to the slope, we recommend this as a tent and hammock only site, but guests are also welcome to sleep in their vehicle, parked at the front of the campsite. This is a very good option for quick overnight stays. Includes a rustic rock firepit and heavy duty grill grate to cook over the fire. Easy access by vehicle, a very short walk to a star gazing field, and across from the entrance to our "Spring Trail" a meandering wooded trail along the spring system that feeds the upper cascades above the falls. (7) Campsite seven is great for all styles of camping about mid-way through our old-growth forest. Level parking available at the top for two, with at least 3 level tent spots on a gently sloping hillside. Very shady, and easy driving access from the entrance. A good option for families with vans, roof top tents, teardrop campers, but may require backing in. This extra large campsite has plenty of space for hammocks and extra setups. Convenient access to hiking trails on site. Includes a rustic rock firepit and heavy duty grill grate to cook over the fire located at the rear, lower end of the campsite. This is one of the largest campsites available, situated about half way through our forest road and is surrounded by 360 degrees of mature growth and nearby to campsite 1 if looking to visit with friends. If stargazing is your thing, it's only a short walk on either end for a wide open stargazing field. What a wonderful time, my husband and I had. We camped on lot 3. It was perfect for the privacy we wanted. We enjoyed the trails and all the beautiful wildflowers. Let me tell you, if you love to star gaze like I do this is a great place to camp. Christine's has such a beautifully maintained property that is secluded. We bought 3 batches of firewood. Her setup was simple and easy to use at the check in location. We can't thank them enough for our wonderful stay. They have put a lot of heart into this property for everyone to enjoy.

My partner and I had the BEST time camping at this property. We loved the creek and our campsite had perfect privacy and proximity to the comfort station. Christine was a very lovely and kind host. Very responsive and helpful and she even went above and beyond to help recover a necklace I left at camp. This property was such a thriving natural space that was exactly what we were looking for to celebrate our love.

Christine was more than helpful with navigation to the site, providing maps and clear directions to get us there safely! We had the most lovely time and plan on stopping back through on our way back (we just loved it that much) would recommend to anyone who’s just passing through or staying for a night or two! There is a BEAUTIFUL waterfall if you’re brave enough to venture down the creek bed too :)

My daughter and I stayed here for two nights and had the best experience! The hosts were so nice, accommodating and helpful!!! The campsites are HUGE and well spaced out, very private. The property is well kept and clean. The trails were clear and well kept, easy hike to a 27 foot gorgeous waterfall, we swam in the shaded creek right by it. There is a comfort station with an outdoor shower if you have a solar shower, ‘outhouse’, sewing kit, women’s hygiene items, extra bbq tools to borrow and tons more care items. Will definitely be back!

This was our second time at Belle and Beau. It was a peaceful restful experience, just like our first time. Everything is easy to find. The hike is great with a beautiful waterfall at the end. And it’s just the right amount/kind of hike you’d want at a campsite like this. It’s also very private. There were at least 3 other groups at the same time as us, but we never heard a peep. I would definitely recommend Belle and Beau!

We stayed at hike-in campsite 2. The site was well shaded and had a running stream next to the site that kept the temperature cool despite it being 90 degrees that day. There were two wooden chairs and a stone fire ring with a metal grill. Our site was isolated from the other hike-in, so plenty of peace for those who are looking for nature. The property has been beautifully taken care of by Christine and family. Every where we looked it was a feast of natural beauty for the eyes to take in. We loved and will look forward returning with our families! Thank you, Christine and Freya!

Christine’s property was stunning. She’s found the balance of perfectly kept and unkept. The campsites are spacious and offer a good amount of privacy. We also enjoyed the little trails offering incredible creek access. It was the perfect getaway for our family of four. The kids (3 & 4) loved the creeks and felt confident in the trails! We will be back!

Really nice well kept spots, well spaced, most of them very private. I choose site three and after viewing the others I think I choose the best one. All of them are nice tho and I did not view the hike in spots as they are private to those who reserve them. The hiking trails were short , which worked well with my limited time there, but most led to a nice private stream. Had it been a bit warmer I can only imagine how nice it would have been to shower under the little waterfall (soap free of course). There is a nearby highway, it is distant enough that it is not bothersome at all, but if you're looking for that dead silent but for the sounds of nature night, you won't quite have that. Nice custom cooking grates for the fire rings.

Christine’s land is so special. I had a great experience and I left so restored- exactly what I needed. I hope to suit up with lighter gear and camp but the river sometime in the future. Spending my afternoon there was truly so peaceful, but I loved my site (no. 6) and its blanket of green trees and incredible birdsong and butterflies. Truly can’t wait to visit again!
