No bells and whistles here, just a really great spot to base yourself to explore the Port Arthur area. The property is a vacant block in the town of Taranna and close to many great attractions. The property is fenced in with a gate and offers a basic, flat grassed camping area. There is a fire pit available for campers to enjoy in the evenings after a day of exploring the region. Campers are required to be self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. It is a 300m walk to the public toilets from the property. The Taranna boat ramp is just down the road along with some great fishing spots. The Port Arthur historic site is a 20 minute drive away and Pirates Bay is a 10 minute drive where you can access scenic cruises and fishing charters. There are plenty of stunning lookouts, walking trails and scenic drives in the area to explore. Pets are welcome.BUT please take your doggy doodoo’s with you . Don’t leave it for the next person … thank you

Tasman Peninsula Camp
Great spot - fully fenced which made it both kid and dog friendly! Lots of see and do in the area and a short drive to other places such as Port Arthur, Nubeena and Eaglehawk Neck. Tight entrance with a bigger van and a busy road to navigate it but achievable. Will be back!

Great central camp!
Great central camp for exploring the peninsula. Fully fenced for kids and dogs which was great! Access to the foreshore directly opposite. Clean amenities at the Taranna community centre which is only a 5min walk. Great spot for a group or just a family. Can’t wait to go back.

Great location close to Fortescue bay.. Handy with the community hall around the corner, which is a great turning spot if you have a van and over shoot the turn off.

Water view camp plus doggos!
Fantastic site, stellar location and awesome people. We had up to 3 caravans, 2 boats and 5 or so vehicles at times and still plenty of room to turn everything around (with a little juggling) abs for the dog to stretch his legs. Great fire pit options. If you are towing long or wide vest to approach the gate from the south (port Arthur end) for a little more space.
