Yes you want to stay here!!
This was my first experience with Hipcamp, and Katie and Chris set the bar extremely high! Their property was beautiful and easy to navigate. Katie came out to greet us, helped us with firewood (and other miscellaneous items we forgot), gave us recommendations for local things in the area, and overall they were friendly, hospitable, and easy going.
We were the only ones there and stayed in a campsite nestled in the pine trees. The bathroom was a little outhouse about 30 second walk from our campsite, and was very clean! We were able to see the sunrise from our campsite each morning, as well as a crazy sky full of stars, so make sure you have enough firewood to stay out and soak it all in.
Overall, it was a great experience, and we will definitely be back!

Rooftop camping in the country.
The campsite on the farm was perfect for my rooftop tent. The trees offered privacy and it was close to the cabin where my mom was staying. It was beautiful to wake up to the sunrise and watch the harvest moon at night. My dog was also welcomed which is always an important part of trip planning as she generally comes everywhere!

Specialty Log Cabin
Cabin camping on the farm.
We absolutely loved our time on Katie and Chris’s land. The views were beautiful, the cabin was cozy, and they were such excellent hosts. We spent our whole weekend relaxing in the yard in front of the cabin, watching the chickens and the nearby farmers harvest. They have everything you need for a comfortable weekend away in the country and were so kind and accommodating. Definitely plan on coming back!

Camping at The Speciality Crop
This was a great spot. I was met at the entrance and showed where I should park. It was beautiful. I had the BEST shower of my life in the outdoor shower. Hot water. Great pressure and complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Finishing off my shower with really nice lotion. Running water in the bathroom. My site looked out over a corn field. I was hoping for a sunrise in the morning. But it was cloudy. I got chickens instead. And it was awesome!!
The hostess Katie was awesome. She checked on me and made sure I had everything I needed. I have dropped a pin and made this one of my favorite spots!
Thank Katie and Chris for providing a unique and special place to land for a night. Or a few!!

Specialty Log Cabin
Perfect Stay!
We stayed in the farm's adorable little real log cabin. So much more than the usual “camper’s cabin” found at the state parks, it was a bargain by comparison.
We loved the brand new, very comfortable queen-size bed with clean linens, and a single air bed worked well for our daughter. A small chair, and a table and chairs complete the room. There is also a small loft for extra space. Air conditioning made it easy to sleep even on a very hot night, and there is an electric fireplace for cool evenings. A wonderful guest bathhouse with a composting toilet and fully enclosed hot shower with luxury toiletries is just a short walk away.
There are also a couple of small RV or tent sites with electric for those who bring their own accommodations. The farm is beautiful -- 5 acres of hardwood trees, towering pines, cornfields, walking paths, privacy, and wide-open, dark skies for stargazing.
We were entertained by the free-range chickens and rooster, cats and a new puppy. We also bought delicious farm-fresh eggs (unwashed so they don't have to be refrigerated) from Katie and Chris and their friendly family. We'll be back!

Sweet very homey rural location
Brand new, large and adorable shower and bathhouse. Beautiful farm area with picnic table and fire pit with grill area. Loved our stay. Enjoyed the sunrise and the animals that dropped by for a visit. Sweet hens and a couple cats. Owner brought new puppy out to greet us it was such a nice atmosphere. Loved it.
