Loved staying at this site. We were on a trip with my family to see the National Parks. It was perfect for us. We used the 2 RV sites and 1 apartment - 1 family tent camped, 1 was in a trailer, and 1 stayed in an apartment. The covered patio of the apartment was the right size for our group of 10 to have shade and eat together. Plenty of space to throw a football and have the kids run around.

Beautiful level spot. 10 minute drive to Wind Cave. Great place for a basecamp for Wind Cave, Badlands, and Mt. Rushmore. Had everything we needed. Would stay again if ever in the area.
Hosts were very helpful. They even helped with our Jeep that needed grease in the bearings.

The hosts for Stagecoach Stays were very nice, very helpful, and responded very quickly to any question. The west site that we were in, was long enough for our 34-ft motorhome and tow car. It was a full hookup site. There was Wi-Fi, but it was a little weak. When it worked, it was very fast. We could also get two bars on our Verizon cell phones. While there, we saw several flocks of wild turkeys, and some deer. We very much enjoyed staying there for a week, and would definitely stay there again. We camped at Stagecoach Stays in a Motorhome.

we spent a week at the RV East site as the base camp for exploring the sites we wanted to visit in the Black Hills: Custer SP, Needles Hwy, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, Wind Cave, Badlands NP.
Our host, Clark was great. he greeted us, offered information on the area, and was available if needed, otherwise left us alone. the site is beautiful, looking over the hills. great sunrises and sunsets. he has a sprayer that puts out corn kernels for the deer and water troughs for the wildlife who visited for a drink throughout the day. having full hook-ups for a week stay was great, and the wifi worked great.
thank you for having us, and we look forward to seeing you the next time we travel west.

As city kids out on walkabout, I really appreciated the very clear directions about how best to enjoy and avoid the wildlife! The apartment was a perfect way for us to enjoy such beautiful property and see the Milky Way and stars without the added costs of an RV or tent that we don’t have. Our boys had the best time! It was our home base for four days with easy access to Custer National Park and Mt Rushmore and not too much farther to the Badlands National Park. But Hot Springs was so adorable itself that we could have spent all our time there! This is a great location! We loved it!

I live fulltime in my RV and have stayed at many different types of places. My favorite campsites are places where I have a lot of space, a beautiful view, I am not crowded with other campers, and I have full hookups. This HipCamp was my favorite one to date. The view over the hills was gorgeous, the site was huge, and the owners invited us to explore their 95 acres of land.
If there was any downside it was that we had a huge thunderstorm one night. The nearest weather station counted over 1,500 lightning strikes overnight. There is a large barndominium nearby which I figured would actually take any direct lightning strikes so I wasn't too worried.
The town of Hot Springs is currently undergoing massive construction work. I would recommend only approaching and departing this site from the North on Hwy 385.
We enjoyed visiting The Mammoth Site and grabbing ice cream at 2 Cows Creamery. This site is located about an hour south of Mt. Rushmore and I'd recommend going to the sunset ranger talk and lighting of the monument.
The main nearby attraction is Wind Cave National Park but it is currently closed for elevator maintenance and will be for a few more months.

Shelley & Clark are amazing host and fantastic people. Pictures do not do their place justice. Sunrise and sunsets were spectacular. Deer and turkey walk right by your campsite. Definitely recommend! We will be back for sure!

We stayed at Stagecoach Stays in June and loved it so much that we came back for 5 more days in July! Clark and Shelley are perfect hosts. And the location is great for visiting Hot Springs, Wind Cave NP or Custer State Park. The view of the valley from our RV was spectacular and we loved seeing the deer feed beside our camper. Excellent site!

We found Stagecoach Stays when we were just five minutes away, and Clark still welcomed us warmly and helped us into our spot. We so appreciated him and this beautiful location. Going to bed with Kyle deer just outside our door and waking up to quarreling turkeys was the best!

This property was great because it had all the features of a typical campground but not the crowds! We loved the wide open space. The property had everything advertised and was very well kept. The hosts were friendly and gave us tips for the area. We would definitely stay here again when we are in the Hot Springs area.

The host greeted us with a warm welcome upon arrival with local suggestions of place to visit and eat at. The site and hook ups were well maintained. The location is close enough to lots of outdoor activities, but still quiet and peaceful for a relaxing stay. We only stayed 2 nights so did not have enough time to explore all this area has to offer. We will definitely be back to stay at this site!

A beautiful, private spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were communicative and friendly… never intrusive. We had the whole place to ourselves! Our RV spot was perfect… and I would absolutely consider booking one of their apartments if we needed a shorter getaway without the camper. We spotted deer, turkeys, and our total highlight… fireflies! This is a short drive from Hot Springs and Angostura. We will absolutely be back!

I am a Hipcamp newbie and Shelly was so kind and helpful when I literally coasted in on fumes! She went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and relaxed. The sites are both really nice, easy to access, and have gorgeous views. I even had a deer wander by the camper at dusk!

Best camping spot, by far!! The hosts were so helpful and friendly! We had trouble with our vehicle earlier in our trip, and they checked on us a couple of days after we left them. Absolutely gorgeous views! Turkeys and deer are able to be viewed on property. Peaceful and relaxing! Wish we could have spent more time there. I would HIGHLY recommend this site! Wonderful drive through Wind Cave seeing bison on the way. Not too far from Hot Springs. Great base camp for Custer, Mt. Rushmore, and all that the area has to offer! We will DEFINITELY stay here again!! ❤️❤️❤️

My wife and I loved our time at Stagecoach Stays - South Apartment in the Black Hills.
The apartment was clean and well-furnished. It was above and beyond our expectations and more than enough for our needs. The view of the blackhills from the back porch was beautiful and peaceful..
We were within driving distance of Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, both the Wind Caves and Jewel Caves, and the Badlands aren’t too far out of the way either.

Clark is a fantastic host! He gave us great information about the area, what. To see & how to best get around. Their land is beautiful in the hills quiet & spacious, and close to hot springs & national/state parks, caves. Our back door porch gave us a lovely view of the land & the wild life. We were quite comfortable in a very clean quiet suite with all the amenities needed. Awesome that the stage coach names is from an actual stage coach route!

This was our favorite camping spot! 1) The Hosts: Incredibly kind, accommodating, made us feel so welcome. Enjoyed talking to them so much, just seem like genuinely authentic people, but they also give you as much privacy as you need. Felt incredibly safe. 2) The space: They have the most beautiful land! Scenic, rolling hills & mountains view! Wild Buffalo less than 2 miles away, wild turkey & mule deer wondering around quietly in the beautiful yard. Complete hookups, wifi, pull through, picnic table. Truly enjoyed our stay here, highly recommend.

Don't hesitate for a MINUTE to book a stay here. We stayed in one of the RV spots with our 39-ft fifth wheel. To have a host that was also a full-time RVer (like us) who just gets it is a blessing. Host was so patient with my many questions, and warned me about the major construction in Hot Springs, a concern with a larger rig. We stayed here for three nights and honestly it was truly hard to leave. Turkeys and mule deer each day, gorgeous views and a truly peaceful place to stay. We do hope to return here again.

This is a peaceful, serene spot right outside of Wind Caves NP and just minutes from town. Every morning I was greeted by wild turkeys and deer. The site itself was completely flat which made setup a breeze. Shelley was quick to make a few phone calls and find a store in town that had supplies I needed. This is definitely a 5 star stay and I will definitely be back.
Warning though . . . the streets in the town of Hot Springs are under major construction and the detours are tight in places if you're driving a big rig. I brought my 5th wheel through town but left via a gravel county road known as the 7-11. It was a very good gravel road and I would definitely ask the hosts for directions via the 7-11 to avoid the tight detours in town.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The views are incredible. It was peaceful and serene. Loved seeing wildlife daily. Excellent stay, I hope we get the chance to come back! Loved having full hookups in such a peaceful setting, made working from home easy and our starlink service was excellent from here.

My hosts were fantastic people that went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed and a pleasant stay. The property was gorgeous, felt private and large. They also offered great tips for what to see nearby. This was only a few miles from Wind Cave NP and dowtown Hot Spring in either direction which was another plus!

I can’t decide what to talk about first it was such a fantastic stop. This place is a gem!!! The hosts were hands down made to be Hipcamp hosts. Super hospitable, helpful with the area, warm and welcoming, As a fellow hip camp host I can tell you these people do it right. The site was gorgeous. Beautiful views, nice gravel area, full hook-ups, and picnic table. Super close to Wind Cave NP, and Hot Springs, Custer SP, Mt Rushmore, etc. We would definitely return!!
