Perfect Spot for Our SD Travels
We recently stayed at this camping spot while exploring all things South Dakota. The location couldn’t have been more ideal from the Badlands, to Mount Rushmore to Devils Tower! Our campsite offered just the right amount of privacy, with a beautiful vista that really enhanced our experience. The surrounding scenery was breathtaking, making it a peaceful and picturesque place to relax. A special shoutout to Doug, who checked in on us during our stay. He was an absolute joy to talk with and made us feel right at home...along with his doodle Fonzie. A bonus was being so close to Cheyenne Crossing, where we enjoyed some incredible food. The Fry Bread taco is a must-try, and don't miss out on their delicious fry bread dessert! This spot truly was a perfect home base for our travels in the area, and we can't recommend it enough.

Quiet and beautiful place
Site very convenient on concrete slab. They provided us potable water. Very quiet. The surroundings are astonishing. They only suggestion would be to put a Garbage container ( not a commercial one but a medium size domestic one) to allow us to put our litter in.

Luxury RV Canyon Retreat
June is a gracious host. Our site was accessible, and in a remote and beautiful area of the Black Hills. As stated by other campers, there is no shade, so prepare accordingly. There is a slight lateral slope on the pad and you'll probably need an extension to plug into the post. Confirmed there is a water source by the pavilion, but no direct hook-up. Considering the remoteness of the area, we had many visits from support staff, and other helpers.
