Cougar Lodge gets its name from the large amount of wildlife in the area. You can watch the deer meander by while your family enjoy barbequing on your own gas grill. The property connects to Lake Park Campground and Canyon Lake where you can enjoy fishing, take a paddle boat to explore the lake, or start a bike ride on the 8 mile paved trail passing 2 Golf Courses - it is truly wonderful place to make memories. The lodge offers something for everyone, from a cozy reading nook to the grassy lawn for outdoor games. Like all of our cottages it is smoke free and pet free. Paddle boats are available for rent to mingle with the ducks and geese on the lake. Playgrounds for the kids and best of all, mosquitoes are not a problem. Bike rentals to enjoy the miles of paved bike paths around the lake and along the creek.

It was a great spot even if it was raining! Excellent staff, flush toilets and showers too.. been nice to have a bench to put things on. Or hooks. But it was effective!

Spotlessly clean, quiet with a friendly host. Pretty little lake behind the site. Super clean shower and bath house. Easy to find. Felt very safe.

Great spot that’s in a great location to explore ALL the parks and sites black hills forest has to offer and more. The camp itself is very clean and the facilities are awesome! Best showers at a camp I’ve been to recently.
