This is the only campground resort in the Southern Black Hills with a private lake offering a unique opportunity to relax, disconnect, and enjoy life in a natural setting and guests have been enjoying it for over 100 years. We have a variety of cabins with different floor plans ranging from studio to four bedrooms. All cabins have full bathrooms and all have full kitchens except for our studio cabins. All of our sites are full hook-up with sewer, water, and electric with 20, 30, and 50 amp services at each site. Our pull-through sites are big rig-friendly and are between 60-75 feet long. Our biggest feature is our private spring-fed lake! You can enjoy soaking in the sun, floating in the water, taking a spin around the lake in a canoe, and of course fishing!

Our back in sites are for campers 35' in length and under. We have a picnic table and a fire-pit at each of these sites. Campfires and charcoal grills are only allowed when we are not in a fire ban. These sites are a short walk to the lake and office/store. The shower house, laundry room, and playground are also close to these sites. All sites have grass and a gravel pad with full hook ups; 50 amp, 30 amp, and 20 amp electric services, sewer and water. There is only a water hydrant at every other site, which means they share water with the site next to them. All hydrants have splitters on them so everyone can hook into water. Good location for visiting Wind Cave National Park, Custer State Park, and Mammoth Site of Hot Springs. Hidden Lake is clean, quiet, and has great trails for walking our dogs. If in the area, we would stay there again.

Hidden Lake was a little slice of paradise. While we were the only ones in a tent and not an RV, people were nice and we had a blast swimming and paddle boarding on the lake. Tons of wildlife and the bathrooms were well located and clean. Amazing stay, would definitely recommend!

We loved everything about this place. Quiet, spacious and beautiful. The lake was refreshing and there were fun games for the kiddos. The showers and restrooms were a plus.

The camp has everything you need. The neighbors were all friendly and quiet at night. The lake was wonderful in the July heat. The views of the surrounding hills are amazing. Lots of good food in town, and Moccasin Hot Springs are totally worth a visit.

A lot of great memories were made here and I'm excited to come back in the future. Hidden Lake is probably the best name for this location, tucked away on a nice little pond. The RV park isn't like a normal jam packed commercial park - Hidden Lake was quite and pristine. All of the patrons were respectful and kind individuals with no issues. Some practical information - Very large spaces for full coach busses and large fifth wheels. The property is a large circle so you can always circle around. Sewage lines, electricity, and water available on most of not all spots. The lake is small but large enough to swim for the kiddos (watch for the snapping turtles!). The water is incredibly clear for a lake. They have a few canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats with life jackets that you can use as long as you sign a waiver. We fished both from the shore and on a canoe and we caught about 8-9 trout, perch, etc... all catch and release. They have a few rods they let us borrow. Worms for sale at the office. There's a shower house with bathrooms for men and a separate for women - both were very clean. Very close to downtown Hot Springs and a comfortable distance away from rapid city. Hot Springs downtown has some cool shops and restaurants worth checking out. Mammoth site is about 7 minutes away. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here. Our kids I believe will have developed some core memories here. I look forward to coming back a second time!

Hidden Lake Campground is the best kept secret. We stayed in spot 23 which is the closest to the lake. It was beautiful, and was surprised to find out that it’s also a historic area too. I miss it there. We lived our daily walks around the lake. If we come back through that area we will go out of our way to stay there again.

Check in was easy and everyone was helpful. Had a nice area for the dogs to play and swim. My son enjoyed the paddle boat and fishing on the shore. Water was so clear! Quiet at night and nice facilities.
