This is just a little triangle of land on the edge of a small town with three full camper hookups. It is a convenient semiprivate location on your way to your destination. We are located “where the Badlands Begin” 20 minutes from the Badlands National Park. We are a tiny spot, 3 campers max, most likely just one possibly two campers, with a few trees, a couple pf picnic tables and a firepit. Kadoka is a safe, quiet, small ranching community. There is a small grocery store on main st. It is open Mon thru Sat from 9 to 6. Main street is also home to the post office, a laundromat and a flower shop. The city bar with on and off sale options is also located on main street. There is a subway and cafe ( the Sunset Grille) both located on the hwy 73 entrance to town. Kadoka has a city park with a swimming pool, covered picnic area and children's playground . The pool is open weekdays June and July. One last thing, Kadoka is a small town with volunteer fire and rescue teams. If there is a fire or car wreck, the siren will go off and continue until the volunteers arrive. It will stop, and you don’t need to do anything. It’s one of those things you get used to when you live here, but is a bit startling if you are not accustomed to it.

Site 3, on the west side closest to Hwy 73, border by a thin row of trees to the east. Full hook up. Gravel pad. Pull thru possible when it is dry. This year likely will require backing out .

Not quite urban camping.. but sort of! Semi private camping opportunity with one other site. You have all of the amenities of a small town, city pool, city park, restaurant, distillery, grocery store, and even fitness center for longer stays. Easy access from the west I 90 exit. You will be 20 minutes from the badlands national park and 35 minutes from Wall drug. This site is pull thru. There is room for 1 extra vehicle. Your nearest neighbors are my Airbb “Farmhouse” and “Bunkhouse”. This is very small western South Dakota ranching community. Usually very quiet, possibly in the fall you will hear semis hauling cattle stopping at the local truck stop, it is also possible our voluntary fire and rescue teams will be called to help. Sirens happen, not often, but they happen.

I loved staying at west end! Dawn is a fantastic host and was so hospitable. Wonderful weather and Clean site 30-40 minutes away from badlands NP. We did tent camp and the site is probably best suited for RV’s but no issues. Would recommend!

Convenient to Badlands

The Bunkhouse is very convenient to Badlands National Park. The RV spots are convenient pull throughs and an easy in/out from I90. There is also a nice green space where we walked our dogs. Not much going on in Kadoka, but there is a pretty good grocery store close by.

We loved our stay at the Bunkhouse. The host was very responsive and location was excellent for our one night travel layover. It's in town, but a small town we explorour bikes. bikes. We would stay again and may on our return back east.

Trailer hook up. Very easy and convenient access to Badlands. Got in about 0200…no problem, hooked up and went to bed. Simple setup but everything you need.

Good place to stay for a night. Electric didn’t work in our assigned site, we notified the host around 9:15 pm (just after we arrived) and never got a response. We moved sites and luckily the other one was working but if those had been occupied by other campers I would definitely have been upset. She never ended up answering us which I find odd.

Awesome setup. Extra kudos for arranging a pull through spot! All the amenities worked just fine and were quite a relief after a lot by day on the road. I also enjoyed a walk through the neighborhood and a beautiful sunset!

Wonderful stay! We had the campground to ourselves and it was quiet and peaceful, Dawn was very helpful when we need assistance with turning the water on too. We would definitely come back!

Handy spot if you want to explore the bad lands. There are three sites with water, electric and sewer access. All done rather recently and work flawlessly. The town is small and there was an aggressive dog that followed us while walking our small puppies. Note bring a stick or cane.

This site had absolutely everything available! Was located in a quaint little town. Easy access From Interstate 90. Was very clean and ready for campers when they pulled in! The host was extremely helpful. By answering all text messages immediately.
