Peace and beauty
We stayed in a camper van on Sherry’s land. It was a magical place and so worth going out of our way a bit on a long journey. Such a pleasant surprise upon entering the property. The chickens and goats and sweet dog Blue! Sherry was awesome and the whole experience was great. Stay here!

Glamping @ The Southern Bell
First time camping
This was the first time, I ever camped. Thus I really liked that the tent was ready for me on a platform with an air mattress and bedding. I had privacy and was fully surrounded by trees and it was a really good first experience for me as a solo traveler. I chose this location for several reasons. 1) It was close to highway and made a great halfway stop-over from S. Florida to NC without going to far off the HWY. 2) When I saw it was on a farm with goats and chickens, my curiosity was piqued. This was an excellent way to relax before my next stop. I stayed two nights. I enjoyed the sunset sky over the tree line.
There is an a cabin option, also. (or you can pitch your own tent!)
I enjoyed meeting Sherry, the host, and chatting with her about the farm and she gave me great suggestions for local areas to visit. There is an opportunity to get fresh eggs and honey from her. The pears were ready, so I got got some of those. I really appreciate what Sherry has done to make this property a comfortable stay.

Sherry was super friendly and accommodating! We enjoyed our stay on her small farm as well as the nearby attractions, savannah and Hilton head.

Sherry was a wonderful host and super accommodating. The outdoor shower, toilet, and sink were very nice, and the campsite was wonderful. I felt super safe and comfortable in the area and on Sherry’s property. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a comfortable stay camping overnight. Shower water was nice and hot. Our hostess was great, letting our girls feed the goats and collect eggs. We definitely would return if in the area again!

I stayed here with my 4 year old daughter in a tent while passing through SC. First and foremost, Sherry was incredibly hospitable! She taught us about her farming experience and allowed my daughter to help her feed the animals (which are fun, friendly and adorable). Her animals are very well loved and cared for. Her land is beautiful and very accommodating to our needs (thank you for an outdoor shower after all the humidity)!
The camping site was by the garden where she allowed us to sample fresh strawberries and pears. There were two fire pits and lots of chairs to relax in.
But maybe even better than all of this were the freshly laid eggs (available for purchase) from her free range chickens! I promise, I’ve never tasted a better egg! Overall, 12/10 recommend!
