We have 12 acres to share with you! Our Animal Sanctuary has been a rescue/sanctuary for over 30 years. We have plenty of different areas where you can camp either private or not so private, woods you can explore, lake within walking/biking distance, boat rental, boat dock, fishing, even help with animal care if you are interested. Plenty to do or nothing to do! Peaceful, quiet and relaxing place to enjoy! Learn more about this land: Various sites on level farm/ranch land totaling the 12 acres of our domestic animal sanctuary.  Sites located near Lake Secession.  Great fishing on the lake and boat rental available.  Quiet nights, camp fires and peaceful settings.  We are located just 15 minutes from the southern quaintness of historical Abbeville.  In under an hour you can visit the shopping and events around the growing city of beautiful Greenville, SC.   Enjoy a short day trip to the Clemson University campus area and it's surrounding attractions. We are only 40 minutes from Denver Downs Farms where there are a lot of exciting festivals and events throughout the year.  In just about 2 hours you can be in the Asheville area where you can enjoy and take in the local attractions and gorgeous mountain views.  Another short jaunt into Georgia takes you to Hartwell and it's quaint southern atmosphere near Lake Hartwell.  Additional short trips and you'll find more water, fishing, fun and sights on scenic Lake Russell and the Savannah River.  You are also welcome to hang out here on the property with us too and enjoy visiting our animals.  ASK ABOUT OUR SANCTUARY TOURS. Animal Sanctuary at the Lake
We stayed in a 33ft tt David was great helping getting in the spot and was very patient and welcoming. He helped us get level and acquainted with the spot. David's wife was amazing with our kids and the animals. Our kids had a blast feeding the animals and hearing about how she came to adopt each one. Even after the tour she invited our girls to help her feed the animals and included them in everything. There is a lake nearby and calhoun falls state park. There is a cute dog park with fencing a macaw that talks. All and all no complaints the hosts were great and they love There animals and have a real passion for what they do!

Davis was a very nice host and has a good setup. Water and power hookups and easily accessible dump station. We loved looking at the farm animals and our days floating in the lake.

I wouldn't recommend this place for tent camping. The hosts are nice, but it seems to be more geared towards RVs. Nothing much special about the limited primitive camping spots, but the animals on the property are interesting.

Felt safe. Lovely rural location. Farm animals would be of interest to kids (and adults). Might recommend a little more structure / guidance around checkin and campsite set up. I believe the site had flushing toilets .. but did not find them. Upon arrival I had a difficult time finding someone to guide me. What turned out to be another camper showed me where to park. I had only planned one night .. however, If I had planned more than that I would have left early due to the loud, inebriated camper next to me -- with little regard for personal boundary/space.

The Animal Santuary was a great stay for my family. The kids loved watching the pigs, cows, donkey and horses. We were provided with electrical hook up for our RV. There were other RV's and for reference we had about 10-15 ft between each. It worked great for our stay.

The animal sanctuary was a great weekend get away! When we first pulled up, we were a bit wary of the lack of room for tent campers, but we walked down through the woods to a clearing that was absolutely perfect. We had plenty of room and privacy while being in close enough proximity of the animals without living in the smell of them. Ms. Debi was kind enough to give us a full farm tour and she’s truly incredible! Her heart and love for these creatures does not stop giving. We were lucky enough to get to see her 7 6-week old puppy rescues which was amazing. We also loved the cows! Thanks for a great stay!

Cute little place. Our spot was nothing but red Carolina clay so tracking in was unavoidable. The septic was higher than our port so couldn’t drain either. It was way out in the middle of the country but was a very nice and quiet place to be. Seeing horses every day was nice and the stars are so beautiful without having the haze of city lights.

We absolutely LOVED this little place. Debi and David are wonderful people. They do such an amazing job saving these animals. If I could had fit the cow in my camper, I may had tried to take her home with me 🐄 💗. We will be back again for several reasons, (beautiful lake, quiet and peaceful sanctuary, And I’m already missing Foley the donkey and my cow friend). I highly recommend this place and urge any animal lovers out there to take a few nights refuge here and meet these beautiful little fur babies!

Easy in, nice level spot to park. Easy access to power and water. Very little road noise and traffic. Pleasant hosts who gave us as much privacy as we wanted. Would stay again.

This campus situated on an animal refuge sanctuary. I love animals so that was great for me. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to stay all night due to inclement weather but I did have a beautiful view of the sunset and a great campfire.

So many animals! We were NOT expecting what we saw and it was fantastic. I can't believe all of the care and time that is given to the animals. Everything from pigs to donkeys to a macaw!

We had such a great time at the farm! Debi is the kindest host and was so great with my girls, always allowing them to help care for the animals and sharing stories about each one of her rescues, she even loved on our own crazy dogs we brought with us. We were looking for a farm experience and this totally exceeded our expectations! There is only one spot with electric and water and it was perfectly positioned next to the adorable dog park Debi has put together. We spent our evenings in there next to the fire pit so that our dogs could be off leash while we enjoyed family time, it was perfect! Had we thought about it, we would have positioned our camper so the front was facing the dog park for easier access and viewing. Debi and her husband have a great vision for the farm and it’s a work in progress so for now the site we were on is rocks and dirt which gets very muddy when it rains, so I would suggest putting a tarp down and some rugs. If you’re looking for a farm experience this is it! Can’t say enough good things about these sweet animals and their sweet caretaker, and the amazing work she has done in saving so many lives!

Debi is the lovely primary animal care taker and all of those animals are loved so so much! The sanctuary goes above and beyond with toys and housing for each and every animal. It truly is heaven on earth for those animals. The staying rate super low for everything she and those animals have offer for the amount of joy that they bring to everyone who visits.

A weekend amongst the animals

This was an awesome stay! I had a nice quiet spot for my camper with water/electric and there was a place to dump waste as well. Lots of space on the property for whatever type of setup you are looking for. I got to spend some time with Debi who runs the sanctuary. She is an amazing human! She was very open to showing me around and letting me spend some time with the animals. I also had plenty of privacy and was able to do video calls and stream with wifi/cell service. I highly recommend this place whether you want to spend some time by the lake, have some quiet, or just need a place to rest passing through. I hope to return some time! Thank you! :)
