Bush camping
We had a lovely spot near a dry creek bed and we had some rain which allowed water to flow through the bed and it sounded amazing.
A perfect bush setting amongst the gum trees, emu’s and wildlife.

Shecluded Camping
Was a great spot easy to find, not far off the highway, plenty of room. Great veiws of both the Township and Flinders ranges, spectacular sunset.

Cool Country Spacious sites
Beautiful creek side camp, own fire ring and well spaced campsites and privacy. Cattle and emus roaming around. Dry drop loo a short walk away. Firewood supplied was generous. Weather was against it and the heavy rain closed the 4x4 tracks but will be back and try again..

Site 3 'bush camp'
Lovely peaceful campsite with the ranges behind and great views to the gulf. Campsites are widely spaced so you don’t see or hear anyone else. The sites are huge and each comes with a fire pit and longdrop. We stayed 3 nights and explored the local area.

Beautiful property, with plenty of wildlife. Campsites were very well separated with beautiful views down to the gulf and Port Augusta. Will definitely be back again.

Pretty spot, close to town!
This was a lovely peaceful spot. It offered such beauty but the convenience of being able to pop into the city. We were visited daily by a family of emus and the stations cattle. Fabulous sunsets each night.

Serenity
Stunning campsites with a brilliant view. Very spaced apart, quite a few campers around and couldn’t really hear or see anyone. Would definitely go back, such serenity!

Absolutely stunning. 360 degree views. Heather met us on arrival and gave us directions to our campsite. Campsites were spaced out. One other couple camping in the distance but didn’t even know they were there. Our site came with a well looked after drop toilet nearby.
Will definitely be back. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Off Grid Rustic Mountain Hut
An amazing off grid location
An amazing off grid location. If you are driving in make sure you have a decent 4WD with experience in off roading as the road in has some 30% inclines and tight bits. If you are an experienced 4WD'r then you will love the 1 hour drive in.

Peaceful long weekend
I stayed in camp 13, which was a fair distance from other campsites (which is great). It was sheltered from the wind and we had amazing views of the hills and plains. Heather is a lovely host and made the stay hassle free and very enjoyable 😊 a very peaceful way to spend a long weekend!

Incredibly stunning sites with view of the ranges, fields and port. Private and tucked away from one another. Heather is helpful and has taken great care in contributing to the charm of the sites with the pit toilets and fire pits. Would highly recommend a stay here!

We enjoyed our stay at Catninga Bush Campsites. It was a lovely campsite with lots of shade. We could make fire with wood we purchased from Heather and also had nice fresh farm eggs for breakfast. I can recommend this place to people who like off grid camping in the bush. There are toilets, which are always good to have. We were a group with four vans and the campsite was spacious enough to fit us all in, with plenty of extra space. It was a good experience.
