Leichhardt Rest
Easy access translated to directly adjacent to a road which is the only road to Bramston Beach. Had we had children with us we would have left as there was no fence.
Sadly we were also badly impacted by many, many mosquitoes.

Causeway Camp #1
Nice location but as a tenter the site had limited level areas, there were other sites more level but they would have had more road noise.

Great spot
Very nice and quiet spot, lovely and grassy.
On a bit of a slope so need your ramps.
We actually ended up on the causeway site which was a bigger than the bamboo ones.

Wet weekend in the dry season! 🤪
We had a great stay at causeway camp despite it being a very wet weekend! A very private spot with views of the rainforest and well kept paddock.

Causeway Camp #2
Beautiful Surroundings
I loved the Serenity of the Rainforest. The only sound is of the birds and rustling of the leaves. The caretaker was a really nice bloke and helped us negotiate the little causeway with our 17ft 6ins offtoad Caravan over to our spot for the night. Thanks Johanna for a wonderful experience.

Bamboo Grove 1
Our own Bamboo Forest!
We loved the location of Bamboo Grove just 5 mins from the beach and 15 mins into the town of Mirriwinni. It was a great base to explore the Babinda Boulders and Josephine Falls. The Bamboo is lovely but the land is very hilly and uneven so lots of playing with wheel chocks to get it even.

Leichhardt Rest
We were booked in to stay at Leichart Rest however when we arrived the site was very wet underfoot after a lot of rain. The site is lovely and private surrounded by trees which wasn't suitable as we rely on using solar and also close to the road although there is not a lot of traffic. The caretaker was very friendly and helpful and gave us the option to move to Top Camp 2 which was amazing. A large area, view out to the mountains and we watched from our campfire as the sun set
absolutely beautiful. Although we could see the campers on Top Camp #1 we still had a privacy. We had sun on our solar all day and would love to return and would definitely request Top Camp #2 site again. It was only a couple of minutes drive to Bramston Beach where we enjoyed a lovely walk along the beach and great coffee and hot chips from the cafe. Thank you Johanna for sharing your beautiful property, we thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights.

Bamboo 1 was a lovely area to camp & when the sun came out and the mist went away you could see the wonderful mountains in the area.

Great spot but nearly ended badly
Overall we had a great stay for the second time with property looking great and well kept. How ever be careful with your furry friends as a pit bull / pigging dog from the looks nearly attacked myself and partner and our very small dog which was on a lead. The owner of the dog I’m guessing living at the back of the property then called the dog back.

I loved camping here, it was a nature filled experience not too far from reality. Close to the beach and fishing. Got a visit from a cassowary! Enjoyed having our own little space since my family can be noisy! Would 110% recommend!

A nice, grassy spot with mountain views. Convenient for day trips to the Atherton Tablelands. Bring plenty of insect repellent for the mozzies!

Causeway Camp #1
Quiet, dogs welcome and friendly ow
Shade and sun. Best of both. It was quiet and I had the space to myself. The other two sites were unoccupied but far enough away that if they were, I wouldn't mind. I met the owner who was lovely. We will be making thus our new spot. Very happy 😊

Beautiful environment and the site had been freshly mowed. The mosquitoes were relentless and severely impacted our stay.

Lovely but a lot of mozzies!
It was a lovely looking site but we got swarmed by mosquitos and had to leave straight away! I think it was just because the time of year and the fact that the site is right next to the rainforest.

Great location, nicely mowed open area,
A little hilly but manageable,
Perfect escape for us and our 4 month old baby however a shame that other campers did not abide by the 10pm noise restrictions and were noisy until 3 am.
No midgies at all, would definitely stay again!

Good value for money, would have been nice if the creek had of been a bit deeper as there was nowhere to cool off, & not much firewood for the night time chill, but cheep enough & well maintained.

Awesome place and host!
Really nice location just 2 minutes from the beach. Everyone has a massive site all to themselves which was great. Jo the host is so lovely and helpful. She brought a fire pit to us to use plus she directed us to where we could find firewood. Our site was elevated and took a bit of levelling of the van but other than that, it was perfect! We have a big 22’6 off road van which we got in and out no problems. Highly recommend this place and the host! 👍 Chris
