Seehorse Meadows
Flat, level spot. However our stay was disappointing.
We waited at the gate for 40mins with no answer, and host did not even check in with us over our 3 night stay.
The dam is very murky and dank, and smells stagnant, not big enough to bring a kayak for a paddle. Would not swim in the dam - it's definitely not hygienic. Bottom is slimy.
There were no firepits available.
The 3 dogs were NOT friendly, and repeatedly came into our camp - sometimes barking very aggressively. We had to try shoo them away on a number of occasions.
There are other comments about dogs on neighbouring properties barking all night - and that was the case - but that's their job, that wasn't an issue for us. Another group nearby who ended up in a drunken punch up and screaming match at 4am after playing very loud bush doof ALL night - nothing was done to stop it (not like it couldn't be heard from a lengthy distance away).
Unfortunately not worth the price per night per site, definitely not when it's a self sufficient stay.

Camping with horses, dogs & pigs
We spent 3 nights over the new year period here in our campervan, right on the dam, caught yabbies and fish and even a turtle, dogs loved it too and the teenage boys, Michaela was the best host we have ever come across, and so accommodating, so down to earth, she put on a small do for new year countdown that we will always remember, I was in my element having horses come up to the camp site and so friendly, I highly recommend Seehorse Meadows and can't wait to go back. THANKYOU Michaela for a memorable new year's escape

Camping with family
We stayed 3 days. It was a lovely stay by one of the dams. We loved seeing the horses each day and visiting with the pigs when they were around.
We loved walking the acreage and exploring.
It was a beautiful place for our family.
The host, Michaela was lovely, she invited us to feed the pigs and provided thoughtful things to make our stay even better.
Thank you!

Very peaceful atmosphere. Loved being able to camp right on the dam. Appreciated Michaela separating the naughty horse into another paddock!😆 Nice flat sites. Loved that our dog could swim in the dam and play.

Good but some issues
Would definitely recommend this spot as it’s close to the city and really beautiful to be by the small fresh water dam. However as a previous reviewer said there are 5 dogs that roam free around the property. When we arrived at the entrance the dogs we jumping up on my car and have scratched it pretty significantly. Additionally if you have anxiety around letting your dogs around other dogs I probably would recommend. As I said already the dogs roam free on the property and are not separate from your camp location. Additionally dogs could be heard barking from 3 different directions for hours on end which interrupted the tranquility of the spot for sure. Overall a good stay but the dogs jumping on my car ruined it for me.

Two great nights in tents at Seehorse Meadows. Camped in the back paddock behind the dam and was very peaceful. Horses came to visit during the first night - make sure you put all your gear and food away. Thank you.

Camp with Horses - so good!
Typical of us decided to still go camping in a monsoon, we were luvky enough to have Michaela welcome us onto her property during it and muddy it up a bit - was it worth it? 100000% yes!! I loved that we had horses free roaming and super friendly, listening to them galloping in the paddocks nearby was amazing. Huge huge property, could have been 30 others camped and wouldnt hear them. Great little place to stay if you want some alone time.

Lovely quiet property. Flat paddocks for camping with enough space to spread out between sites. Room on road for 24ft van to turn into gate.

Beautiful spot. We stay just a few nights and it was great. They have a few spots near the dams and some isolated one away from everyone in the bush. We loved the farm animals even when one of the pigs got a bit cheeky but the caretakers where great with taking him away. Dam was a great temperature and nice and shallow for the kids.

Was a lovely place exactly as advertised in the photos and description. One of the ladies there did animal feeding in the afternoon with my young son, and that was the highlight for us. Hosts were friendly and accommodating, and it wasn't busy.

Camping at its best
Seahorse Meadows is a great place for a private getaway. Our site was well away from anywhere that we felt we had the property to ourselves. Under the stars at night and exploring during the day, where you can wander among the horses. Michaela is a great host. Accessible if you need, but leaves you to enjoy your stay in peace. There is plenty of natural firewood lying around for you to collect. Felt safe and secure about leaving our stuff around while we weren't near our site.
Would definitely recommend for when you just want to disconnect or if you want to meet up with mates, because you have the space and no curfew to make a bit of noise.
The only recommendation would be to make sure you put your garbage away at night as the horses do like to visit.
Would definit

Good little spot close to home! Seeing the animals were a delight except for one horse. You could tell he was the leader of the pack - very cheeky! There’s a dam to swim in which was great! The host was great to chat to and we had a laugh. We really enjoyed our stay and thank the host for a nice campsites
