Rubern Lagoon offers a peaceful and spacious camping experience, perfect for families and pet owners. The campgrounds are well-maintained with clean amenities and friendly hosts who make guests feel at home. While most visitors praise the serene environment and ample facilities such as camp kitchens and canoes, some mention concerns about the lagoon's water quality and occasional host interactions. Overall, it's a favored spot for those looking to relax and enjoy nature with the convenience of being close to town.
Fantastic place for a short or long stay and so close to town. The hosts were very informative and helpful. Great camp kitchen and amenities. Can't fault it.
Could not fault our weekend stay at Rubern Lagoon. Clean amenities and hot shower. Beautiful, peaceful and tidy spot. Had the whole bush camp side to ourselves. The only downside…we had to leave. Will definitely be back for a longer stay.
An absolute hidden gem for weary travellers .. nice quiet clean facilities and hot showers and friendly hosts .. I would not hesitate on staying here again on my travels .
Was an awesome stay nice and quiet and people very friendly exactly what you’re looking for. Facilities on point aswell no expense spared. we got there just on 6pm and that still greeted us with high energy and passion for there property! Would highly recommend.
We loved camping at Rueben's Lagoon. It was a beautiful spacious camp ground. There are many powered sites, very easy drive through parking & can accommodate large rigs with ease. We opted for unpowered this time & had pretty much a whole hectare to ourselves. Amenities were clean & tidy with hot showers any time. Our 2 dogs enjoyed the stay as much as we did. There are lots of canoes & paddle boats for guests to enjoy on the lake & campfires available with firewood for sale.
Highly recommended.
Only stayed one night and booked last minute, however the camp grounds were very well maintained and the amenities were so clean. Thanks for a comfortable night’s stay.
We recently stayed at this Rubern Lagoons and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is fantastic—peaceful and perfectly situated for exploring the surrounding area. The amenities were clean and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Also a short drive to a small town should you need a top up of some supplies :-)
What really stood out was how kid-friendly the environment was. There were plenty of activities to keep the children entertained, and the overall atmosphere was safe and welcoming for families. It’s clear the site is thoughtfully run with families in mind.
Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly camping experience!
We had a large powered site in front of the lagoon, perfect spot to watch the grandkids in the canoes or kayaks that were free to use. Only a few minutes drive into town. Great camp kitchen to use. You could have a fire and there was firewood available. Good bathrooms available that were clean. Would definitely go again!!😀
We had an absolutely incredible stay at Rubern Lagoons! The campground is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly maintained. The natural surroundings made it easy to relax and unwind, and the facilities were spotless.
The real highlight, though, was the hosts. They were so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely passionate about making sure everyone had a great experience. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
We can’t wait to come back and would recommend Rubern Lagoons to anyone looking for a perfect country getaway. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!
Wasn’t greeted very well. Very rude actually. Host needs to improve with people skills that’s for sure. Host also abused children whilst I was standing there watching them. This was very uncalled for and certainly other ways to approach a situation if they weren’t happy about what children were doing although sign says use at own risk. The lagoons were disgustingly full of weed and very dirty. Needs some sort of pump to circulate the water. Toilets and showers were clean. I won’t recommend to anyone and will let loads of people on social media never to use here due to the rudeness we received.
A great camping spot for families. Nice big drive through spots with individual fire pits and pets allowed. Clean bathrooms with hot showers and good water pressure!
Paddle boats for the lagoon and kids playground are getting a bit run down but nice flat open spaces for kids to ride bikes and run around.
Ruberns Lagoon is such a well organised beautiful spot for camping, caravans or motorhomes. A gorgeous lake with decking right on the lake to sit and watch the sunset with an afternoon bevy! Free canoes are great fun to test out your skills on the water as well!
Amenities are very well maintained with complimentary bath mats and a free washing machine for your use! The first time we stayed we kept adding a night as it was so relaxing and this time a year later we could have done the same! Highly recommended!!!
A quiet spacious camp site. Good facilities, close to town if needed. We had two families - 4A5C and 2 small dogs - and we all loved this spot.
Kids (16, 14, 13 & 12) loved the canoes, paddle boats etc provided at the lagoon. Lagoon had a bit of weed but it didn’t bother our kids they still swam in it.
Fire pits (free) and fire wood available to purchase was great.
Lots of nice extra’s (fry pans, microwave, ovens, fridges, big screen tv, etc) in camp kitchen.
And free washing machine and dryer for powered sites (a small fee I think for unpowered sites).
There is also herb and vegetable gardens which you can use. We grabbed some rosemary & chillies :-)
My only feedback was both back toilets ran out of toilet paper and weren’t cleaned during our 4 day stay - but this was a minor concern for us as we had brought our own;
We stopped overnight on our way to Carnarvon Gorge. Kids loved the lake and paddle boats. We loved the drive through site and amenities. Would recommend to anyone travelling through.
Beautiful little area. Very clean and tidy. We love a drive through site. We booked and arrive quite late in the evening and still had amazing communication and were very welcomed on arrival.
Beautiful spot! The kids had a ball. We found it lovely and quiet and relaxing.
Clean amenities - huge, drive through sites and a fire - what more do you want?? Perfection in the country
Camp-site was really nice, great amenities and camp kitchen. Donna was really helpful/responsive to messages. We ended up arriving way later than we thought we would and it was no problem.
Great location
Donna has done an amazing job with her property
The facilities are wonderful - I didn’t expect to find a fridge/microwaves and bbqs
Excellent
Would definitely stay here again. Hosts were very welcoming. Large sites with plenty of room at very reasonable costs for a powered site with water hookup. Very clean showers and toilets. Lots of shade areas. Only downside was not being able to swim in the lagoon due to the weed. Kids had fun on the boats but would have liked to cool off in the hot temps. Otherwise, perfect stay :)
