Resolute Stay: The Lookout
We had a lovely time camping at The Lookout at Resolute Nature Reserve. John and Barbara were welcoming and helpful hosts. Their property is just beautiful, and our camp spot was as peaceful as it comes, with absolute privacy and spectacular views! We really enjoyed walking down to the water hole for a very refreshing (if brief!) swim, watching the sun set over the range each night and keeping warm in the cool evenings around a beautiful fire. We brought our dog along and he had a wonderful time too!

The lookout is a beautiful spot so peacefull the view is stunning. amazing camp-fire and seating and table amongst the trees john and Barbara have done amazing here and are wonderful people definitely recommend here what a beautiful spot

John and Barbara are pleasant and personable hosts.
The Lookout campsite is stunning. It feels secluded, the view is serene and the few additions like the wedged table and stone-ring fireplace is rustic. Dead quiet at night.
We could only stay one night; we wished for a few more.

Wow, what an incredible place! ….. Joe’s rest is a secluded spot situated on the ridge looking down the valley. It was set up with our own fire pit and campfire cooking plate. We enjoyed exploring the terrain, hiking, and exploring waterholes. We woke to horses outside our camper. Such a picturesque place to relax and enjoy nature.
John and Barbara - thank you for your hospitality and sharing this piece of paradise with us. We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Resolute Nature Reserve! This was our second stay on the property, and although we booked the Joe’s rest site, John and Barbara offered for us to try the Lookout. Both sites are incredible. The untouched beauty of this place is unreal, and the waterholes are stunning; crystal clear when we’ve been there. This property is seriously rare - it’s so hard to find campsites with such special views that are also truly private. Each site is a long distance from both the main house and each other - you can’t see or hear a peep. The campsites are well laid out, and the little touches, like the fire pit, campfire cooking tripod + little pot, log bench seats and bin, all make the site super comfortable without taking away that feeling of true remote bush camping. John and Barbara are so lovely, and very knowledgeable and helpful. We will no doubt be back time and time again!

Wow - what an absolute gem of a spot! Nestled on top of a fully/ridge the views were breathtaking. The site was extremely private and large and was set up so well, we had a fire and cooked s'mores. The walk to the swimming hole is worth the steepness and it was so refreshing and great to spend a few hours. We took our two dogs who loved to float around the site

What an amazing place. John and Barbara were great they greeted us when we got there (they have a very cool map of the property by their house) then John showed us up to Joe’s Rest.
The camp spot and views were stunning, when the sunset and we had the fire going we were visited by some horses, and the next day we got to see an eagle it was incredible
We will definitely be going back such a great place

We could recommend this spot any higher. It was incredible. Plenty of room, amazing views & peace & tranquility. The walk to the big water hole is definitely worth the uphill trek back to the camp site. Our dogs had a ball as well. John & Barbara were terrific, & took time to explain the property & its nature. We will be back!

Stayed at Resolute for a long weekend 10-12 Aug and can’t recommend it enough! Absolute stunning part of the word and loved every minute of it. Stayed up on the ridge with spectacular views! Walked down to the creek which is spectacular and blue (can’t wait to come back during the warmer months)! John and Barbara are lovely and very welcoming.

Resolute Stay: The Lookout
Amazing private site with everything we were after in an escape from the city. Great views to watch the sunset, had a nice walk to the creek nearby and our dog enjoyed sitting with us by the fire. John welcomed us on arrival, showed us what we needed to know but was also had a relaxed attitude and stayed out of our way once we had settled in. Will be back.
