Although this camp is one of one making it secluded, it was really unpleasant to arrive and find the fire pit full of rubbish (kfc and hungry jacks wrappers, cosmetic lipstick and kids glow sticks.) Also the grass and area had not been attended too in a long time. I understand it's the wet season but it was in a state of disbelief. Not a happy camper. Glad I only stayed one night.

Booked a spur of the moment night away camping with my dog and really glad I did. Nice walks to explore along the creeks, and the private dam was full and a great place to relax and switch off a bit with minimal mobile reception. Recommend checking out the lookout as well.

Feels a million miles away from the cares of the world, but conveniently close to Sarina and Mackay if needed. Was good to have a single site camp to ourselves. Is in a rural lifestyle area, so heard mowers and dogs barking in the distance, but no real concern. Is a good spot if birding is your thing as there is a variety of habitats, increasing the variety of birds seen and heard.

Beautiful camp spot, so many areas and tracks to go to very easy and clear where to go with hipcamp signs up, host was amazing greeted us straight away and informed us of all the areas and activities, the look out was amazing nice anf easy little 4WD track to get to it but a good look over the land, i would recomend checking it out,

The campsite itself was good because it was completely private and didn’t have to worry about others being around. Especially with the dogs. Great location. Very very dry this time of year so the bush walks and hiking aren’t much to see as the gully is bone dry, and middle creek dam is quite dirty, but otherwise a great stay and recommend to all :)

Great spot. I love that it is a single camp site and we could be there on our own. Just what we needed and close to home for us. It was very dry this visit (it is the driest time of year here) but it is only a short drive or easy walk to Middle Creek Dam which was a fantastic spot to go for a SUP, have some fun with the dogs and relax. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved this spot! Our 19ft van fit easily, and the site felt private and peaceful. Even in the dry season it was beautiful, with lovely walks nearby. Middle Creek Dam is only 500m away and very picturesque, perfect for enjoying our SUP. We will definitely be back!

The camp site was very private which we loved. There’s a nice walking track, and although the creek was dried up, it made for some good exploring for the kids. You can take a short drive down to the public toilets at the Dam.
Marcus is a very friendly host and gave us some good tips to enjoy the weekend. It is very hot so just be sure to have an awning or gazebo for some shade during the day. Overall we enjoyed it and had a nice time here.

Very tight to get in with a 19ft van
Pity the creek and dam had no water
We still did the gully walk which was lovely but the south gully was a bit overgrown
Ended up being a fair trek in for just one night

Secluded spot that you have all to yourself. Beautiful walks. No light pollution so all the stars were out!! Actual camp spot is small with very limited turn around area. We were just able to 3 point turn our caravan around in there. If not, we would have had to reverse it out. Probably suit camper trailer size. Other than a few vehicles driving in the area, you would think you were alone in the world. Very relaxing!!

We camped here last night for our anniversary. It felt very secluded which was a big bonus for us. We went along the walking track to the big fig tree which I found absolutely amazing. We will definitely be back with our children for a visit next time. You own a very beautiful part of Australia.

Thanks for the stay! This was such a gorgeous little piece of paradise. You can tell that the host takes a lot of pride in his property - he talks about the place with such passion and puts a lot of time and effort into all the facilities e.g. there’s kayaks and picnic tables at the dam, signed bush walks through the gully and a beautiful look out. We will definitely be back and I recommend to everyone. Thanks again ☺️

Private little clearing with your own personal walking tracks, waterfalls & rock pools to explore. Clearing was just large enough to loop around in my van, pre dug firepit perfectly placed to set up around. Other reviews accurate on the rubbish unfortunately, some rubbish left behind in the firepit attracted a swarm of flies but easily dealt with.

This camp site was a nice little getaway for myself and 2 boys. We had fun at Middle Creek Dam which is only a couple of minutes drive away, and at the small swimming hole on the property and with the kayaks. There is little shade on the camp ground so bringing something to sit under would be ideal.

This campsite was private and well kept! Loved that there was an established fireplace. It was a hit right getting out Ute & caravan in there but we managed.
Unfortunately there was no water in the creek and the damn although had water we didn’t really go swimming in it especially with our young one. Dogs jumped right in though.
You can also hear every car/boat & people talking from the public dam but tends to quiet down as night falls. We didn’t meet Marcus but he was very responsive.

It’s so peaceful. And the country is just stunning. Even though it’s the dry season and no water running through the creeks, the big dam was a very short drive and the water was excellent temperature for swimming. Our dogs thought they were in heaven. The bush walks are great, wear good hiking shoes and take advantage of the walking sticks Marcus supplies. Excellent place excellent host. 10/10 from us.

Previous campers have left the site in a poor state with food, human, and animal waste laying in the immediate camping area. Down in the walkways toilet tissue and wet wipes in plain view. Super disappointing for what could be a lovely area.

Wish we had known that the private dam was dried up. Yes, there is another dam further down the road a few minutes drive, which was lovely to swim in. Upon arrival we first had to clean up rubbish around the camp from the previous campers, as well as all their plastic and bottles thrown into the fire pit. Seems to have been there for some time.
Waterfall and rock pools all dried up. If this is what you are hoping to see, rather wait until they are flowing. The hike was lovely. Walking sticks available for those who need it. Fig tree was beautiful to look at. Evenings are noisy with all the houses around the property i.e you can hear barking dogs and loud music most of the night until early hours. If this is something that doesn't bother you, then you will be fine.
The look out was a beautiful site. View of the Middle Creek dam and homes around the dam. Firepit available too that you can use.
