Lovely place
Absolutely loved staying on Steve and Donna's property, they were very welcoming and even showed us a few different spots to camp at so that the kids could have a swim 😁 We will definitely be back again, and we would highly recommend other people to stay as well!! Thank you for the great time guys!! 🙂

The best first camp
This was the first time camping by myself, no parents or guardian to tell me what to do and what not to do. Steven and Donna though were perfect, they offered anything to help like wood for fire and if we need help to start it, or if the cows started eating your swag to lead them away, both Steven and Donna are awesome and they offer services other places don't offer. They are so kind and friendly that it would be a mistake not to stay here if you are passing by it.

Another great stay
This was our third stay with Steve and Donna and it was another great experience. Peaceful, relaxed and friendly would be the best way to describe it. Plenty of places to set up and we stayed in our third different area. We were with a group of friends and there was plenty of space to spread out so we weren't on top of each other.

The triangle
Had an amazing week at Arnold's! Donna & Steve were the ultimate hosts, very friendly & welcoming...as if long lost friends. We had a great spot near the creek & dam & were visited daily by the free roaming cattle. We gladextended our trip to include New Years Eve & we're treated to some live entertainment & a couple of bonfires. We will definitely plan on returning again & again!

Peaceful beautiful farm stay.
BRILLIANT!!! Loved the place, the hosts, and Max the dog. So peaceful, Just the sound of camp fire and crickets. Breakfast with a curious calf or two was a highlite. Can't wait to go back especially as its 1 nil to the fish. Look out next time though 😁

Space
Privacy is certainly not an issue here. Camp away from the crowd near the dam or in further away from the road. It is your choice & the hosts are very welcoming. Was very dry on our visit but lots of birds & it was pleasant watching the cattle. No amenities, so self contained only. Plenty of fire wood should you want a camp fire.

Away from it all
Steve and Donna were the perfect hosts, welcoming us to their property and offering us any assistance we required. Their picturesque cattle property offered many campsite options, all well spaced and bordered by bushland and walking trails. We were the only campers (shared with some placid doe-eyed Brahman cattle) but there is so much space additional numbers would barely have been visible. Complete with unlimited free firewood, this is the ideal getaway, back to nature but just a short drive from Childers.

Great place to unwind
I'd like to say don't go there but that would be selfish. We haven't been Hipcampers for long but if there are friendlier hosts than Steven and Donna I'd like to meet them. Plenty of space if there are other camps. We walked around the property and found some areas we can come back with a small group. Steven and Donna we really enjoyed our visit and loved your place Paul and Fiona

A quick getaway
Very relaxing time overlooking the dam. The cane trucks running through the night were a distraction. Steve and Donna were excellent hosts.

Conveniently located on the Bruce Highway not far south of Childers, Arnold’s Camp offers huge open, flat areas to camp as close to or as far from the highway as you like on their 160+ acre property. Ten minutes to the conveniences of Childers and around 30 minutes to Woodgate Beach. Donna and Stephen are welcoming hosts and have plans to build toilet and camp kitchen facilities for their guests. In the mean time, campers must be self sufficient. It was a pleasure to stay at Arnold’s Camp and we will visit again.

Perfect peaceful bush camp
Fabulous So pleased that we found this gem It was perfect for us. We were looking for a quiet place in the bush all to ourselves and this fitted the bill perfectly. We were on our way back from a holiday up north and wanted to break our journey for a few days, somewhere close to the Wide Bay region, where we could explore the region, which we did. We drove through Wongi Forest and explored the Waterholes and Lenthall Dam, and drove all along the coastline from Burrum Heads to River Heads. Steven and Donna are the nicest friendly people, great hosts. They allowed us to chose where on the property we would like to camp. We have an off road fully contained van, so we chose somewhere that had full sun so that we could charge the batteries with solar panels. We awoke every morning to the sound of birds with a bush vista. We went for a morning bush walk around the property. I hope more like minded people give this place a go Definitely 'Far from the Madding Crowd', that we came across a lot of on our journey, if that is what you like.

Fantastic camping spot for all ages
Best Hipcamp by far. Donna and Steve were so hospitable. Awesome friendly couple. Variety of spots to choose from. Wide open areas. Great for kids to run and ride bikes. Close enough to shops if needed but still feels like you’ve got no one around. Friendly cows and calves came for a visit. Great being able to cook on an open fire. We all had a fantastic time. Thanks again Donna and Steve.
