GEM discovery. Scenic Rim
We loved our weekend away at GEM. You can tell that Sue loves and takes pride in her hidden space and we appreciate that she shares it with others to visit and stay. Would highly recommend, Sues a wonderful host. We love that you don’t share the campsite with anyone else other than your group. Recommend taking a few inflatable floats for the kids, they spent the whole time in the water! Couldn’t recommend the stay more.

We normally like to try a different place every trip but after staying at Dayspring last year we couldn’t wait to come back. Such an idyllic place to escape to for a few days. Has become my favourite campsite. Thanks Sue for sharing your property with us.

Magic Spot
This spot was magic. Love having it all to yourself and the place was well maintained and Sue was so lovely we will be back. The flowing water right at your door step was great. Nice and quiet. Sue even set up hammocks and decorated a tree for Christmas 🎄

Private slice of paradise!
Absolutely beautiful spot! The sounds of the running creek, birds and frogs was amazing! Very neat and tidy with a nice fire pit. We met Sue at the entry on arrival, she showed us to our spot and made sure that we had everything that we needed and even came down to check on us and see if we needed anything during our stay. She was absolutely lovely and even helped us out when we made the mistake of leaving our firewood in the rain. Plenty of space to stretch out and for the kids to run around, swim in the swimming hole, kick a ball etc. without having to worry about sharing space (or annoying) other campers. Would definitely recommend this spot, we will be back again soon! Thanks Sue!

Far Better Than The Photos!
The size of the camping spot, the privacy, the gorgeous running water and swimming hole. My partner and I needed a relaxing weekend away from our busy lives. Sue’s gorgeous location exceeded our expectations. We would highly recommend it for a group or private get away. Sue’s attention to detail was outstanding. She clearly loves and cares for her gorgeous property and it’s a privilege to be able to experience it.

My second stay at this Hipcamp. It’s a large picture perfect site beside the river. Huge fire pit, comfy chairs and a couple of hammocks. So peaceful yet so close to Brisbane. Our host Sue was lovely and I can’t wait to go back again.

AMAZING!! in awe it was such an awesome spot for privacy. We didnt hear or see anyone for 2.5days. Amazing we are coming back again! Sue supplied 2 hammocks for us and chairs and it made the experience all the better

Best camping spot
This spot has become a regular for my family. Camping at its best. The creek at your doorstep for cooling off, rafting and fishing. Sue the host is just beautiful and always has the site prepared with a smile.

Privacy Dayspring site
Hi Sue, thank you fir sharing your property with us. We enjoyed every minute. The well maintained grass, firewood, tinder and newspaper for our easy use, fresh flowers on the bench and the freshly washed hammocks. The rivet and birdlife was absolutely amazing. We saw no people, no noise but the river running, quiet and peaceful. This place is absolutely worth every penny👌👌

Loved it
This has been our favourite campsite to date. It’s not without its challenges but they are worth it. It’s close to town (shops) for supplies and yet so private and secluded. The creek was very fast flowing (not suitable for young kids) but that was because we had so much rain in the region. We had concerns at one point of flooding and Sue was awesome giving her advice and in the end the river only rose about 40cm. The wind can be extremely strong but ultimately this is a superb campsite!

Amazing Place - Recommended to All
GEM is a Gem for real. Sue was great and very inviting.
The place is magical. Rapids and Crystal Clear water, even after flooding, amazing place to have a dip in and take the family. Be a little cautious if kayaking as the current is strong.
The wildlife is wonderful, you may even spot a wedgetail eagle. Shooting stars also very common. Only issue may be exiting the spot after heavy rain, but a good 4wd should have no issues.
Re Fishing. For those wondering if there is fish. We had no luck catching any fish, but carp and other large fish were spotted.

Relaxing with friends
Hosts Sue and Bruce have created a beautiful private space with special touches on the banks of the Albert River. The site has plenty of flat area to setup vans and has seating provided for ten people around the top campfire. Such a relaxed setting with the sound of the flowing river in the background. Would not hesitate to recommend it. Sue was a great host.

We had the most amazing weekend at Dayspring! It is our new favourite campsite! It was so nice and relaxing falling asleep to the sound of the running creek. The deep section of the creek was perfect for cooling off during the day too. Sue was a lovely host and made sure our stay was the best it could possibly be.

WOW! This is - by far - the best hipcamp we have ever been lucky enough to experience!
Sue, her husband and their doggie are ansolutely incredible! Going above and beyond to make our weekend perfect - THANK YOU! This land is breath taking and the swimming hole was the cherry on top as the water is LUSH - we will definitely stay again and reccommend it to anyone in the area! Brilliant little camp site
Sue is a fantastic host. The campsite is clean, well maintained and the extra touches were very nice. Firewood is excellent quality. The mulberry tree was fruiting nicely and the kids had a blast picking and eating. The mown grassy area was flat enough for the kids to ride their bikes and kick the ball around. A really nice quiet campsite, we’ll be back for sure.

An extremely tranquil setting
Absoutly Fantastic. Wonderful Host Sue made us feel extremly welcome, an extremely tranquil property right on the banks of a lovely flowing creek. We absoutly loved falling asleep to the sound of the creek and watching the stars at night.
Would be great for a group booking plenty of flat usable space and a great communal firepit area. We will defiantly be back.
