Great beachfront camp site
We've been travelling for a while and this is one of favourite HipCamps so far. Such a great camp! We started each morning with a walk along the beautiful calm beach that the camp site backs right onto. Feels like a private beach as there no public walkways onto the beach for a few hundred metres either side of the camp site. Some kayaks are provided. Plenty of space for each camp site. Well marked and the caretaker (Tom) was always around to assist. Really friendly and helpful. There's a camp kitchen with cooking facilities, water, power and a TV. There is a BMX track with jumps for the kids. Very family friendly. Lots of water taps available and even a dump point. They are currently building toilet facilities so this site is only going to get better. You can see that they have great plans to continue to improve this place. Even the sites that aren't directly on the beach aren't really that far away from the water. Even though you have plenty of space, a really nice friendly communal vibe amongst campers. Given it's proximity to the water it can get pretty windy. Pretty sandy soil so a decent awning mat would help. Only a 5 min drive into Burrum Heads township... which is a cute little town with a supermarket, post office etc. All in all.... a great site!

Can’t wait to go back.
I loved this camp, it was clean, grassed & a beautiful beach. Michael was very kind & we were moved up closer to sites 5&6, so only 50m to the beach, we were not on site 44. Will definitely go back to this one. Can be windy so keep an eye out for the weather.
