Valhalla is only 25 minutes away from downtown Montreal - a great weekend escape. About the property: We’re a working cooperative permaculture farm. We are a community of friendly, welcoming individuals working on growing crops organically. If you’d like to join in during your stay, we’re always looking for helping hands and would be happy to share our knowledge and some fresh, organic meals with you in exchange. About the listing: We have two campsites that can accommodate up to four guests at a time. Come and pitch your tent and enjoy some simple campaign amenities like an outdoor kitchen with some basics, a composting toilet, and garbage and recycling bins. Spend your days learning about permaculture or check out nearby popular destinations like Chambly. We have plenty of recommendations of things to do, just ask! Valhalla is fabulous! Great place to camp near Montreal with cool tent sites, friendly hosts, delicious fresh vegetables & eggs for breakfast, and - at least when we were there - adorable puppies!

Great spot to set up a tent for some camping! Very nice hosts; beautiful and peaceful spot. Close to Montreal as well. Wished we could have stayed a few more nights. Meeting their puppies was a bonus!

it is not a camp ground. it is garbage collect place. no drinking water, no shower booth, no water with old style toilets , big dog's poop 💩 on the yard. stinky smells everywhere .... the worst experience. I booked 2 nights, but I escaped early next morning.. I'm so sorry to say this..

Country life so close to the city

What a cool, multi-faceted place. Olivier and the other folks at Valhalla were kind and welcoming. The kitchen facilities were great, covered eating and hang out space a huge plus, and tent spot was very comfortable. It rained a bunch the one night we were there and Olivier made sure to check in with us to makes sure we weren’t getting rained out in the tent. He had contingency plans in case we were. I would definitely recommend Valhalla to anyone wanting to stay close to but not in the city, or to anyone interested in learning more about permaculture.

Valhalla was a welcoming and enjoyable place to spend the night. Although I wasn't there too long, Oliver and the others at the compound were very accommodating. I'd be happy to visit them again.

Awesome place. Awesome people. They're putting a lot of effort for making that place prone to good exchanges and relaxing time. Everyone is also welcome to participate in the community while they're there, but no need to do so. Already recommended to some friends.

Free wifi, friendly host. Camping with animal is ok. The kitchen was great, I brought my own camping oven but I don't need to use my own oven. Friendly dogs and cats welcome us. Nice night led light round the sites giving us a unique atmosphere. We will be back !

Devine living

Valhalla was a dream! It was so easy to get caught up in the beauty and magic all around you. The feeling of community is strong even when you're an outsider and all their projects are so very inspiring. Olivier (sorry we said your name wrong the whole time!), was beyond warm and welcoming. His calm and blissful energy really added to the experience! Thanks for the great stay y'all! We will be back!!

Had a great time tent camping. Everyone was extremely nice and gave great suggestions on what to do around the area. It was a great camping experience and I would definitely come back. The kitchen was useful and the camp provided a unique and fun experience.

Valhalla is a little bit magical!

With so many lovely people, a well-supplied outdoor kitchen, fresh coffee, eggs and mushrooms for sale, and friendly dogs everywhere, it is a really lovely place to camp. Firewood and kindling was already set up to go, and folks who live there lent us essentials like olive oil when we wanted to cook their yummy mushrooms! There are beautiful swinging hammock seats and so many great permaculture projects going on. A fantastic place to camp and visit.

Unique and fun camping spot!

This is a funky and cool spot to spend a night. All of the folks at ValHalla were helpful and welcoming, and went out of their way to help us find a good spot and provide water/firewood/space. The site is unique and very fun, I would have loved to have more time to explore the campus. In the morning we were offered coffee and tea, and they everyone was very friendly. The spot was pretty quiet and dry, with lots of room elsewhere for camping. I highly recommend a night here!

Community Farm Camping

On Valhalla Farm you are treated like family. When we first met our hosts, they gave us free organic coffee and tea, warming us up in the freezing weather. We camped in our car because of the cold, and they brought us a space heater to help us keep warm, as well as selling us farm eggs and giving us free fruits and vegetables. Each member of the farm got to know us and were very accommodating. They plan to make their place into a larger-scale community/commune. They also have a compost toilet on site.

Valhalla is an incredible spot filled with wildly kind and warm folks. Olivier is an awesome host and shared wood and farm foods with us. I’d recommend this spot to anyone looking for community, kind folks, peaceful spot to camp. We’ll be back!

Friendly co-op farm in nature!

Amazing place. The farm is a cooperative with very friendly and interesting people living and working there. Olivier is a real gentleman and was extremely kind and helpful. We enjoyed our first visit so much, we changed our plans to come back two weeks later! It is a great spot and feels very isolated and in nature, even though it is really easy to get to from Montreal, less than 30 minutes drive. We loved it and are looking forward to coming back.
