This cabin has been in my family for over 40 years, and we love to share it's charm with the world! Sleep like a log in our one-room charming cabin on a small private lake lot with non-motor boats only. Little Elk Lake is 43 acres. Queen bed with linens provided, plus 2 adult cots with pads and sleeping bags. Rowboat plus 1 youth kayak, two adult kayaks and a canoe are available for your use, and we have life jackets in many sizes. We are sorry but the pontoon boat cannot be used by guests. The fishing is EXCELLENT and bring your binoculars - BALD EAGLES frequent the lake! We want you to have so much FUN during your visit, but we are not a party spot. The lake is rural and quiet, and so we must request low noise levels after 10 pm in order to keep our neighborhood HAPPY! :) We welcome everyone, including the LGBQT community and folks from all ethnicities. You'll feel like you are coming home to a safe haven and all guests will be treated with kindness and respect here at Sunset Shore! Don't waste one moment of lake time! GROCERY, PHARMACY and EVEN HOMEGOODS delivery is available. Our local large grocery chain Price Chopper, Rite Aid and Family Dollar all deliver to the cabin. The name of the app is INSTACART. NEW - a Smart TV to keep those little ones entertained on rainy days. A WIFI Hotspot is available in the add-on section of your reservation. We also have a DVD player with a few family-friendly movies. Games, coloring books and drawing paper, etc. are in the cabin. ALSO NEW - We have cold and HOT water at the kitchen sink and a large private outdoor shower/changing room. We ask guests to conserve water since we are hauling water and pumping it into a 275-gallon outdoor tank. Favorite Local Attractions: Foolish Pleasures Hot Air Balloon Rides- They "splash down" on the lake on many evenings! Elk Lake School- Indoor Swimming Pool, Tennis, Track, and Playgrounds are 5 minutes away Skyhaven Airport - Take a ride in a small plane or if you are brave - skydive! 30 minutes away Danny Crisman 9/11 Memorial Park - 5 minutes away. Local Art is AMAZING! The Artist's Open House Tour is FREE and is Columbus Day Weekend annually. Most of these art studios are open YEAR ROUND by appointment. Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake
This was our second visit to the cabin, the first being in 2020. It is peaceful and cozy and our weekend was so relaxing. There is all sorts of wildlife in the area. We saw deer, bald eagles, turkey and chipmunks! A great weekend overall!

Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake
This is our second time visiting the cabin. Everything you need is there. No frills, but if you want an experience, relaxing in the woods and being with nature, it is the perfect spot for you.! Our hosts were very generous and responsive to any needs we had. We will definitely go back next year! The Eagles on the lake are always a beautiful sight to see!

Lakefront Oasis
Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake
The cabin was small and cozy. Perfect for my fiancé and I. We brought our two cats which if your pets are adventurous I wouldn’t recommend. There were many small places for my fur babies to hide (and not in a good way.) The only negative thing I have to say is the description boasted many pots and pans which wasn’t the case. There was only one small pot and one frying pan. We had to drive almost 45 minutes one way to a Walmart to buy an electric griddle. My fiancé loved the lakefront fishing. He caught so many fish. Watching the sun rise and set over the lake was beautiful. If you’re looking for peace and quiet and don’t mind no indoor bathroom I’d highly recommend Sunset Shore Cabin

Second time booking this cabin. This is an amazing, peaceful place to stay and I will surely book again. Somehow even better than the last stay with even a few upgrades. So peaceful, quiet and cozy. The cabin is well stocked with almost everything you could think of that you may need for your stay. We packed up the dogs, two paddle boards, two totes, a cooler of food/spices, the leashes and didn’t need anything else for a four day stay! Fishing lines are prepped and ready to go. Kayaks, a canoe, and lake floats ready to take out. We were able to catch and release small mouthed bass, and pan fish. Firewood waiting for you by the pit. Bring your binoculars for the beautiful eagles and wild life all around. Plenty of close by hiking trails and waterfalls! Both of my huskies, just relaxed and enjoyed the scenery.

Best Time Ever !

This place was so amazing we instantly fell in love with the place. Very peaceful and extremely beautiful. The lake was literally the perfect touch which brought everything together. Literally the escape from reality that was much needed. Supplies were provided, all we did was bring food and clothes. Visited the blueberry festival at a nearby town about 10 minutes away which was really exciting. Plenty to do at the site and the surrounding areas. Highly recommend it was 10/10 . My partner and i will most definitely be back soon. Thank you Jennifer for providing such an amazing place. We did our best to leave the place better than we found it. Its such a treasure

The perfect cabin experience!

We LOVED our stay at this cabin! It is truly a little slice of heaven. They thought of everything we could possibly need, even provided extra pairs of flip flops! It was so beautiful and so easy, the perfect getaway to celebrate my birthday with my partner (also its so romantic!). Can’t recommend enough!

The best camping experience we ever had. One of my life pleasures is spending time at a lake. Beautiful quiet peaceful lake. Beautiful cabin. It had everything you could need besides food and clothing. I feel as if Jennifer's cabin is everyone's time away and we should all care for it as our own. Jennifer was a great host. Very responsive and she made us feel at home. Thank you Jennifer for a wonderful time. I also get the sense of people leaving items behind for others to enjoy. My family and I left a fishing rod, fishing bait and hooks, some first aid kits. We replaced the hand soap that we used up. We also left some icys for other families to enjoy. I feel as if everyone should contribute something when they leave and leave the cabin looking better than when they arrived. What a great time. What a great cabin. There also was a little river bank with rocks so when it rains the water flows and make waterfall dripping sounds. So relaxing. The only thing is when it rains it gets real muddy and slippery by the bathroom. After visiting many cabins we finally found our favorite. We will be back next year for sure. Thank you Jennifer

A very quiet and relaxing stay. Loved being right on the lake! People in the reviews are not lying about the fishing and bald eagles! It was great! A good option for someone who wants to camp with still some modern niceties like a bed, AC, and a kitchen, although we did all our camping outdoors!

What am amazing stay! My wife, two dogs and I had a fantastic time here. Nice outdoor fire pit with a good amount of wood, and such a cozy cabin. It was great having kitchen appliances onsite for those rainy days. Very comfortable bed, and very fun jumping in the lake with the dogs! We would love to come back.

The cabin was an old fashion vibe. It has everything you need. It was well stocked. And the owners were friendly. The location was great. The lake was cute. The lake is right out back. But you have to be careful because it is a step area to walk. It is private and no one bothers you. Only problem was the outdoor shower and port a potty. When it rains as it did when we went there is a lot of mud. If you fish early in the morning you will see an eagle. You will hear all kind of animals from bears to frogs and cows. But nothing bothers you. The town is very peaceful.

I loved Sarah's land. The views were nice and easy directions to get there... the only thing is that it was windy and cold and raining so we weren't able to catch any fish almost caught 3 but didn't.. don't go when it's raining it's too muddy.. we didn't even have to bring anything she had everything you need even fresh eggs waiting for you.. the place was well lit and at night just take a flashlight with you to the bathroom... Sarah's husband showed us were everything was, walmart is about 20 to 30 mins away... will definitely go again but when it's not raining and cold.... thanks for the visit

We loved this cabin! It was well-stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend by the lake. The directions were very clear and Jennifer was responsive when I contacted her. My son caught seven fish! We had smores by the campfire and hiked and pressed cider at nearby Salt Springs. It was a great weekend and we’d definitely stay again.

The scenery was wonderful and the cabin was fully equipped. Half the stuff we brought we could’ve left home. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. I would love to visit it again. oh, and the bed was so comfortable. You can’t find out in half the hotels I’ve slept in.

Beautiful Elk Lake

We love Sunset Shore on Little Elk Lake. This is our 3rd summer there and it never disappoints! The cabin has all the amenities one could ever need and the location and privacy can’t be beat! We had beautiful weather. The stars were so bright at night and we had a lovely time. They are wonderful hosts and I’m so grateful they share their beautiful property and cabin with others. Thank you Jennifer for your hospitality. We will be back next year!

I loved staying at the sunset shore cabin! The views were beautiful and the directions were clear. There were houses directly next door, but we still had plenty of privacy. My favorite part was going out on the dock each morning with my cup of coffee and seeing/hearing all the cows from the farm on the opposite side of the lake. Perfect location for couples or a small family!

Our first time here and it was even better than expected! Jenn has everything you could need. Just like it says, bring food and clothes and that’s it. Perfect for a couples get away, really romantic. The lake is so private it feels like you are the only people there. We loved waking up to see the lake from our bed. Our dog Frank had the best time on his first ever vacation. We loved the kayaks and Frank loved the row boat. He is now a boat dog! We will be back again for sure! This will become an annual vacation spot!

Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake
This property is a slice of heaven! My husband and I had the most beautiful stay with our 3 year old cockapoo Auggie. The cabin was clean, organized and had everything that we needed to for a fabulous stay! The grounds were relaxing and serene- we enjoyed coffee on the dock and read for hours, followed by fireside dinners each night. Our pup even experienced his first canoe ride- he absolutely loved it! 5 stars. We will most certainly be returning. Thank you Jennifer!

No labor on this Labor Day
Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake
We spent Labor Day weekend at the cabin and it was absolutely beautiful! While others were roasting in oppressive heat we were on the lake enjoying our time together completely unplugged with beautiful weather. We boated, swam, fished (caught largemouth bass everyday), and just simply relaxed napping on the deck by the lake in the afternoon and watching a sunset in the evening or roasting marshmallows on a campfire. It was also very special to see the Bald Eagle majestically soaring in the sky, hunting fish and resting up in his nest in the tall pine across the lake. It was just what we needed. Jennifer and Jeff were very responsive to our needs. This is our 2nd time at the cabin and it was just as lovely as it was last year. Thank you Jennifer & Jeff for sharing your enchanting cabin on the beautiful Little Elk Lake. We will be back!

Jennifer’s cabin was so peaceful & relaxing. The dock & reclining chairs by the water were one of my favorite things - and I did yoga on the dock in the morning. So serene and a perfect way to rejuvenate. Also recommend Kool Cow ice cream 15 min away!

Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake
We enjoyed our week at Jennifer's lake camp. Albeit small, the cabin was cozy & well equipped (overall). The bed & linens were great. The kitchen was good. (You might want to bring a favorite pot or skillet). It is evident that the owner's have put a lot of thought and care into the cabin & the site. The lake is beautiful and was quiet when we were there in late August. My husband enjoyed the swimming. (I stayed out only because the air was a bit cool. We spent late morning- mid-afternoon out exploring the area, so swimming happened late afternoon.) I will say, I'm still recovering from a significant knee injury and the walk to the lake & port-a-potty, while very doable, required me to move slowly & carefully. Overall, it is a very welcoming space.

Sunset Shore Cabin on Private Lake
This is a great place. The simple but pleasant cabin is just above the lake. Great swimming, fishing, and kayaking right from the dock. Lovely places to sit and watch the water. You can’t go wrong here!
