Rustic tent sites and log cabins on nearly 400 acres nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. The property has been in our family since the late 1800's, initially operating as an ochre mill. We are near the historic town of Jim Thorpe, Whitewater Rafting Adventures, Hickory Run State Park, Lehigh Gorge State Park, Tuscarora State Park, and more. ***PLEASE READ BELOW AND READ EACH SITE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BOOKING*** - Our tent sites are rustic with NO electric or running water. Cabins have electric, but no indoor plumbing. Porta-Johns are available throughout the grounds. (Some sites are closer to port-a-johns than others.) We do not provide potable water or showers for tent campers but we allow responsible use of the stream for cleaning. Cabins have a rustic outdoor shower available May-October. Most sites are 100+ yards apart, but you may hear some noise carrying from neighboring sites. Please inquire for camper vans and pop ups. - FIREWOOD: Due to the threat of invasive pests, we do not allow firewood to be transported onto the grounds. We have firewood for sale for $7 per crate. You can pick and crate your wood at the wood pile on the grounds at your convenience. Please bring cash if possible or get in touch at the end of your stay to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. -We have a variety of wildlife in the area, including BLACK BEARS. Please follow 'Leave No Trace' protocols and be mindful of trash and food throughout your stay. Keep your coolers in your vehicles and take garbage to the dumpster frequently. We have a dumpster available to you on the grounds. -Check in is contactless. Upon booking, you will receive directions to your site. **If you would like to stay for one night during the week or one night on a weekend during November-April, please get in touch and I can adjust the booking specifications. Otherwise, weekends are typically a two night minimum. Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend are a three night minimum **

The Buckhorn Cabin

The Buckhorn cabin is a rustic, single room cabin built in 2009. It sits about 100 yards from our waterfall. It has electric, but no indoor plumbing. - The cabin sleeps three guests. Three single beds. There is floor space for an air mattress or two. Tent space is available outside for additional guests who wish to tent camp. Amenities include a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. -Porta-John available outside. -Shower is only available May-October. -There is a small electric fireplace and A/C. -You will need to bring along pillows, bedding, dish-ware, utensils, everything you need for cooking, etc. There is a fire pit and picnic table outside and a cast iron crock that you can use to grill with wood or charcoal. -The cabin is vehicle accessible with a 2WD vehicle unless we have snow. You will be driving primarily on gravel roads once on our grounds. -The cabin is located in the woods and is rustic. Please keep food and pet food sealed in containers to discourage bugs, mice, and other wild life. Please reach out with any questions!

The Outback Cabin

The Outback cabin is a rustic, stream side, single room cabin built in 1941. It has electric, but no indoor plumbing. -The cabin itself will not sleep 12 guests. There is tent space outside for additional guests. Bunk bed with full size bottom/single top inside. Amenities include a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. -Porta-John available outside. -Outdoor shower available May-October only. -There is a small electric fireplace and additional space heater. No A/C. The cabin stays relatively cool in the summer, especially at night. -You will need to bring along pillows, bedding, dish-ware, utensils, everything you need for cooking, etc. There is a fire pit and picnic table outside and a cast iron crock that you can use to grill with wood or charcoal. -The cabin is vehicle accessible with a 2WD vehicle unless we have snow. The Waterfall Cabin

The Waterfall cabin is a rustic, single room cabin built in 1938. It has electric, but no indoor plumbing. The stream and waterfall are right outside your door. It is only accessible via foot bridge, recommended for sure footed guests only. You will park and cross the bridge to get to the cabin. It’s about a 30 yard walk from parking. The porta-john is located on the side of the bridge that you will park on. -The cabin sleeps three guests with a bunk bed with full bottom/single top. There is floor space for an air mattress or two. Tent space is available outside for additional guests who wish to tent camp. Amenities include a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. -Porta-John available outside across the bridge. - Shower available May-October only. -There is a small electric fireplace and additional space heater. No A/C. The cabin stays relatively cool in the summer, especially at night. -You will need to bring along pillows, bedding, dish-ware, utensils, everything you need for cooking, etc. There is a fire pit and picnic table outside with grates to cook over the fire. - The cabin is located in the woods and is rustic. What a sweet site! Tent site #1 was easy to find, right next to a peaceful falls, and had plenty of room. The host offers wood for sale on site which couldn’t have been more convenient. There are neighbors across the stream and up the site, but still felt private. I can’t wait to come back!

We loved the site, such a beautiful location and beautiful views! Site was as described, they provided a couple different grill grates, and a cute table. The owner was communicative and helpful. It rained a lot but still had an awesome time!

What a perfect little piece of Heaven. Bear View did NOT disappoint. It’s nestled deep in the woods and has the beautiful sounds of wildlife and nature (the creek). We had rain for 70% of our stay but still had a blast and will for sure be back!

Bullpine
Bullpine was beautiful! Great shaded area and sunny field. Secluded and near a stream so you could hear the sound of the water. Everything was perfect.

Casey, thank you for a wonderful camping experience. Site #4 was perfectly maintained as were the others that we looked at during a short hike. We loved how secluded we were from adjacent sites, and could not hear our neighbors who had several cars visiting. Communication with Casey was the best I've experienced. They responded to each message thoroughly, quickly, and with flexibility. So appreciated. The proximity to Jim Thorpe made for a lovely excursion. Hope to come back soon.

Loved camping under the Bullpine!

My group loved the Bullpine site! We were able to get all the way there with our cars. We set camp under the pines to protect from the forcasted rain but if wanted there was plenty of space to set up on the grassy area as well. We had enough space for two 10 person tents under the bullpines. The river was a short hike down. The fire ring and picnic table area was well set up . We loved to be tucked in at the end of the campground. It was a beautiful weekend

The Outback Cabin
The location and accommodations were great. Check in and out was seamless. An incredible spot to get away from it all and enjoy nature and some quiet.

What an absolute camping trip! I booked a camping trip for Friday night-Sunday morning. Majority of the time we were there it was pouring rain!! However, that didn’t stop us from having fun at all. We put a tarp right under the camp fire, and thankfully our sent had a SHED! So we put most of our stuff like kitchen stuff, and things that we didn’t want to get wet. Which was an absolute life saver! Had such a great camping trip despite the rain. Casey the owner also made everything such a breeze. From booking the trip, asking questions and even a partial refund from last minute some of my friends canceling. 5 stars out of 5! My friends and I decided we are coming back to this area. Super chill, relaxed vibe which is what we needed!

A Gem of a Campground - Highly Recommend! We just returned from a fantastic camping trip and had to share our experience at Round Stone. This place is a true gem! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and easy. Casey's communications on expectations were on point. We stayed at Tent Site 4, which was perfect for our needs. It was spacious, well-maintained, and offered a good amount of shade. The ground was level, making setting up our tent a breeze. We also had a great fire pit and picnic table at our site. One thing that truly stood out was the cleanliness of the facilities. We've been to campgrounds where the portable toilets are less than desirable, but the porta-potties here were spotless! It's clear the staff takes great pride in keeping the grounds clean and comfortable for everyone. This alone makes a huge difference in the overall camping experience. Beyond our site and the clean restrooms, the campground itself was wonderful. The atmosphere was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for in a getaway. Overall, we were incredibly impressed with Roundstone and are already planning our next trip back. If you're looking for an excellent campground with great sites and exceptionally clean facilities, look no further! Highly recommend!

This Hipcamp was exactly what my partner and I were looking for! We stayed at Tent #4 and loved discovering that with a short walk behind our set we had our own little babbling brook and stream. I'd definitely recommend this Hipcamp for anyone looking for a smooth camping trip getaway in some beautiful woods.

Our family will never encounter the beauty of this place again. This place displays the beauty of nature as it is. The cabins are clean and in harmony with the state's nature. I will definitely come back again

We loved our stay at RoundStone. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. We stayed at site two which was nice and private. During the day we went over to Mauch Chunk Lake, but the smaller lake on the grounds was just as beautiful. This was our first time at a private owned campground and We’ll definitely be back again!

My girlfriend and 3 dogs stayed at bear view this past weekend. The site was easy to find and the self serve firewood was a big plus knowing it was right near us. $7 for a crate full. The site was way bigger than we expected. It was clean and plenty of room for the dogs to play with the creek at the edge of the site. Heard coyotes both nights but what do you expect, you're in the woods. Only thing I could think of that stunk was having to carry all our gear about 30 yards to and from the road where you have to park. Not every site is like that but it was fine. Will definitely be going back in the future!

We loved staying at Roundstone and would definitely love to come back. There is plenty of parking. Sites are private and secluded. Tent site #3 was near a relaxing stream and had a beautiful fire pit. There are no showers but we knew that going in. The porta potty was clean and not very far from the campsite. It was a bit rocky so finding flat non-rocky spots for so many tents was a slight challenge but we all made it work. Good location near Jim Thorpe and surrounding hiking areas. Overall, we had a great time!

Able to provide full range of camping experiences . Adequate space. We didn’t see any bears or coyotes, though we heard and the dog sensed something/someone shift past in the night. 6 out of 7 of us had absolutely no cell reception, it was a nice break but not one I was prepared for -so it’s important to know.

Absolutely loved this campground and site. Everyone in our group kept mentioning how awesome the site was. We booked camp site #1 and it was the perfect level of privacy while still being close enough to the porta potty and other people in case of emergency. At the entrance of the campgrounds, they have wood for purchase and a dumpster. We had plenty of space for 2 tents, 2 cars, a few hammocks, some chairs and then some. Right on the water, directly next to a small waterfall. Lots of trees around. 15 min from Jim Thorpe, great location! Literally zero complaints!

What a gem right by Jim Thorpe! The bullpine campsite was huge and had a well made fire ring and a picnic table right next to it. Would definitely camp here again.

Tent Site #3 was incredible and we loved our stay at the campground! It was easy to find the site and the porta potties were clean. My kids had a magical time exploring the forest and stream that runs along the site. There is plenty of distance between the other sites. We didn't hear anybody else while we were there.
