Doug and his cats were friendly hosts, and the campsite was beautiful! We hiked the trail in the morning and enjoyed sitting by the creek. I wish we had more than just one night to spend at this amazing place. I'm certain we'll be back! The historical significance is also super interesting, I'm grateful that such cool stuff is being cared for and preserved.

Private unique Mountain river cabin

The view and sounds of the creek this past weekend was definitely worth the drive up! Just wish the water was a little higher to go canoeing as well. Thank you for making the camp ground so accommodating for me and my friends! We'll definitely be back again soon.

Trails, creek, and buildings explored: so much fun. The lovely ceramic tiling (and stained glass) in the cottage was exceptional, especially at this price point. The kitty cat visits were a bonus. Thank you.

This is the cutest campsite! They had plenty of amenities (the shower room had towels in case you forgot yours, they had individually wrapped small bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner), the bathrooms were beautiful and very accommodating, they had a laundry room, and there was no shortage of firewood. The hosts were super friendly. I will definitely be back for sure! 100/10 you should book this campsite!

Awesome experience here :)

Me and my boyfriend loved this spot. Although we didn’t have a lot of time to explore as much as we wanted, we were pleasantly surprised about what we were able to see :) We also petted some really sweet kitties :,) The cabin was soooo cozy and the breeze all night made for an amazing sleep. I woke up not wanting to leave bed. We spoke with the land owner for a little, she is so sweet and welcoming. It seems like they put a lot of effort into their property to make everything perfect :) Definitely the highlight of my PA trip!!!

Last minute 4th of July trip

Doug and his wife have created the most perfect little oasis for anyone looking to just get away for a few days from the noise of life, and tune into the sounds and beauty of nature. Doug and his wife provide giant wagons to cart all your belongings for your stay, instead of having to carry them to your camping spot. The bathroom’s and shower area are clean and beautiful! We were surprised to see they were stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, towels, wash cloths, and they even have towels in the shower area for you to use! Not only are the bathroom’s stocked with everything you would need, but so is the mud sink for washing any dishes! We chose to go camping on 4th of July very suddenly and our booking process was easy and stress free! The campsite we chose was spacious and steps away from the tranquil crystal clear river, perfect for swimming, canoeing/kayaking, or fishing. Even if you forgot to bring fire wood they have that for you as well for only a small price per bundle. We were so pleased with our last minute trip and we have already decided to book the same spot for 4th of July next year! Highly recommend!

Loved the rustic tiny house

What a unique place ! Loved the rustic tiny house ! Quiet , private and peaceful. The bathroom was clean and well equipped. Lost power because of a crazy storm but was still good ! Would book the other tiny house or the rustic again . Got in the creek felt really good . You need water shoes :)

Majestic Mountain Campground

We loved and enjoyed our time at the creek front campground. Doug was an excellent host showing us all the amenities on site when we arrived. His land was a peaceful and majestic little campground. You’ll fall in love with the tranquil sounds of the flowing creek while laying in a hammock or being lulled to sleep at night. We were visited by beautiful colorful dragonflies and even a turtle. This was a relaxing getaway that I can’t wait to get back to. Thank you so much Doug for sharing your space.

What a cute setup. Stayed in one of the tiny cabins, equipped with a mini fridge, tea kettle, fan, and mugs. The bed was very comfortable and I slept great! My finance and I walked along the trail that goes over the mountain along the stream. Nice scenery and dipped our feet in. The campground has 2 clean bathrooms and a shower, the water was cold but fine for a summer day and they even had soap and towels like a hotel :) we had a great time. Very refreshing.

Feels like camping on an island!

My kids and I had such an amazing time! It was a perfect way to celebrate the end of the school year and the start of summer. The kids loved wading into the creek. Doug was very generous with the firewood we ordered, which kept the campsite cozy throughout the evening. We were all really impressed with the bathroom and shower (a real luxury!) which was well stocked and clean. It was removed enough from the campsite so that we felt 'in the woods' but knew it was just a short walk away. Note that there is another site on the small island that, if occupied, would necessitate walking near each other to get to the facilities. We picked a day in the week with no other campers so we had the entire area to ourselves! Thank you for an amazing start to summer!

This place is awesome. We had a very private site next to the river, making for good times and amazing views. It definitely is pretty expensive for a campsite, but there also are showers and bathrooms which are always a big plus.

Pristine and Peaceful Hideaway

It was a wonderful experience and just the cozy vibe I was looking for. The hiking trail next to the river was beautiful, it was a pristine and breathtaking property. The hosts were accommodating and a wonderful couple. We had plenty of privacy and they were quick to respond if we needed anything. It was all in all a really peaceful and relaxing place!

Beautiful views & comfortable stay

Gorgeous views, comfortable beds, heaters provided so you can control the temperature, and easy access to the restrooms and shower. I would say skip the kayak/canoe because it’s a shallow and narrow stream without very far to go and it was kind of a fast current. The stay also wasn’t technically ready for our stay at 3 pm checkin time (fridge wasn’t on and I didn’t notice until a day later, water wasn’t turned on in the cabin and wasn’t sure it was supposed to be until I asked). I hate to feel like I have to keep bothering the host for stuff but they were super responsive and kind people. Overall super splendid and worth it, just double check stuff and ask so that you don’t feel like a dork when you aren’t sure a day later 🤪

Cutest trip! Loved the tiny home very peaceful. Doug and Lisa were very generous and gave us a flashlight, newspapers, a lighter, fire starter, and made us cookies! There are some nice trails for you to explore on the property and beautiful artwork all throughout. A must visit!

Perfect campground next to the cree

I stayed with 9 friends, 2 of them stayed in the tiny house while the rest of us camped with tents and hammocks. The campground is serenely placed right next to the water with nature in every direction, rarely there will be a car or motorcycle going down the back road across the water, but that was maybe 2 times while we stayed. Great host as well, Doug was very accommodating and has done a great job with the grounds and the rest of the place. The bathrooms and showers were probably the best I've seen at a campground, and a huge bonus is there's a bunch of adorable (and very social) cats. I highly recommend this spot, my friends and I all agree this should be on our list of campgrounds to revisit!

Friendly host, beautiful location, cozy tiny house. The bathroom and shower accommodations feel above average for this type of setup. You'll have a chance to befriend some a local cat and hens as well. Highly recommend.

Tiny House, Great Experience!

I had a great time staying in one of the "tiny homes". Checkin was a breeze and everything from the house to the multiple fire pit locations was great. The sense of history you feel surround by the old Pump buildings is awesome. Overall, great place! I'll be back!
