Putt's Camp stands out as a unique primitive camping destination, offering a serene waterfront experience at Raystown Lake, managed by the Friends of Raystown Lake. Nestled north of mile marker 26, this group tenting area is perfect for gatherings and reservations from all types of groups. Spanning 26 acres, Putt's Camp features a mix of open fields, wooded areas, and a stunning shoreline with 300 yards of premier waterfront access. The campground includes eight campsites: five nestled in the woods, two in open fields, and one right by the water. A spacious picnic shelter with a hand-built fireplace is available for large groups, along with an all-faith chapel, water pumps, vault toilets, and two newly constructed Adirondack shelters. Bordered by the beautiful Rothrock State Forest, Putt's Camp is accessible via the Terrace Mountain Trail, making it an ideal spot for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, fishing, swimming, and paddling. For those seeking a unique experience, Putt's Camp is open year-round, inviting adventurous souls to try winter camping.
