Gorgeous views, quiet, clean, and plenty of hiking opportunities made this a wonderful weekend away! Joe was beyond kind and accommodating, though we did not have the pleasure of meeting in-person (next time!) I loved having the private trail access and I could easily modify my hike any way I wanted, from private and quiet to public and challenging! Plenty of space for my tent and gear, lots of provided seating for around the fire, and a cute little shower space if needed. Directions were very easy! Joe shared that some changes are coming to the space, and I'm really looking forward to another visit!

A little slice of paradise just minutes from the overlook where you can enjoy views of the Susquehanna at sunset and sunrise- highly recommend. Walking distance to several gorgeous hikes. James and Joe were both very communicative and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. They were wonderful hosts. The space is set towards the back of a pretty property with a barn, house and a small fruit orchard- it is private but if you’re looking to be more in the middle of nowhere it might not be your cup of tea. It’s set back from the road quite a ways but you can hear the sound of the traffic going to/from the Pinnacle overlook. We still loved it and would highly recommend if you’re ok with not being 100% off grid.

My dog and I loved camping here. We stayed 2 nights over a weekend and didn't want to leave. It was relaxing and I had excellent sleep this weekend. The site was clean, private, quiet and flat which made pitching my tent a breeze. The host was great and greeted me on arrival. There's plenty of things to do within an hour of the site. The Pinnacle Overlook is a must see and a 2 minute drive from the site. This was so much better than staying in a hotel. Can't wait to return.

What a beautiful area! They are surrounded by beautiful forest, the camp site was flat and clean with everything we needed. It was private and my favorite was you were a few steps to the Kelly trail that took you to the pinnical overlook. Our host was so accommodating and nice. He told us all the great places to go, and this area has so much to do. But honestly the trails were my favorite, so we did not have to go far to keep us busy. Watching the sunset at pinnacle overlook was so romantic. I really recommend this site. My only complaint is i wish i stayed longer. I'm definitley coming back😃

Didn't meet the owner, but his friend who also lives there was super cool. If you are into hiking, you need to stay here! The campsite is like a 6-minute walk from the Pinnacle overlook. There is a trail directly from the site that will connect you to the Conestoga trail system. If you head one direction, you can go down into beautiful Kelly's Run (google Kellys Run loop). Heading the other direction, past the Pinnacle and down the Conestoga Trail, will take you down into the Tucquan Glen gorge. And you can even continue on from there to House Rock and wind cave. These trails are epic. You will feel like you are in the mountains, without having to drive to the actual mountains. Huge boulders everywhere, small waterfalls and cascades, some light rock scrambling, beautiful views of the Susquehanna, etc etc.
Definitely recommend checking out Kelly's run, and Tucquan Glen. Maybe do one hike in the evening, and the other the next morning or something.

This is an excellent site. The location is right next to some of the best hiking in Lancaster county. The host was helpful and accessible. I would definitely come back to this site.

We loved camping at the orchard! There’s space behind the fence for pitching your tent, grilling, and a campfire. A very idyllic, peaceful setting that is private! Also close to lots of great hiking, and tubing. We had a great time staying here! The hosts are extremely responsive and welcoming. Highly recommend camping here!

We had a great time camping at Pinnacle Orchards. James was very helpful and was a great host. Very private camping area, trail access from the property, and quiet! Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away. Will definitely be back ☺️

Joe’s place was the perfect spot for a peaceful car camping getaway. The property is beautifully maintained, and the campsite was spotless and easy to access with an AWD vehicle. James, the co-host, was incredibly welcoming and shared valuable insights about the area. The property has direct access to scenic trails that lead straight to the breathtaking Pinnacle Overlook. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I had a nice time camping at Joe's Pinnacle orchard. James was a terrific host with a ton of info about the area. Despite the reading the directions I misunderstood and entered the property up the main driveway which positioned me in a tough spot to turn around with the ground being wet from previous rain. My van got stuck but Joe was kind enough to help pull me out.
The site is on a bit of a slope and fairly windy. It is a "Pinnacle" in fact, a pretty high spot. It felt very private and quiet. Literally right next to a state park with amazing views. Definitely would love to stay again.

Perfect spot for a quick get a way! Joe's property is secluded but close to civilization. The trails on the property are perfect for an early morning stroll or night time hike. I love how close this spot is to the Pinnacle Lookout as well. James, who helps Joe manage the hipcamp, is fantastic! Super knowledgeable about area hiking trails, as well as local eateries and convenience stores. I felt very safe and comfortable. I will 100% be back!

Second time booking and it was just as amazing, love knowing where I was and felt safer knowing I have been here before. Such an accommodating host. Grill was a nice touch, and the picnic table was perfect for us to eat at. We think of making this our go to camp spot. The view of the point is so close! 10/10 recommended

When I arrived James and Loretta Lynn met me to give me the tour. It was nice to feel so welcomed! The site was lovely, peaceful, and quiet! It was just what I needed on my weekend camp. The proximity to the trails was great and James checked in via text with recommendations to see the northern lights. There was electricity and a jug of water for washing. Thanks and I hope to return!

We absolutely loved camping here with our dogs. The property is amazing, and trail accessnis right at the campsite. The site is secluded and clean. Lots of wildlife at night! James who helps run the hipcamp and his dog Loretta were so accommodating and kind, and he gave us the best recommendations for hikes. This is our new favorite hipcamp and we can't wait to go back. Definitely recommend!!

My husband and our 3 dogs and I had an absolutely amazing time camping here! The site is peaceful and quiet and clean, and has a great set up! James (and his dog Loretta!) who helps manage the property was kind and accommodating, and gave us great recommendations for hikes! The Pinnacle overlook was a short, easy walk from the site and was absolutely stunning. This is also where the park bathrooms are (if you drive it's about a minute drive). Definitely recommend this site -- we will be back for sure!

The property is lovely and the camp site was nicely secluded by the wooden wall. The access to the trail over to the pinnacle lookout was an easy walk. There was a make shift shower area that I ended up using, which was a nice change from washing up in my pop up shower tent.
James (who lives on the property and manages hipcamp) was super friendly and was in communication with me several day's prior to my stay with helpful information. He also gathered fire wood for me while he was on his hikes, and showed me where I could pick apples from the trees. Loretta (James' pup) was an absolute delight!! We played fetch and then watched the sunset together haha! Toward the end of my stay, James asked my opinion on what they could do to improve, which I thought was very nice, it is apparent they really care and want folks to thoroughly enjoy their stay - which I did!

We loved tent camping on Joe’s property with our dog! The camping spot felt private, had access to everything we needed, and was so conveniently located next to the Pinnacle overlook. We were able to watch the sunset there and walk the trail. Would love to stay at this site again!
