Very friendly and accommodating. We had an entire field to ourselves. There was a mixup with our whoopie pies order and the host family bakes us cookies! We were blown away by this gesture and their friendliness. Would stay here again. The animals and river were a delightful touch for the kids.

Piggy hill was wonderful! The hosts (and their animals:) were kind, responsive, and accommodating, and the location is fantastic - several minutes away from Susquehanna State Park by car (or a short bike ride or medium walk), a quick drive to the river islands, and there are a variety of other places and activities nearby that we didn't have time to explore (pumpkin picking, apple picking, pony rides...).
The site we stayed on was very simple - just a lawn and a fire pit - but it worked for us! There are creekside sites too, close to each other and next to an extremely quiet road and a very small creek (not the one in the photos). Next time, we'll bring lawn chairs and maybe some friends!
Unique highlights: Bacon, the sweetest cat ever, two of the most gentle horses I have ever met, eggs and Amish pastries available for order (HIGH quality whoopie pies!), serene rolling hills and farm land.

Piggy Hill Plein Air Workshops
Stayed at site 1 with my 6yo boy in a roof top tent. Site was very nice. My 6yo boy enjoyed the stream, the animals and the scenery. Susquehannock state park is a short bike ride away. I highly suggest the baked goods, they are very good. Would stay again. Nice little spot.

We stayed at site #5, Hurricane Delta brought in a ton of rain both nights were booked but and thankfully Lora offered to let us set up in the loft in the barn above the horses where we were able to stay dry. It was quite an experience to remember but we were still able to start a campfire and make the best of it. My son really loved checking out all the animals on the farm. And the state park is super close. But we were thrilled to find other things to do given the bad weather

This place was magical!! Service is a bit spotty, but Lora was very communicative and responsive. Maryanne, Lambert, Tinkerbell and Inky were wonderful hosts as well, and SUPER friendly. Our site (#3) was the best for us to be the most secluded and we were closest to the creek which made for a lovely sound to go to sleep to. The baked goods are a MUST especially the cinnamon rolls! Our site was not super private, but well-spaced from the others. The only thing to note would be that the only toilet option is at Susquahannock State Park which is up the road. It is a short drive and a nice walk, but keep that in mind when booking! Overall my girlfriends and I have a wonderful time. We explored the property as well as the State Park that is full of well maintained trails. Would absolutely recommend and stay here again!

Piggy hill was a great site to camp. It was a short drive from great hiking trails, the site was clean and ready to go with a fire pit. There were horses and of course a pig on the farm that were friendly and came up to us to say hello. Lora was extremely accommodating and welcoming. I was able to purchase farm fresh eggs for my breakfast from Lora and they were delicious. There are public restrooms within driving distance at the Susquehannock state park, which i did not mind but uou cannot walk to then from the farm. You can pull your vehicle up to your site and unload your car which is great. This was my first time using hip camp and it was a great experience and I definitely would come back. Great location, great host, great camp sites.

Beautiful hilly farm with a lovely stream. It was a downpour for us but we still had a great time. The dry wood was a game-changer. Whoopee pies recommended.

We had a great time at Piggy Hill. We stayed at camp site #5 which was the most tucked away from the house and the other campsites. Note that all campsites are close to the road, so you will indeed hear cars and horse/buggies. Most important is that there is not a bathroom on site, it is up the road about a mile in the Susquehannock State Park. Peeing in the woods wasn't a big deal for us, but I can imagine this could pose a problem for some. Another thing to keep in mind while you plan your trip is that we could hear almost everything from the other sites, as well as the neighbor across the street who seemed to be testing his new sound system late into the night. The site was great, the animals were so friendly, and overall we recommend!

Piggy Hill is a beautiful old farm with a trusting & friendly family & their animals. Great for guests with kids and dogs! New to the renting of their land, I’m sure the farm is only going to get better. Only critiques would be that the bathroom is not quite as close as advertised, but the state park is definitely worth checking out :) We stayed at site #2 and found the stream a little hairy to traverse with the wet weather, but found an easier route to load out. Hope to be back again soon!!!

Very friendly host and accommodating children to help out. Scenery around the camp site is spectacular. You get the full feeling of seclusion with the comfort of knowing the family is nearby to help out and local stores are close for any forgotten items. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful camping experience on Lora’s farm. The site was beautiful with lots of room for the kids to explore and run. We received a very warm welcome, and loved that we could preorder firewood, delicious baked goods, and fresh eggs. The kids spent every minute they could petting the kittens, the pig, and the lamb, and we are so grateful that they were invited to do so at will.

Perfect for families/new campers

Piggy Hill Plein Air Workshops
This is the perfect place for family camping, especially those with young kids or those relatively new to camping. The four campsites on this property are well spaced from each other. While not completely secluded, they are generously separated and private.
There are many highlights to list, but we particularly enjoyed the many friendly animals that live on Lora’s property. There’s a pig, a sheep, a couple kittens, chickens (with delicious fresh eggs available for purchase and delivered right to your campsite in the morning), and two horses. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a bag of treats to share with Maryanne (pig) and Lambert (sheep), who love attention and are especially happy to meet children.
All the campsites are nestled along a small creek that runs the border of the property and each came equipped with a fire pit and trash can. There’s a pond for fishing and we saw other campers haul in some bites. Susquehannock state park is right up the street (walkable or a quick drive) and has a playground, modern toilets and other state park amenities. The hosts are generous with their time and knowledge of the area and are more than happy to offer suggestions on local sightseeing, hikes, and places to eat. The location is perfectly located in the heart of Amish country and all it has to offer.
Our stay at Piggy Hill was wonderful and we look forward to coming back again soon. Lora and her family were so welcoming to us and our small children and went the extra mile to ensure our experience was exceptional.

Lora was very communicative from the start and was beyond sweet with meeting us. Everything about camping out on her farm was amazing. The only down side was that we didn’t get to stay longer. I truly can’t wait and camp out with more time. Really looking forward to coming back. Take care and see you soon!
