Our chemical free farm is set on 45 acres overlooking the iconic Delaware Water Gap in the Pocono Mountains! We're located 1 hour from NYC and 1.5 hours from Philadelphia and the closest national recreation area with millions of visitors each year. There are plenty of activities within the 45 acres: hiking, fishing, farming activities, bird watching, biking all on site. We have luscious fields of sustainably produced vegetables, fruit and flowers. Explore the Delaware river from our boat launch or one of the great canoe rental companies. Hike Mt. Tammany, Ski Shawnee Mt, walk the Appalachian Trail, visit America's oldest jazz club in Delaware Water Gap or visit the dozens of water falls surrounding our farm for a swim. (Autumn is camping season in the poconos, bring blankets and plan hikes for excellent fall foliage) We have 3 camping locations which you can park near with your vehicle. They are all private camps and out of sight from others. Our camps sites are for people that like camping in the mountains and near a working farm. Our farm and the community we built is focused on sustainable living with nature, local self reliance, and kindness. Also, feel free to join us in the fields, request a tour, pet a goat, smell a pig, and check out our DIY home renovation, (built with hempcrete). Pets should not be off leash unless well behaved and pets should not be left unattended. truck campers are allowed if they're under 8 feet. No trailers/campers. After a day or rafting down the river we suggest a beverage and a bite from the local hangout The Minisink Hotel! Pets should not be off leash unless well behaved, and pets should not be left unattended. Our camps sites are for people that like camping in the mountains and near a farm and pond. We are a sustainable produce and plant medicine farm, focused on regenerative agriculture and building with hempcrete and other sustainable materials, the farmhouse and farm store are sustainably built hemp homes. The campsites at the organic farm are great, spacious and secluded. A lot of birds and several deer were attracted by the pond. The farm is very close to the city and the trails, at very convenient spot for everything one needs. Communication with Eric was excellent! I would come again anytime.

My stay here was perfect! I reached out a few different times before the trip with some questions and he got back to me within the hour. Eric checked in everyday just to make sure our stay was going smoothly. The campsite was the perfect size and close to a lot of different hiking trails. Eric truly was a great host!

Peaceful Place for Tent Camping

Eric’s land is beautiful, with walking trails, a pond, and 3 campsites that are far enough away from each other to make you feel like it is just you and the wilderness. He has farm animals but I could not hear them from my campsite. Peaceful place with no RVs. If you are a tent camper this is idyllic.

Beautiful property, close to lots of great hiking. Our site at the top of the hill had a great view. We also fished in the private pond and caught a few bass and sunfish. Would definitely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect! It was our second visit, the pond site is gorgeous, very friendly owners. who took such good care of our children and introduced them to all the animals. Thank you! hope it’s not another three years before we return!

Beautiful farm and people. The goats and chickens were great entertainment and our 2 year LOVED it. Camp site was nice and secluded. Campfire with the stars was a highlight! The hosts were great and we are so grateful for this camp.

This site was so fun and beautiful. There are three sites on the land, but they are pretty spread out so there's plenty of privacy. Chickens, goats, and dogs, you're likely to see upon pulling into the driveway. Greg the goat will entertain you with his Black Phillip-esque self and flirting hijinks. Hester the livestock dog is calm and does her job very well. There is a pond that had some algae, but cleared up the second day and was fun for swimming if you can tolerate the silt. We stayed in the middle site by the meadow and pond -- it was beaaaaautiful. Wildflowers, great view, songbirds, tons of frogs/toads. The ground wasn't level, but I couldn't have been more comfortable sleeping there but something to keep in mind if you're sensitive to that. Despite being near a pond, we didn't find the mosquitos terrible. We bought wood and eggs from the site, both excellent. Everyone was kind and helpful. We were encouraged to go in and socialize with the goats, so we definitely did that. Some of the kids were definitely still pickup-able! They needed snuggling! All in all, a great site and highly recommend.

I brought my 3 kids (13, 10, 8 yrs old) for their first camping experience. The property was beautiful and Eric and everyone else could not have been kinder and more accommodating. We’ll be back and I would definitely recommend.

Serene, Convenient, Peaceful

Eric’s property was peaceful and serene. Very hilly, so prepare your calves for a workout when walking to the outhouse or the sink! Our site was completely private, surrounded by tall, fragrant foliage and quite a distance from the nearest camp. Our camp was in the “back pond”, which we could have driven to if we had a high-clearance vehicle, but the Honda Civic couldn’t make it all the way. We carried our gear maybe 150 yards to get to our site. There was an established fire ring and a large, mowed clearing for pitching the tent. We passed a picturesque pond every time we went in or out. There are a few free-roaming dogs on-site, but the only interactions we had with them were so sweet (Margeaux was the bestest girl, well trained and so gentle!) My only precaution would be that there was absolutely no cell service, and it was in fact a few miles’ drive to be able to get signal. The bugs were pretty aggressive as well, and there are restrictions at the (organic) farm as to what types of bug repellent can be utilized. Would absolutely stay here again.

We arrived later than expected, on a Saturday night, and Eric was very accommodating! Eric helped us get settled in the dark and had our firewood ready as ordered. The spot was lovely and secluded. I wish we had more time available to explore the farm. Thank you to Eric for hosting us.

Overall we had a very nice experience. Beautiful property. Eric was nice. He has a lot to manage. What I learned from this experience is the importance of detailed descriptions of sites and specific site reservations instead of first come first served. We ended up at the gap view site. We enjoyed the spaciousness of it. Plenty of room for our vehicles and large tent with room to spare. Surrounded by blooming bee balm. There was some shade on the periphery. Excellent space to star gaze from. The shower is located in the midst of an active construction zone due to restoration of house, making it awkward to use , so we didn’t. I wasn’t sure about how sanitary the outhouse was because it’s a wood slab with a hole in it ( no seat that can be disinfected) . The hand sanitizer looked about empty. I had brought my camp toilet so just used that. Excellent location. We enjoyed tubing on the Delaware . In hindsight i would ask Eric how to get to his riverside property to start or take out there . We put in At Smithfield beach- got out at Kittatiny- took 5.5 hours with using hands to paddle. Highly recommend The Gem and Sango Kura for dining . Marshall’s Creek Falls was a nice quick stop. Frazetta Museum tour is vey interesting.

This was a beautiful spot for my friends, their kids and dogs to camp for the weekend. Eric was super helpful with recommendations in the area. We found spots to swim on hot days and the dogs thoroughly enjoyed the pond. The kids loved saying hi to the goats and chickens. We got a bunch of eggs from the farm each morning and firewood for the evenings. There were a lot of nice spots to set up our tents. The pond site had the most shade. We will definitely be returning for another weekend, maybe in the fall. Thank you to our host! We had a fantastic time.

Incredible host, beautiful land that is perfect for a camping getaway. Eric was super hospitable on arrival and made everything very easy. The campground was spectacular and very quiet. We had two young kids with us who absolutely loved exploring the pond and saying hi to the farm animals

This Hipcamp is a on a farm in a great location in the Poconos right by the Delaware Water Gap close to the river and the Appalachian Trail. Eric was kind, helpful and made us feel welcome.

The get away you need

We really enjoyed our tent camp stay at Eric’s farm. The dogs, the goats and chickens welcomed us, the private camp spots were great. We had choice of the 3 available spots (Thursday-Saturday) My 17 yo son and friend loved the Pond Camp Site so they could easily fish any time of day/night. This site is the largest with plenty of room to spread out in shade or sun. The pond has plenty of fish to catch and release. John boat available to get the big bass. The fire pit was fabulous, with wood being delivered by the pit. Plenty of kindling nearby to collect. Great property to hike around the mowed paths; found a creek with small water falls past the pond to the left, meadows with trails to “get lost in nature”, great views at the top of the hill. The best Delaware River fishing spots close by (on PA side) tips given by Eric. He’s a great host, kind, super helpful, and all the while, rebuilding his house with hemp and caring for the land and community. Wawa is 5 min drive for 5G and Ice. Was great to not have service at the campsites. (WiFi worked near the house/outhouse) My guys mentioned enjoyed a break from scrolling and gaming 💚

Our camping experience at Eric’s organic farm in the Poconos was nothing short of fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home in this serene setting Eric was an outstanding host—friendly, helpful, and full of local knowledge. He made sure we had everything we needed and was happy to answer our questions about the farm and its operations. The fresh eggs are available for purchase and it was a delightful bonus. There’s nothing quite like cooking with ingredients straight from the source! Whether you’re an experienced camper or just looking for a unique way to reconnect with nature, this farm is a must-visit. We loved camping at Hempstead!! The campsite was secluded and easy to find, there was wood waiting for us when we arrived, and the other campers were very friendly. Playing with the goats was a highlight, and the host was easy to communicate with. I would absolutely return to camp there.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Eric’s for a couple of nights and had a lovely time! Campsite was very private, and Eric was very hospitable. We canoed the Delaware River (Eric’s suggestion) and had a lovely time, highly recommend! The dogs were super cute and friendly too. :•) Would love to stay here again!!
