this was such a beautiful place to camp. the pool, the pond, the shared bathroom, the kitchen area !! it’s exactly what you need for a elevated camping experience.

Relaxing Campsite on the Creek
First of all, thanks to the host for a wonderful greeting with a little treat. About staying, I camped at Creekside with my family. It was my parent's first camping trip of their lives. They enjoyed and loved the place, as did I. It was also my first time at Muddy Mist. As a camper, this was the best experience of my camping life. I love everything in here. I will be visiting here again.

I’ve stayed at Muddy Myst a few times, but this was my first staying at the creek site. Much to my surprise, I enjoyed it even more than the pond site! It affords a little more privacy, and the sound of the running water is so peaceful to sleep next time.
I’ve stayed at a lot of great campsites, but we always end up back here. It’s a favorite of ours! The hosts are always so accommodating, kind, and responsive, and they are definitely part of the reason Muddy Myst is such a nice place to spend your days!

Cozy Tree Cabin on the Pond
We loved camping at Muddy Myst! The family who owns the property are very kind; the love they have for their beautiful land shines bright! The area was quiet, serene, & extremely well maintained. The bathroom & common area were pristine. There were a few other campers visiting during our stay, but the sites are plenty far apart to provide privacy. We stayed in the tree house cabin; it was a pretty chilly weekend but we were very warm & cozy in our little spot. The bed was comfortable & they provided a small heater for us to use. We always bring our pup along when we camp & it can be hit or miss, however we had such a pleasant experience camping with her at Muddy Myst! The property is very dog friendly & she loved having to opportunity to be off leash. We can’t wait to come back!

The cozy tree house cabin is a fantastic stay to get away and let the mind free. From the trees to the frogs everything was perfect. This a hidden gem in Pennsylvania!! If you're in the pittsburgh area I would definitely recommend staying here. I'm looking forward to my(our) next visit in the near future.

This Treehouse Cabin was an absolutely wonderful couple’s getaway. The property is so well-maintained and peaceful. The hosts were so kind and were available for anything we needed. Definitely a place where we will be staying at again.

Relaxing Campsite on the Pond
We really enjoyed our stay, great spot for family tent camping! The hosts have put a lot of thought into the guest experience. Common areas felt like home, really enjoyed being able to take out the kayaks and paddle boat on the lake.

I find myself battling a bit of selfishness while typing this review. I almost don't even want to tell anyone how perfect this place is. I don't want anyone else to know about it. But Liam and his family deserve the absolute most glowing review. Muddy Myst is perfect...Im not saying that loosely... I mean it is actually perfect. I can't believe such a place exists this close to me. There really are no words to capture the beauty of this site. I hope the few pictures we have included will do it justice. Thank you Liam! You really gave a gift to the rest of us by opening your land up to those of us who are looking for a retreat from the daily grind of life. Your parents were also so warm and welcoming! Hey Tom! You guys are awesome and we can't wait to come back!

May I start off by saying loved it and very peaceful ,quiet & was able to do everything I wanted to with my family. The owners are very friendly ,respectful & very caring felt more at home as soon as I was greeted the place is very clean and definitely recommended I see myself coming back real soon.

We had an amazing time! The cabin was very cozy, it was the best. It rained but not even that could've changed how great of a time we were having, it's the perfect spot to get away to when you need.

Everything was as advertised and more. YouTube was helpful to acclimated. Heat works great- cabin definitely works well for non-summer camping. Lovely spot and reasonable drive into Pittsburgh, plus close to lots of trails and nature.

It’s my favorite place to camp. The property is beautiful and there are convenient ,nice and clean facilities on the property. Sites are private and about the same price as over crowded state parks.

This was a last minute decision for a quick birthday getaway and our first time using Hipcamp. It was a success! We little tree cabin was cozy as promised and the woods around them wonderful. There was some much frog life in the ponds! We will definitely go back on a different season.

This was an exceptional camping site. My don and daughter had a blast on the paddle boat and we were lucky enough to catch stars overnight. Will definitely be back!

We loved tent camping here. Watching the welcome video was super helpful. The creek sight truly is amazing because you can hear the creek the whole time. We had some rainy weather come in, but down at the creek there wasn’t much wind. The other campsites are a good distance away. The bathroom/shower is warm which was great in the cold weather we had while camping.

Our family had a great time at the pond site at Muddy Myst. The amenities were perfect and exactly as described. The property was clean and beautiful. Liam has done a great job at making sure his guests are taken care of, while also allowing for privacy and relaxation.

I have been camping here a lot, Solo camping and with friends. I feel safe solo camping in here, when you get in the site it’s gated and very private. I spoke to Liam’s dad a little bit and seems a great guy. Pond site or creek site both I felt safe. Clean surroundings and you feel remotely comfortable. And yes I will recommend this site.

I enjoyed my stay here, unfortunately I just chose to camp late February and Mother Nature had other plans for me haha. I will certainly be back when the warmer weather rolls around. The common area was well kept and had a lot of personality, you can tell this place is loved. Excited for my next visit!

This is my favorite place to camp. The sites are extremely nice and private. The common area is extremely convenient and warm. It’s very safe and in a great location. I 100 % recommend muddy mist rather you want to rough it at the creek or pond site or stay in the beautiful tree house. It’s an excellent get away

This is a family friendly place with a lot of extras that make the difference. The property is set up in a sprawling campus format with many options to fill the day. It's tucked back far enough to make you feel like you're away from the static of it all, but close enough to the main drag that you're not completely disconnected if you don't want to be. The interactions with Liam and Jolene were so friendly and genuine. They made our stay so comfortable. I'd recommend this for an individual seeking solace from the static or for a family that's looking to spend some time together adventuring.

The cozy cabin at the pond has everything you need for spending a relaxing nights in the nature. Liam was a responsive and thoughtful host. The land is beautiful in fall! Nice trails to hike with a pup, pond for swimming and kayaking. The common area is warm and has every necessity you need for glamping. The shower and restrooms are clean and well maintained.

Muddy Myst is a perfect campsite for both new and veteran campers. We stayed at the pond site, which gives access to a gorgeous view of the pond and lets you use the kayaks and pedal boat. Not too far away is a heated common area and bathroom. The bathroom has a heated shower so you can have some comforts of home while still being out in the wilderness. Definitely will come out here again in the spring or summer to enjoy swimming in the pond.
