My daughters and I made last minute reservation for a primitive site along the creek. They set up hammocks and I slept in tent. Very peaceful and relaxing eve. It got down to 37 degrees but we had packed layers so wasn’t too bad! Some of the youth group friends booked a neighboring site and set up camp in dark. Thanks for the enjoyable evening!

This was a great camping spot, especially because my mom, dog, and I were trying to slip a last minute (end of the season) trip in. It was a great location for us to meet in between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
Recommend arriving before dark - we had a challenging time finding the location at first but after reviewing their directions, we found it just fine. Very private since we were the only ones camping at the primitive sites. Recommend if you are interested in seeing the foliage at the end of the fall season.

We arrived just after sunset but the directions she gave to the site were impeccable so I had zero trouble navigating in the dark.
The property is in the middle of nowhere - no light pollution, no traffic noise, just the trickle of the creek, crackle of the fire, and an intermittent dog bark a few miles away. There’s a great spot for the tent, nice and flat, we didn’t have pads but it didn’t matter.
We weren’t able to stay long, as it was my 5yr old’s first camping trip and he didn’t enjoy it as much as I had hoped, but I will be rebooking for myself in the spring. It was a 4 hour drive for me but I’m willing to do it again. Spot was clean, trailer campers on the grounds were quiet. Really looking forward to going back and getting the full experience. What an amazing site! If you are looking for a place to completely disconnect in a beautiful camping spot, this place is for you! Right by a little creek and not crowded at all. It was perfect for us. I also love that they were dog friendly. They passed a few times in the evening and asked if we needed anything. They even used their cart to transport firewood. Definitely recommend!

Awesome little spot! Was able to book late in the eve and be there within 15minutes! Listened to the creek all night! This was a last minute stay as we were just passing through traveling east. I def want to come back and explore the area more!! Thank you!!

This site is right next to the stream which provides a perfect background to the picturesque location. There’s a fire ring, a small bench overlooking the stream, and plenty of room for a couple of tents. There is no table at the site, but we brought a folding table which worked out great. Portable toilets were close by, and the main campground with the pool, store, and playground are a short 5 minute walk up the hill. The view of the mountains from the pool is very nice. Sites 1 and 3 are not visible from site 2, so you are well isolated. The kids enjoyed fishing in the stream as well as the nearby lake which also has paddle boats. The hosts were very friendly and even helped our neighbors set up their tents! We really enjoyed this site and can’t wait to return!

This place is so beautiful! It was peaceful and quiet and near, so many great trails and Austin was such a help to us with some tricky tent maneuvers. Carolyn was always gracious with information and Guidance. We had to leave a bit early because it was threatening to thunder, but we would’ve loved to of stayed as long as possible!

This campsite was amazing! Very secluded and we fell asleep to the babbling brook a few feet from our tent. We can’t wait until our next camping trip! We highly recommend “primitive site 2.” It was huge and far from 1 and 3. The site was clean and ready for us when we got there. We bought wood at the campsite office across the street.

There had been a lot of rain lately, and more on the way the night that we got there. The groundskeeper, Rich, said that Primitive Sight #2 was pretty muddy, and thought it is possible that my SUV would get stuck. I reached out to Carolyn and she allowed us to camp at one of the tent spots, across from the office. This was helpful, because T-Mobile did not get service there, but we could connect to the WiFi. It rained all night, but we were prepared and stayed dry. I would love to go back and see what the Primitive camping site is like, as that was the original plan. It is beautiful country there, so I will be back.

This place was was amazing. So peaceful. The campsites are located at the bottom of an open field, just inside the treeline. We were the only ones camping that night so Carolyn let us pick our campsite. We were able to place our tent quite close to the stream and it provided the perfect white noise for our sleep! As promised there were bathrooms and showers in the baige building next to the office. The people at the main campground were so friendly and very helpful.
10/10 would definitely recommend this spot for other primitive campers.

I’m already looking forward to my next stay! Carolyn and Kris were both very communicative and made sure I had everything that I needed. The site it self was well taken care of and provided a fire pit. I booked on a rainy day and there weren’t any other campers so I had the the place to my self :). I had a great night cooking on the fire and enjoying the rain and sounds or the stream! Which was very blissful to fall asleep to. There is a bit of road noise but not nearly as bad as other reviewers made it seem! This is a great place to stay for campers of all experience levels looking to enjoy the great outdoors!

Very clean and well kept...love the lake area! Miniature golf was beautifully done (we did not use, but looks like it will be fun). Our camping area was right next to the creek and it was perfect! Nothing beats a camp-made meal, as the sun rises and gentle nature sounds relax your mind.

Camp site was nice. It was close to the road so there is a lot of sound. The view is blocked by tree cover in the summer. I would recommend going in the winter. Host was nice and accommodating
