An easy, restful stay on a nice lay of grass. We had a picnic table and chairs provided by Brian, and a bunch of wood that made an awesome fire.

Beautiful, quiet place
Very nice place to relax. We stayed in the "field" location, which is at the edge of a huge great meadow, against the forest. Fairly private, the (extremely long) driveway is at the far side of the meadow, a few hundred feet away, and the owner's home is a little visible through the trees, at least 500 feet away.

One of the best Hipcamp experiences we’ve had. Site was quiet, private, nice up keep. We could see some stars at night and had a nice fire. Brian and his wife were kind and welcoming.

Simplicity and peaceful
Found this place last minute as we were travelling back to NC from Canada. Booked last minute and Brian was very quick to respond about some questions before booking. Brian gave immediate direction upon booking as the HC coordinates were slightly off but not too far off. Brian quickly met us as we got there and pointed out where to stay and openly recommended to reach out for anything.
Used the place to pitch our truck and Roof top tent. There were deers and their fawns as we arrived grazing to the field which was very nice to see. Cloud cover left for the night and showed a very starry skies. Open Field filled with fireflies with the fog created a nice setting for the night. Left early without notice to head back only to be greeted couple hours later by Brian regarding safe travel and our stay.
Very nice hosts, honest and kind from short interactions. We travel back and forth couple times a year. Will def be back as it is midway between our destinations.

Cozy Camping Near Ricketts Glen
Brian is an exceptional host. He explained that there are two sites on the property, and we stayed in the “field” site. When both are occupied, he has positioned them so both are private. Brian provided access to toilets and some running water for washing face and hands. Very friendly, communicative and accommodating host. Field site is super cozy with some shade cover. Would definitely return and recommend!
