Amazing site, but concerns

This site is magical and has everything I was looking for- close to hiking, site right along the creek for fishing, area in the creek to float, private and access to a porta potty. I would love to rate this 5 stars, but cannot. Curt, the owner of the property was great. He responded almost instantly to my questions and even stopped by in his truck shortly after I arrived to check in on me. However, later in the evening, the caretaker of the land (Donny I think) walked over to my site and came right up onto me as I was enjoying my campfire. He said he was checking on me and wanted to make sure I was aware of all the property amenities. That first visit would have been enough (although not needed because Curt already did this), however, Danny came by TWICE more to check on me. The last time was after dark and he walked right up to my site again as I was clearly enjoying the peace and quiet by the fire. I'm sure he means well and takes pride in his caretaking, but as a solo female camper it really creeped me out. Again, the property was amazing and I would definitely stay again if you ensure I won't be bothered by unnecessary checkins.

The perfect spot!

We loved camping at Fombell Landing! Curt was great, the land is beautiful and accessing the camp was super easy. The location was gorgeous and open and we enjoyed being right next to the water. We will definitely come again!

Peace by the creek

Curt was very helpful, allowing us to move further down into the site since we were only staying for one night. It's a beautiful spot, carved out along the creek and the lake. Unfortunately, our timing was not the best and the water was very low. We choose to take the kayaks elsewhere for the day. Nevertheless, we enjoyed a peaceful evening with plenty of firewood!!! Thanks Curt, we'll see you again!

Nice campground with plenty of space to spread out. Quite possibly the cleanest porta-potties I’ve ever used! Would definitely stay again. One thing to note is that a train came through in the night, so you might consider bringing earplugs for sleeping.

A very quiet location although alongside a road. An evening train or two can be a bit loud, but fairly brief. If you like small towns, Zelienople is 10 minutes away - fun, weekly events, shopping and great food options.

It was easy to find but was unable to reach Curt initially. Went ahead and set up as I was the only person there. No trash/dumpster but that was the only small issue for me. Nice sites and will probably stay again.

It was a great spot! We had ducks coming around with little babies. Nice big fire pit. Porta potty could have been cleaned it was a little stinky but over all it was a great experience and camp site for the kids and dog. i will definitely come back in the future

We really enjoyed camping here! Lots of flat land for setting up a tent and listening to the stream was so relaxing. The only small issues that we ran into involved the outhouse; the outhouse wasn’t bolted into the ground (at least in the front, I didn’t check the back), so it was a bit rickety. There was also a good deal of broken glass on the hill leading up to the outhouse. Aside from that, it was a wonderful campsite!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Curts Camp, and it was a fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted by our host, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His genuine kindness added a personal touch that made our stay even more enjoyable. The campsite itself is beautifully maintained, nestled in a rural spot with close residences, its just secluded enough, and was quiet and felt like we were out in the middle of nowhere! Whether you prefer setting up a tent or parking an RV, there are plenty of spots to choose from, all surrounded by nature, water and the soothing sounds of nature. Our host provided us with handy tips on local attractions, hiking trails, and even shared a few secrets for fishing. It was clear he is passionate about this area and truly wants guests to have the best possible experience. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with warm hospitality, I highly recommend staying here. I can't wait to return for another adventure!

Upon arrival we were pleased to see this campsite. Clean and undisturbed. While camping I sustained an injury while splitting wood. Curt was able to guide us to a hospital to get stitched up. When we returned he offered us a free night to make up for lost time. This was a very nice gesture and we will be staying with them again next camping trip.

No privacy and not worth the price

This was not a private property. The host was very accommodating but there were many instances I would.od preferred different. We were along the river but multiple hours of kayakers use your site as a docking spot. There should of been no docking signs for the price we paid. There were two major roads around us creating no privacy. Very over priced for what we got and we have camped many places and got more for less. Would not recommend. Pretty sure the bathrooms haven't been cleaned since April according to the posting.

Curt went above and beyond to make sure we had an awesome adventure. When our original reserved site wasn’t well suited for my van, Curt happily put us in a wonderful site with the creek just across the road. We had such a great time and will be returning soon. Curt was a phenomenal host!

The great escape

Relaxation & Peace the surroundings are beautiful!!! I normally do an RV spot but this time I did a tent spot. I LOVE IT OUT THERE!! & Im pretty sure my puppy loved this spot better he was closer to the water & he could go swimming when ever he wanted lol I also love that it's not far from where I live on my real bad days I go out there... to calm down & just relax. The camp is always clean & well takin care of.. I so wish I could spend / stay more out there It's a whole different world to me out there..

Drove in at night with our RPod 192 from Ohio and never been to the area. Some winding and twisty roads bit fairly easy to find. Set up at night. Didn't realize how close to the tracks we were. Had a train go buy and scared the life out of me while we were sleeping. Not complaining it's all part of the adventure. Easy to book and it was very clean. Will stay again.

So quiet, clean and easy in and out. Sweet and simple. It's not actually a campground per se, and the bathroom isn't a structure, it's a portable, but that was not an issue for us. Our trailer has a bathroom and shower. The water pressure was good!
