Steve was very nice. He greeted us promptly and took us to our camp site. Property was nice and mostly flat. The location was great for us! We will definitely stay again..

Great spot for the night! Easy to find. Completely private and surrounded by woods.
Nicely manicured, huge, lawn with lots of areas to set up your tent(s). Very open. Great for star gazing.
The only thing missing is a port-a-potty but for the price you can't complain.

Quiet and private with beautiful view of surrounding field and forest. Short drive to Presque Isle Beach. Nice flat setup for our RV. The host was exceeding thoughtful and helpful by lending us his grill when ours ran out of propane. Highly recommend!

Steve and Cindy are wonderful people! Their property is beautiful and quiet with both an open field for trailers and wooded spots for tents. Because of all the rain, we weren't able to park in the field but they invited us to park our trailer along their long gravel driveway. We had a great stay and enjoyed checking out the area. Cindy told us about the local town beach and my kids had a blast swimming. I know where we'll stay next time we're passing through!

Steve met us at the road to guide us in to our spot!
Our view each morning was our own little clearing in the woods. We saw deer each day, with birds singing us awake each morning and the fireflies segued into stars each evening.
The site is just a few hundred feet from the road, but there is so little traffic - you hardly notice it’s there.
Steve was great to point out the nearest restaurants, shopping, and even a few local fishing holes.
We did a day trip into Erie and then on to Presque Isle, and also drove over to Ashtabula, OH, to see the covered bridges. We stopped near the Ashtabula Lift Bridge and to dine at Fitzgerald’s Wine Bar - it was amazing!
There’s plenty to do within a short drive from Steve’s place, and it’s also a great place to do nothing at all. Peaceful and beautiful.
He has a good chunk of property to roam around, and also a creek runs through it for great fossil hunting.
Steve was a great communicator and a respectful host!
“Steve’s Fish Camp” is definitely one we’ll be revisiting.

What a perfect (and private!) stop on a cross country driving trip. Steve kept us posted on mud conditions a month in advance and by late March the site was dry as a bone. Lots of private space for the dogs to run and a quiet night in the tent. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our night staying in this quiet and peaceful spot! We arrived after dark but were greeted by at least 50 deer when we pulled in. It was just amazing! Steve was great at communication and made the last minute stop easy for us! Would definitely stay again.

Steve's land is so beautiful. It is mostly thickly wooded and so serene. You could spend all of your time on the property. Steve provided a picnic table and a fire ring. We were worried about hearing highway noise due to the closeness of 79 and 90; it is just a low soft hum in the background. There are parks nearby like Struchen Flats and Erie Bulffs Park to enjoy. And, the gorgeous Presque Isle Park with all it has to offer. We also took side trips to Ashtabula and Conneaut. We visited over 7 parks in our weekend. We would stay again and hope to do so soon.

Steve's hip camp location is great for me. He has a good sized open grass meadow for my 2 large pets🐎🐎There are also smaller forest tent areas. Any rig 50ft or larger might have a problem with the turn in to the area. My rig is 40 ft w/ truck and I made it. Would return again.

I like Steve's mowed property. A friendly man. He comes to check on you after you arrive. My 45ft rig ( truck included) was able to turn into property from road. Hipcamp sign out so you don't miss it. The driveway into the mowed area dips down, but I didn't come close to bottoming out. Then open up to flat turnaround grassy area. If your car/ tent camping, there are smaller private camping spots down the trail into the woods. My two large, we'll behaved, senior pets 🐴🐴 were welcomed. If I'm in the area, I'd stay again.
