Overall, this was a nice place to camp for the night while I was passing through. However, I was not prepared for how close the primitive camp sites were located in proximity to each other, and there was nothing between them for privacy. This is a large family campground located right off the road, so expect kids running around and noise from the road. I wish these details would have been a bit more clear from the description and photos in the Hipcamp listing. That being said, everyone was quiet and respectful, and the restroom/shower facilities were very clean. I could see this being a great camping option for a family or for someone needing amenities, but not the best option for someone seeking a bit more seclusion.

Great place! Close to Lyman run state park and cherry springs state park, the creek is beautiful, nice bathrooms and play ground for kids. Would stay again if in the area

We had a quick weekend stay at Crooked Creek. We loved it. The staff were very nice. The other campers were also very polite. The sites were well maintained. The bathrooms and showers were SO CLEAN. It was quiet and peaceful at night. This was a great place.

My wife and I are yogi’s traveling to Pocono Raceway from New Orleans. We hold yoga events all over the world. And we truly relish a quiet setting that’s wrapped in nature and not too much noise. This place hit the nail on the the head. To wake up , and take ten steps and cold plunge in Pine Creek was simply amazing. The amenities ( laundry, store , showers , and baths were exceptionally nice

This is a big campground with the sites very close to each other, so don’t expect any privacy. I arrived after hours and was assigned to one of the primitive spots. There was a long line of empty spots, but I had no choice and I had to take the one directly next to an existing camp which felt awkward to me when there was so much space available. This is a good camp ground for RVs and families. I’m a solo person just passing through so it was fine for one night. The shower house was impressively clean and the campground felt secure. And even though it was filled with people, it was quiet at night.
