Walking paths leading to the scenic Conowingo Creek make this private setting located in southern Lancaster County a perfect relaxing get away. A short walk will put you on the banks of ideal fishing or a refreshing dip in the beautiful waterway. Some experts claim that plopping a chair in the middle of the creek with a good book is the only way to go! Then, after an evening by the campfire and a cozy night of sleep, a short drive gives you access to the Susquehanna River where hiking and scenic overlooks abound. The area is surrounded by Amish farms and loads of country charm. Got an itch for a historic city experience? Lancaster city is a 30 minute drive north where the historic Lancaster Central Market is open Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and surrounded by lots of quaint shopping. Recently added to Camp Conowingo Extras is the "Henry Hilton" which sleeps two and is an add-on for larger groups or anyone who wants to take in the view, sleeping closer to the stars. We look forward to having you visit us.Our aim is to provide all you'll need for a relaxing private getaway, you can just pack your food and clothing. The bed is always clean and prepared for your arrival with linens to suit the season. We also supply you with plenty of dry firewood, because what would camping be without a fire! Parking pad is for vehicle parking, please use the available wagon located there and walk the short path back to your site. No smoking or vaping of any kind inside the tent.

Conowingo Creek Campsite

My Dog Doesn't Want to Come Home

This is our second year at Conowingo Creek Campsite. The campsite has everything. Even their water tastes amazing. Our pup is often scared and reactive but he loved Gini's friendly dogs, who made our guy feel comfortable and safe. There was lots of time walking trails and hitting the stream. The campsite had firewood and a comfortable tent. There are great hikes within a 20 minute drive, plus an amazing Sniff Spot ten minutes away. I am convinced my dog wants to live their full time.

Words can’t describe the beauty and peacefulness you get while staying here! The host Gini was so accommodating and has thought about everything you will need before you even do. We really enjoyed the walking trails around the property and the creek areas. We will be back!

Conowingo Creek Campsite

Camping with my son …

My son and I stayed at Camp Conowingo for two nights. The host of the site, Gini, thought of everything. It is camping with all the positives and none of the negatives. It is nestled on private land and in a wooded area, Beautiful and private. If you forgot it they have it. We fished in the stream on the Property and went hiking at a state park nearby. We loved it and are already planning a trip back! Thank you for sharing this little slice of heaven with us. ♥️

We loved this place so much. Everything that you can ask for in a camp. You do not have to worry about the amenities at all. You will have everything in this camp site from clean bathroom to unlimited water supply. Gini was so sweet to us. This place is very magical and we will definitely be coming back with friends now. Highly recommend. 😊

Conowingo Creek Campsite

A family tradition

This was our 3rd summer at Gini & Kelly’s stunning site. Although we experienced some summer storms, we felt safe & cared through it all. Our son and pups enjoyed the dry parts of the day fishing in the creek & building epic fires! Gini always allows our son to collect the eggs from the friendly chickens and he looks forward every year. We can’t wait to return for our yearly tradition in 2025!
