A full-connection RV site near Lake Wallenpaupack. It is within a campground that was formerly a “Jellystone Park” and is now comprised of privately owned individual lots for camper units. Most lots have seasonally occupied park model homes and large campers. The host’s part-time residence is next door. The site is an open (no trees) level gravel pad with water, sewer and electric connections plus high speed WiFi. There are tall oak trees adjacent to the lot. The site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Big Bear campground is gated for security (you will be assigned a code) and has an outdoor pool with shower house (summer only), a playground, picnic pavilion, and walking trails. There is a community dumpster. Shopping, eateries, ice cream, pizza, a brewery-restaurant, groceries and laundry in Hawley are within a 7 minute (3 mile) drive. The Lake dam at sunset is popular. Walt’s Landing marina on Lake Wallenpaupack is within a 4 minute (1.5 mile) drive. The interior campground roads have speed bumps and an owner-enforced posted 5.5 mph speed limit. A leashed pet and a supplemental tent for those in your party are allowed. Our dog absolutely loved this park! A group of deer came to our site at sundown to welcome us. Our site was large and level however we needed to connect two hoses to reach the water line. The shower house and pool were distant from our site and had closed the week prior. We only stayed one night so that was not a problem. As in many parks, there is a large range of dwellings, some very new and some old and in need of repair. The park was very quiet and we felt safe. All in all, a good experience. P.S. - The Wallenpaupack Brewery was fun and there other restaurants in the area that, had we stayed longer, we surely would have tried.

Hey, hey Boo-boo, which way to an awesome RV spot?! It's in Hawley, PA. We had a great experience right from booking through our departure. This quiet, well maintained, wooded community was perfect for our dog and us! Our host Laurel reached out to us right away and was easy to communicate with. She provided very detailed instructions from entering the gated community, to locating the site and bathhouse as well as the 20/30/50 hookups and other site specific amenities. Some highlights were plenty of space to walk our dog, a trail to a pond, a tree covered green space with Adirondack chairs, horseshoes, a basketball court and a small pavilion and pool. Honorable mentions were the spacious, newish tile showers, which were one of the nicest and cleanest we’ve ever used! We highly recommend and will definitely book here again when we’re in the area.

Such a beautiful area and a great large spot. If you are a bigger rig make sure you ask about the best directions to get there and how to enter the park. Laurel and Dan were so friendly and we enjoyed meeting them.

Laurel and George are fantastic hosting us with kinda and care , the best warm banana bread in the cold weather , after dinner laurel handed out to the tent gave us some sweet treat .. good memories. We enjoyed the site and time. Ty.

We recently stayed overnight, and it was ideal for our requirements. The site was immaculate, flat, and all the hook-ups were easily accessible and modern. The host was extremely accommodating and delightful to interact with. Thank you!

It was a nice place to stay. Just a single campsite, next to the owner Cottage in a camping community. They were very hospitable and helpful. You may need a long hose and electrical extension cord to connect.

This Hipcsmp was great. The full Hookup was perfect and few cute places to walk to. We really enjoyed our stay at Big Bear and willl be back again
