Stop on our 2025 Road Trip

Bill met us in the driveway and we chatted a bit. He showed us where our site was and headed off in front of us to deliver a fire ring and pre-purchased wood. He also allowed us to fill our tank with his hose which was very helpful! No problem pulling in to spot. Plenty of room for camper and truck. Bill made sure we settled in then went off to see to the site for another trailer which was due to arrive shortly. Once they arrived and were also properly welcomed and settled in, Bill came back to chat while we were cooking dinner. My other half drove tractor trailers for quite a while and Bill is a retired driver so they had stories to share! We asked Bill about biking in the area and if there were any local breweries. He gave us directions to sandy creek bike trail and big rail brewing. Both were excellent! Biking on rail trail had numerous bridges to cross with great views and a 1000 ft railroad tunnel to ride thru. Brewery had live music just setting up and was on a great property. Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, barstools, many choices to relax. Indoor bar as well as food trucks and a beer truck outside too! Loved the IPA!

This campsite is quiet and surrounded by a meadow and trees. There is a lot of space in the site and it is quiet. We’ve been twice now and would go again.

Peaceful & fun for all ages!

We had an amazing time at Bill & Nancy’s place! Our group—4 adults, 2 kids, and 3 dogs—booked the group site and had a huge, quiet, and peaceful area for our two campers. Communication beforehand was easy, and Bill met us at the entrance to guide us to our site. They went above and beyond—Bill set up a firepit and table exactly where we needed them, and we had access to plenty of dry hardwood at a reasonable price. We spent hours playing in the open space, hiking the property, and letting the dogs run free. The kids were obsessed with the pond and loved finding frogs. One of the highlights was the tractor ride Bill and Nancy offered—the kids couldn’t stop talking about it! The bathroom was a short walk away and always clean, which we really appreciated. Bill and Nancy are wonderful hosts, and we’re so grateful they share their beautiful property with others. We definitely hope to return. If it were up to the kids, we’d stay for “10 days!”—and honestly, we just might next time. 😉

Highly Recommend!!

Had a great stay! Bill met us in the driveway and showed us where to park. We requested full hookups so stayed next to the house. Took the dog out for a nice walk along the country road and slept peacefully (actually slept in and was late getting on the road). Serene, quiet, beautifully landscaped property!

Great camping site

We booked the tent camping site #7. It was very quiet and beautiful. This was our second time that we have been in Bill's land and he is a very kind and respectful man. We will book their camp site again.

We really enjoyed our time there. It was a brief stop over, a day of rest. The property is quite beautiful. Bill is great, extremely helpful. The pictures don't do it justice.

We had a wonderful time staying at Bill and Nancy’s Hipcamp! While our site was up against the garage and not a traditional scenic campsite that we are used to, the location was excellent and worked well for our stay. The real highlight was the warm hospitality—Bill and Nancy are fantastic hosts who made us feel welcome from the start. Their property is peaceful, and we appreciated the convenience of being close to everything we wanted to explore. It was a great spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy the surroundings. Campground was clean and quiet. Bathroom was also nice and clean. I didn't see anyone else camping there so it was nice and private. Host had me park on a concrete pad in front of a building instead of the campsite I booked, which I thought was kind of strange. There was also not a fire ring provided for me to use like was shown on the listing.

Beautiful property & awesome hosts!

Bill and Nancy were the best hosts! We camped at their property for 2 nights in late December 2025. Bill communicated clearly from the get go and made sure we had all the info we need to find the property and have a comfortable experience. He took extra steps to ensure that we could use their outdoor flushable toilet even during the winter. Bill made sure to check in on us and ensure that we were setup right and comfortable for the winter camping experience. He also provided us with plenty of firewood to make sure that we were warm and comfortable for the whole stay. Thanks to Bill and Nancy’s hospitality, we had an awesome first winter camping trip. We highly recommended this place and look forward to coming back in the future!

This is our 4th trip and most crowded. There wad a group of 10 people tent camping just 100 yards up the hill from us and another RV over by the main house but it was so spread out that we just did things like we did the last 3 times. I.E. played frisbee with the dog lol

Awesome property! My doggies loved it! Bill and his brother were very welcoming and informative. Their family land is beautiful and if you plan to have a fire, be sure to get the firewood onsite from them. They have plenty. Great stay! We will be back! Thanks Bill and Nancy! We hope to meet Nance too, next time.

We camped at site 7 and loved the quiet view of the field and the amazing sky at night! Bill was very accommodating and friendly and the other campers were also friendly and fun to meet. The property was very neat and well kept and perfect for a weekend getaway!

Safe serenity

Site 4 - Very quiet and secluded...

This was the second time to book with Bill and Nancy and hope to go back in the future. It was particularly magnificent with all the fall leaves. I like walking the well laid trail and watching all the wildlife. I’m a solo traveler and feel very safe here. The camps are far enough apart other people don’t impede your space. Bill and Nancy are superb hosts.

Was easy to get to and be in a level spot. Was quiet and Bill was a gracious host and brought us firewood and was friendly. Even though we only spent 1 night we enjoyed our stay and would stop again when travelling through that way!
