Alpaca's of Fairhawk
Overall, we had a great experience! Meeting the Alpacas when we arrived, and the view from our site was incredible. Packing everything in and out isn't an issue for us, though if it is for anyone else, I'd suggest looking elsewhere as a campfire ring is all that's at the site. On the site page, it's indicated that a picnic table is available, though the hosts mentioned they'd recently moved the actual site, so that wasn't there for us, and a picnic table definitely would've been helpful. Additionally, though we had a site, and our space, completely to ourselves, it was right against a public road. This road wasn't busy by any means, but whenever someone drove by, they were less than 30 feet away. There's privacy most of the time, but the site isn't really secluded. Overall, the hosts were amazing, communicative, and easy to work with, and though the site wasn't completely what we'd expected, it was a fantastic experience and something we'd recommend to anyone!

Great secluded location. Very quick communication with the host. Would absolutely stay again. The firewood was a super nice and appreciated touch. The nearby breakfast as recommended by the host was one of the best I’ve ever had!

Great scenic place + alpacas!
This campground was, probably, the most scenic of my whole experience. The hosts were very friendly, they left us a bunch of dried food so we could feed the alpacas. These animals are amazing! We were traveling with a kid, she was so happy she can walk around the alpacas. Overall, this is a great choice if you are looking for a campground around, absolutely worth it!

My family and I enjoyed our trip here. We were greated like family then offered to meet the animals which was very nice our kids really liked that. Our campsite was on top of a hill over looking farm land we had cows roaming near by my wife loves cows so that made her whole trip. We were referred to a local place Waltz creamery and farm cafe let me tell you 10/10 breakfast! I liked that were away from everything but only 25ish minutes from two cities with everything you may need.

It was simply magic camping here. We stayed at the site closer to the cows and the views from there are amazing. There is a little wooded area where we hang our hammocks and I probably took the best nap of my life there. Our kids had a lot of fun playing with the chickens, dogs and Alpacas. The family that hosted us are genuinely amazing. Richard was very helpful and made our stay seem like we were just visiting our friends (thanks for the salt and pepper again!) I highly recommend staying here. This is heaven in this area. Go to relax and reconnect with Nature. You won’t regret.

Peaceful setting, beautiful views
I had a relaxing time staying on the farm. The camp site is situated along a relatively quiet county road surrounded by pasture and fields. Although the site is on the crest of a hill, and exposed on three sides, it still felt private because the closest farm house is far down hill, separated by a large cow pasture. A line of trees provided ample shade in the afternoon. The camp hosts are friendly and thoughtful. I had a great time touring their farm and chatting with the family. They provided a huge barrel of dry firewood, a special touch I haven’t found at other Hip Camp properties. I would definitely stay at Fairhawk Alpaca Farm again!

We loved staying here!
We absolutely loved camping here and will try to be back whenever we can. It's hard to imagine more hospitable and accomodating hosts, and a more serene, fun location, including some alpaca friends :)

This camp, and the hosts blew us away. The camp site(s) have gorgeous views of the hillside in a pristine farm environment. Brian and Rachel are gifted hosts and absolutely went above and beyond to make us and our 2 young children feel welcome. We wish we could have stayed longer...and would considering staying again if we are ever in the area!! The alpaca site is clean and really fun, the herd is hilarious and enjoyable. The field site is in a little tree grove at the top of a hill with cows frazing nearby. The field is where we stayed and there was a bed of woodchips for our tent and the best firewood ever was provided by Brian...we didnt even need firestarters! If you've read this far, stop reading and BOOK THIS SITE. :)

Little piece of heaven
My husband and I primitive camped over 4th of July. The Montei family was so incredibly kind and welcoming. The farm is just beautiful. They made sure that we had a super comfortable site. Made us a bed of mulch for our tent and cleared a space so the tent would have shade. They provided firewood in a container so it remained dry. We were invited to hang out with the extended family. They are truly kind and wonderful people. The site was beautiful with an exceptional view. We could see many far off fireworks display. Got to see sunrise and sunset, rainbows, cows, deer and of course alpaca. Rachel has a wonderful artistic talent. We had the solitude that we prize with delightful interaction. It is near good food, water sports, biking and hiking. We enjoyed all. I highly recommend that you stay/camp here.

The most wholesome night camping
I had the most wholesome, enjoyable sleeping experience ever at the Alpaca's of Fairhawk! The family invited me to set up my tent in the barn because of the rain, and so I left my tent door open while I was in there. One barn cat slept on my feet; another barn cat slept on my shoulder. Their 100 pound+ puppy slept up against my tent - This was the sweetest cuddle puddle. The family was super welcoming, accommodating, and enjoyable to share time, conversation, and breakfast with. The land is lovely, the animals are abundant, and it is a place that feels like home. I will be returning for sure! The farm is located in a very conservative rural area where folks express their belief systems freely.

This was such a great place to stay: gorgeous view & surroundings (on top of a hill) and great hosts, attentive to all our needs, showing alpacas & other animals to the kids, while not being intrusive at all. Would definitely consider spending a few nights again there!

We met the Alpaca's and nice views
Richard and Rachel were great hosts. They were easy to communicate with leading up to our stay and available onsite to answer any questions when we arrived. In the morning, Rachel invited us to meet the alpaca's, dogs, and cats which was a highlight for our young son. The views from the property and surrounding roads were exceptional. Great vibe and a good time.
