This breathtaking Rivers Edge Getaway overlooks the beautiful Umpqua River, providing a special and private little getaway the whole family (including your pets) can enjoy! This location is a honey hole for fishing Smallmouth Bass, Catfish, and seasonal Steelhead, and Salmon. You can also enjoy a majestic swimming hole with a little sandy beach at low tide providing a peaceful and private feeling for swimming, tubing and all around fun water activities (Bring your swimsuits, kayaks, paddle boards, water toys, and floaties!  We do have some water toys available as well!). If you can pull yourself away, it's just a quick drive to enjoy the beautiful Pacific Ocean, Winchester Bay dunes, Loon Lake, Dean Creek Elk Viewing wildlife recreational area, and so much more. If you’re an avid hiker, in just 30 minutes, you can be at the John Dellenback Dunes Trailhead for some great hiking. If you’re looking for biking trails, not only are the Dunes a great place to start, but you can also ride in the William M Tugman State Park. You can restock for supplies in Reedsport, and just a couple miles down the road visit Umpqua Lighthouse State Park, which is basically a stone's throw away from the beautiful Pacific Ocean! Scenic HWY 101 also provides great views for a relaxing drive as well. Please know, due to the adjacent highway there is some traffic noise. There is also construction noise going on during the week just down the road on the Scottsburg Bridge. This breathtaking Rivers Edge Getaway overlooks the beautiful Umpqua River, providing a special and private little getaway the whole family (including your pets) can enjoy! Fish On!
The river was gorgeous, water access was a but steep for our gear, so we used the Scottsburg county park boat ramp about a mile away and a short paddle. We got to paddle and fish so that was awesome. Its clear the owners have and are always trying to make improvements, access to a table and kayaks if you dont have your own. The site is directly on a dead end road, and close the the main hwy. As previous reviews mentioned there is road noise which didn't bother us. A large gate has been installed and that being closed and the bamboo along the property does give some privacy. Potta potty onsite was functional, but could have used a servicing. For those looking to fish we caught a lot of bass, mostly small but fun and active. High tide was nice to explore the river. Biggest down side, which I understand is out if the owners control are all the cats. They lurk around the property and unfortunately also treat some areas as litter boxes. If you have a dog that chases cats they do immediately run across the street. Just put a bit of a damper on an otherwise really nice site

Riverside Comfort
Situated right by the Umpqua River, this campsite offers not only stunning views but also easy access to the water for kayaking, fishing, or simply enjoying the serene surroundings. With kayaks available on-site, you can effortlessly get out on the river and explore. The campsite is spacious, providing plenty of room for large groups to spread out and enjoy the area together. While the site is rustic, with no water or electric hookups, it does offer a well-maintained portable toilet for convenience. Trash and recycling services are also available, helping to keep the area clean and comfortable. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the excellent opportunities right from the shore, while those looking to unwind will find the peaceful environment perfect for relaxation. The hosts are local and very accommodating, ensuring that everything is in place for a pleasant visit. If you’re looking for a scenic, well-equipped campsite by the river that offers the essentials, Rivers Edge is an outstanding choice.

What a lovely spot. Yes, there is traffic noise, but it’s not that bad. Playing on the river with the provided kayaks was terrific, and the small mouth bass in the river were easy and fun to catch. Will probably book again next year!

N. Umpqua get away
Great little spot on the North Umpqua River! Had a good time fishing, swimming, and paddling around in the kayaks. Enjoyed the view and peacefulness. The road noise wasn't too bad either. We killed our car battery while we were there and the hosts drove out and gave us a jump. Much appreciated! 🙏 We would definitely recommend this place as a nice get away!

Beautiful spot on the river great for swimming. Very nice to be able to use the provided kayaks. The property was spacious with 11 people and two dogs. The gate and bank give nice privacy even though it's on the road through town. There is road noise from the highway that is farther away, but it wasn't too bad. Will definitely be on our list for future trips.
