We really loved this camp spot. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was in a very nice little clearing near the creek. Joy & Chris were very accommodating and we had a great conversation after we checked in.

We had a great time at Dave's Camp! Very nice location, super private with full hook up and decent cell service. We loved the swing by the creek and the trails. Great place for kids and dogs. Nice, central location for all the waterfall trails, lake and river fun in the area. I'm sure we'll be back!

Great location in one of the few areas around Crater Lake that have phone service. If you need to have phone service while camping then you'd better be in Prospect. Takes one hour to get from Dave's camp to the Rim Rd. Very private and quiet. Peaceful place.

Wonderfully private, quiet retreat!
Absolutely loved our time at Dave’s camp! Beautiful parcel, quiet and private. Level pad and all utilities. We did have a thunderstorm that cut power and turned off the well, but when we messaged the host they quickly remedied the situation and restored the water. Did not have T-mobile service, but we expected that. About a 45 minute drive to Crater Lake, with lots of beautiful hikes along the way.

Wow! Where do I start. This place was incredible! We were the only ones on their property with full hookups and trees! Surrounded by nature, it was incredible. We ended up extending our stay twice. The hosts were extremely accommodating and helped with suggestions for hikes, things to do and groceries. We ended up staying and doing nothing for 2 days while enjoying their little deck overlooking the creek. Our kids threw pumice stones in the water while watching in amazement the “rocks” floated away. Our dogs had not been so happy since we had left Alaska in 2017! This is truly a hidden gem. If we are ever back this way we will definitely stay again. We could not have been happier for our first hip-camp experience. I think the bar has been set too high after this stay. This is definitely a place to stay! You will not be disappointed.

The solitude and beauty of the forest that backs up to the farm were both a big plus after leaving a noisy campground! Joy was a great host and her property is beautiful. I was about 30 minutes away from Crater Lake, but also much closer to some beautiful trails. This was a perfect getaway for my little pooch and me.

Privacy & Serenity w/ FULL Hookups!
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Dave’s campsite! Joy and Chris are excellent hosts. This site is a diamond in the rough - full 50amp hookups with maximum privacy and serenity. Joy was wonderful at answering any questions I had and responding promptly before and during our stay. The gated entrance was definitely a plus. It always felt secure. The 60 acres is a beautiful mix of mature forest, open meadows, and hidden streams. There’s a stream not far behind the site - we enjoyed hearing it in the peaceful quiet. Chris directed me to a couple of nice fishing holes with some tips on tackle. There are also several great forest trails on the property for hiking or biking. Sitting outside at dusk with a nice glass of wine there was also deer sighting and plenty of song birds to relax. The spot itself is located in a meadow surrounded by mature trees which provide shade at various times throughout the day. It looked like a great safe place for kids to run and play. We loved the location! Perfect to see so many beautiful waterfalls and rivers. There were several awe inspiring waterfalls in Prospect, with their trailheads only 5-7min from the campsite. We used All Trails to find. Crater Lake was also an easy beautiful drive. Another great day was a visit to the string of falls on Hwy 138 (Watson was our fav). Fishin Hole deli for lunch. Prospect Pizza was good. Be sure to buy your groceries and download your movies in advance (slow mobile svc). Unplug and relax!!
