The Blue river flows down the mountain where it meets the McKenzie river and becomes one. This portion of the McKenzie river is more tranquil and calm. Great for fly fishing! In the summertime you can walk out into the river and take a swim if you’re bold! Water temps are around 50°. In September the salmon make their return home to spawn after an arduous journey. If you wake up and hear a lot of splashing you’re in for a real treat as they lay their eggs and battle the ducks away. October brings rain and filtered sunshine, and mushrooms spring up everywhere. Spring, summer, fall, or winter, the McKenzie River is sure to delight with its breathtaking beauty and a bird lovers paradise!Located just 50 minutes east of Eugene/Springfield . On the Mighty Mckenzie River, In the heart of Willamette National forest. Nearby fishing, fly fishing, boating, rafting, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, Cougar and Belknap Hotprings nearby. Gas, groceries, Resturant (In Rainbow 6 miles east), Indigo Cafe nearby and within walking distance Blue River, Or. Organic Blueberry and vegetable farm (17miles west), gateway to your relaxing weekend getaway. Your fully self contained RV will have access to electricity and water filtered. Level parking on gravel can accommodate 1 RV and 1 car/truck. Privacy at site, however located next to hosts home.

Amazing riverfront stay!
Phoenix Rising RV Camp
My fiancée and I had a wonderful, last minute stay at Shakti’s property. She was extremely accommodating, communicative and friendly. Upon our arrival she was very respectful of our space and privacy, and happy to give us a bunch of local recommendations and even offered us her own garden to use for dinner meals. The spot we parked our camper van was close to level. Something potential guests should know is that there is an emergency light installed near the campsite area so make sure to have black out/shading, which we were lucky to have and it wasn’t an issue. The view and gentle sound of the river was as relaxing as we imagined, and we can’t wait to come back someday. We truly can’t thank Shakti enough for her generosity and hospitality!

Phoenix Rising RV Camp
Shakti's Hipcamp is a delightful perch above a tranquil and scenic stretch of the McKenzie River. The site is small and very close to the house, but the unobstructed front row seats to this slice of Oregon beauty are wonderful. Shakti is a gracious and informative host who can direct guests to the wealth of nearby outdoor recreational opportunities. Access to the river at the site is a bit challenging, but short hikes lead to a variety of fishing and swimming holes, and the sleepy little community of Blue River. There is some noise from the nearby highway, but we didn't find that distracted from the serenity of the site. We would visit Shakti's site again and would recommend it to others.
